-:

Today, we are talking about holidays and how can we come back from our holidays or vacations feeling really well rested. Here are some of my tips. Plan. Have a plan.

-:

When you are booking your holiday do you know what you want to get out of it?

-:

Are you aware of what needs and wants you have and how they can be met?

-:

Do you feel like you want to go on holiday to relax or to have an adventure?

-:

Do you want to experience freedom or change from your normal routine?

-:

Be really clear on these things when you are booking your holiday.

-:

Once your holiday is booked and you are beginning to look forward to it, what do you need to organize?

-:

Which elements can you look forward to pleasing yourself on?

-:

And where do you need to help others organize things for themselves?

-:

What needs to be agreed upfront well before you go on holiday or in the weeks days before you go on holiday?

-:

Is it possible for you to have a technology break whilst you're away?

-:

I'm not suggesting that you have to lose your phone completely, but can you set aside big chunks of your day where you don't need your phone?

-:

If one of the things you want to achieve on holiday is some time relaxing, what are the activities that help you to relax? Do you enjoy reading

-:

more joyful? Will you be able to spend time outside? Do you want to be active?

-:

Will you be eating really well, and will you be able to sleep fabulously?

-:

A couple of years ago, we went on a family holiday where there were the most spectacular blackout blinds in our room, and

-:

all 4 of us went to bed at about 10 o'clock every night and woke up at about 10 o'clock the next morning.

-:

That was a holiday we all came home so well rested from. Be realistic.

-:

Know that not everybody might get on fabulously with every minute of the holiday, and that's okay. That's entirely normal.

-:

Can you have a vision to share your feelings?

-:

Can you say to yourself, on holiday, I will be honest about about what I do and what I don't want?

-:

Can you feel okay about saying no thanks to things that other people want to do, and can you let them just go off and do their thing without you?

-:

How would you like to be active, and can you make sure that that gets planned into your holiday?

-:

A change of routine is a lovely opportunity to be able to consider the things that you want to bring home to your life after your holiday.

-:

Use your holiday as an opportunity to treat yourself.

-:

Perhaps now might be that fabulous time to have a massage, or maybe that time to try out a new exercise class that you wouldn't do at home.

-:

Don't drink, obviously, or if you're going to drink, can you drink much less than you ever would have done on previous holidays?

-:

We so often come back from our holidays saying that we need a holiday to get over our holiday, we come back feeling absolutely

-:

exhausted, bloated or perhaps hungover, and that might not be the feeling that you want to embrace after your holiday.

-:

Thank you so much for listening in again this week.

-:

Check out the show notes on this podcast episode or any other, and you'll see the link to a hidden episode to help you with

-:

your 5 PM cravings, and you'll be able to read about my one to one coaching programme. Thank you for listening in today.

-:

Come back again next week, and PS, I believe in you.
