[Theme Song]

Chelsey Donn:

Hi.

Trey Gerrald:

Oh my gosh.

Trey Gerrald:

Hi Chelsey.

Trey Gerrald:

And hello listeners.

Trey Gerrald:

Welcome to Review That Review!

Trey Gerrald:

The podcast dedicated to reviewing...

Chelsey Donn:

reviews!

Chelsey Donn:

We're just like Siskel and Ebert only instead of reviewing cinematic masterpieces, we

Trey Gerrald:

That's Chelsey Donn.

Chelsey Donn:

And that's Trey Gerrald.

Trey Gerrald:

And together we are

Trey Gerrald:

Chelsey.

Trey Gerrald:

How's your week going?

Chelsey Donn:

Hi, my week is going well.

Chelsey Donn:

I've been busy, but in the good ways I had a bunch of auditions, which is always a thrill and

Chelsey Donn:

So that's, that's making things better in my life.

Chelsey Donn:

How's your week.

Trey Gerrald:

Good.

Trey Gerrald:

You know, it's good.

Trey Gerrald:

It's a, we're dealing with inclement weather up here.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

Some of the other coast, which

Chelsey Donn:

So, sorry,

Trey Gerrald:

I'm, I'm sure you are.

Trey Gerrald:

Chelsey ran away from the east coast.

Trey Gerrald:

And now she's on the west coast, which, you know, I feel like I don't know if this

Chelsey Donn:

do it please.

VOICEOVER:

Lodge A Complaint.

Trey Gerrald:

So it's been snowy and, um, I want to Lodge A Complaint.

Trey Gerrald:

against the difficulty with which it takes to put on and take off snow boots.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Any boot, but yes,

Trey Gerrald:

I actually you're right.

Trey Gerrald:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

It is sort of any boot, but I have these, like, I'm speaking specifically of the non lace up one

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm almost going to like YouTube videos because I don't know if I'm doing it wrong.

Trey Gerrald:

It takes so much strength and stamina to squash my foot and pull it up over like my heel and

Trey Gerrald:

It's like, I don't know if it's specific to the Croc cause it's like rubbery, but.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah,

Trey Gerrald:

And then I have like heavy duty socks on because it's cold and it

Trey Gerrald:

I break into a sweat, and it's not because the size is too small and the size is perfect.

Trey Gerrald:

It's so hard to navigate.

Trey Gerrald:

My little socked foot and then taking it off is such a nightmare because the first one is fine.

Trey Gerrald:

Cause I can like use one foot against the heel of the other to get that one off.

Trey Gerrald:

But then I have to use my socked foot on the wet boot to get the other one off.

Trey Gerrald:

And then it's just a nightmare.

Trey Gerrald:

So I'm lodging a complaint against the difficulty with which it takes to put these boots on and off.

Trey Gerrald:

Please tell me anything occurring to you.

Chelsey Donn:

So many things are occurring to me.

Chelsey Donn:

What's really funny about Trey and I is that we never share our complaints with one another.

Chelsey Donn:

Like, we both have a lot, you know, like a list that we keep, And on my list is boots.

Chelsey Donn:

And the fact that getting out of a boot is like a full-time job.

Chelsey Donn:

Like, like.

Chelsey Donn:

I swear to God, I could pull it up, show it to the page around it's on my list.

Chelsey Donn:

I even do like a little standup bit about it.

Chelsey Donn:

How like literally getting out of a boot.

Chelsey Donn:

It's like, I'm fully employed.

Chelsey Donn:

You know, if it's like my day off, I feel like I'm going to work because I

Chelsey Donn:

So I don't have anybody to help me get the boot off.

Chelsey Donn:

So I just have to do it by myself.

Chelsey Donn:

It's not like Goldie's going to help me get the boot off.

Chelsey Donn:

And it's a little.

Chelsey Donn:

The zipper is helpful.

Chelsey Donn:

Like if the boot has a zipper, then not really changes the game.

Chelsey Donn:

But if there's just, like you said, like nose zipper, I just got to stick my foot in there.

Chelsey Donn:

It's something about friction, I guess maybe,

Trey Gerrald:

what it is.

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Chelsey Donn:

also.

Chelsey Donn:

If you're going to fly in a boot, never take the boot off in the air.

Chelsey Donn:

Because if you're flying in a boot and then you take your boot off in the air,

Chelsey Donn:

So there's a lot.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

There's a lot of issues that I have with boots, but I don't know how we fix it.

Chelsey Donn:

Try a shoe horn.

Chelsey Donn:

I don't know what we do, but that's going in.

Chelsey Donn:

We need like

Trey Gerrald:

But even the shoe horn.

Trey Gerrald:

there's not enough space already.

Trey Gerrald:

And It's also like, it's not because the Buddhist too small, because I

Chelsey Donn:

It's

Trey Gerrald:

There is space.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

There's space inside.

Trey Gerrald:

So it's, it's really the ankle.

Trey Gerrald:

The getting my foot through the little ankle size of the boot is what is so challenging

Trey Gerrald:

That's my complaint, please.

Trey Gerrald:

Shark tank pay attention.

Chelsey Donn:

I feel you.

Chelsey Donn:

I definitely feel you.

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

What about you.

Chelsey Donn:

my complaint today is about inconsistent sizing.

Chelsey Donn:

Like when you buy multiple items, like you buy it in red, you buy it in blue, you buy it in black.

Chelsey Donn:

And it's like, why is the black bigger than the red?

Chelsey Donn:

It's literally the same exact product.

Trey Gerrald:

um,

Chelsey Donn:

I ordered it in the same exact window.

Chelsey Donn:

I just picked a different color.

Chelsey Donn:

Why is it a different size?

Chelsey Donn:

And specifically, this has been affecting me lately with Goldie, with harnesses.

Chelsey Donn:

I want to show Patreon a visual aid, but I get are these harnesses, which I love,

Chelsey Donn:

They're super easy.

Chelsey Donn:

Some of the extra smalls that I buy Goldie, they fit perfect.

Chelsey Donn:

Maybe even a little bit.

Chelsey Donn:

I got the red same exact thing, same exact link.

Chelsey Donn:

I don't know if you could tell, try the circles are so different.

Chelsey Donn:

Do you see that?

Trey Gerrald:

I could see it as clear as day.

Chelsey Donn:

mean, it is crazy.

Chelsey Donn:

Like the circle on the left is like, like a circle, which is like

Chelsey Donn:

And then the other circle is an oval, like a wider oval, like who did this?

Chelsey Donn:

Who did this?

Chelsey Donn:

How does this happen?

Chelsey Donn:

Like she literally has the teal one on right now.

Chelsey Donn:

Same brand, same everything.

Chelsey Donn:

And they're both of the circles are like the oval side and it fits her.

Chelsey Donn:

Great.

Chelsey Donn:

What has happened?

Trey Gerrald:

That is the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

Is it a crazy, like, I was like, I put it on her and I was like, oh my God.

Chelsey Donn:

Like, did Goldie get huge in between me washing the old harness and me like

Chelsey Donn:

And then they looked at the two circles that I was like, this is laughable and insane.

Chelsey Donn:

So I might have to call and actually Lodge A Complaint to the

Trey Gerrald:

think you should.

Trey Gerrald:

That seems like a defect.

Chelsey Donn:

That it seems like something's wrong.

Chelsey Donn:

Like they should know, like I would be doing them a disservice if I didn't tell them.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Trey Gerrald:

I agree.

Chelsey Donn:

I wonder why that happens.

Chelsey Donn:

I don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

it's so illogical to me that I can't even come up with a possibility

Trey Gerrald:

You think it's would be uniform,

Chelsey Donn:

exactly.

Chelsey Donn:

Like aren't they just cutting it from a pattern or something?

Chelsey Donn:

I don't

Trey Gerrald:

right?

Trey Gerrald:

You would think.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

I dunno.

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, I hear you.

Chelsey Donn:

Let us know listeners, let us know if you have issues with

Chelsey Donn:

If you have any suggestions for us, we're always open to them.

Chelsey Donn:

1-850-REVIEW-0.

VOICEOVER:

Listener voice.

Chelsey Donn:

Do we have a listener?

Chelsey Donn:

I tee that up so well,

Trey Gerrald:

and that wasn't planned.

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

So today we have our ongoing listener voicemail and I I'll take the fault.

Trey Gerrald:

I got a little behind and, um, keeping up with all of the voicemails.

Trey Gerrald:

Uh, and so today we have one that's regarding, our request to hear listeners new year's resolution.

Trey Gerrald:

So Here we are.

Chelsey Donn:

yay.

Trey Gerrald:

the week after Valentine's day.

Chelsey Donn:

it's totally fine.

Chelsey Donn:

And we're completely allowed to try and keep up with the new year's resolution still.

Chelsey Donn:

So I can't wait to hear it.

Trey Gerrald:

So here we got let's.

Trey Gerrald:

Listen, this is from listener James.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

Has James caught him before?

Trey Gerrald:

He has, yes, he hasn't heed.

Trey Gerrald:

All right, here we go.

VOICEOVER:

Hey guys, just James, just listening to your nears up.

VOICEOVER:

And I had to press pause because I don't believe in resolutions.

VOICEOVER:

I don't think for me that they've ever been productive.

VOICEOVER:

And the same way that has goal setting workshops.

VOICEOVER:

Instead.

VOICEOVER:

I'm a big believer in setting intention because that can change every day.

VOICEOVER:

It can be in the moment when things feel like you need right now.

VOICEOVER:

And so I'm setting the intention not to make a resolution and instead to start

VOICEOVER:

And so my friends.

VOICEOVER:

And anyway, love you guys.

VOICEOVER:

Happy new year.

Chelsey Donn:

oh, I love that so much, James.

Trey Gerrald:

James for president.

Chelsey Donn:

James for president James like said everything I would ever want to say about

Chelsey Donn:

And I love as soon as James said that I got more calm when he was like, I just start

Chelsey Donn:

And that really does take the pressure off.

Trey Gerrald:

It is interesting because after that episode, I have had a lot of

Trey Gerrald:

Which is something we didn't really touch on, but there's also something

Trey Gerrald:

Like what is the actual commitment to maintaining a resolution versus, and James's

Trey Gerrald:

And there are guide posts with which to measure meeting your intention or not.

Chelsey Donn:

Yes.

Trey Gerrald:

sometimes our resolution can be a little more, like more

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

And like daunting exactly hard to gauge.

Chelsey Donn:

And yeah, I love, I love the intention cause it just feels like you get

Chelsey Donn:

Like you don't have to take, if you didn't really meet the mark yesterday, it doesn't

Chelsey Donn:

You know, I love that.

Trey Gerrald:

Also something like the root word of resolution and resolve something about

Trey Gerrald:

And I think intentionality is like really powerful in a way, like, I, I appreciate

Trey Gerrald:

And I think that if we all sort of took that on ourselves, the world would

Chelsey Donn:

It is true.

Chelsey Donn:

And I think with that in mind, what James said to us, it allows us to put a little bit of a spin

Chelsey Donn:

Right?

Chelsey Donn:

Because even if people didn't show up as their best selves, perhaps on these

Chelsey Donn:

They have the opportunity to rewrite that narrative tomorrow.

Chelsey Donn:

So I liked that.

Chelsey Donn:

I liked that as a segue in, what do you think?

Chelsey Donn:

Should we, uh, jump into reading some online reviews?

Chelsey Donn:

Try.

Trey Gerrald:

Good job, Chelsey.

Trey Gerrald:

I love that here.

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Trey Gerrald:

I think that we shut.

Chelsey Donn:

All right.

Chelsey Donn:

As you know, we are your trusty Review!

Chelsey Donn:

Queens.

Chelsey Donn:

We each bring in a review from the internet that we feel needs to be inspected.

Trey Gerrald:

We read you the Review!

Trey Gerrald:

break it down and rate the impact of the review on a scale from one to five crowns,

VOICEOVER:

Assess That Kvetch

Chelsey Donn:

That's right.

Chelsey Donn:

And you are first today, Trey.

Chelsey Donn:

Whoo.

Chelsey Donn:

Take it away.

Chelsey Donn:

RQ T.

VOICEOVER:

Review That Review.

Trey Gerrald:

All right, everyone.

Trey Gerrald:

So today I have a one star review from Trustpilot for.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

Here we go.

Trey Gerrald:

It's a biggie

Chelsey Donn:

no.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh God.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

Walmart

Chelsey Donn:

Well, my bird what's their big saying like bigger savings or is that big lots?

Chelsey Donn:

I don't know.

Chelsey Donn:

Sorry,

Trey Gerrald:

Rolling back prices or something.

Chelsey Donn:

them back.

Trey Gerrald:

I feel like they changed the slogans a lot.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh God.

Trey Gerrald:

So, this is actually written by Raynell W.

Trey Gerrald:

They spell it R a Y N E L L w.

Chelsey Donn:

Raynell w okay.

Trey Gerrald:

And the subject is, went to Walmart yesterday to get dot dot dot.

Trey Gerrald:

And this is Raynell W's one star Trustpilot Review for Walmart.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

Went to Walmart yesterday to get something for grubs.

Trey Gerrald:

Asked a associate if they carried this product.

Trey Gerrald:

A man that works there told her it's in automotive.

Trey Gerrald:

I couldn't find it.

Trey Gerrald:

Just have been out.

Trey Gerrald:

I saw the guy coming with a Uboat, stacked with boxes and started telling him I couldn't find it.

Trey Gerrald:

And he told me, quote, 'I don't know what you're talking about.'

Trey Gerrald:

I started to tell him and he says to me, and I quote, quote, 'get out of the way.' I

Trey Gerrald:

This is heavy!'

Trey Gerrald:

I boat is on wheels and he brought it up from the back of the store.

Trey Gerrald:

I started talking to him and he said, again, quote, ' get out of the way,

Trey Gerrald:

I started walking and told him out loud, he's only cares about money and the customers.

Trey Gerrald:

He started talking and I said, quote, 'don't bother do what you're doing.

Trey Gerrald:

Don't worry about respecting customers go about with your job.'

Trey Gerrald:

This was in Waterville, Maine.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, my God.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

Raynell I'm very confused about many things that I'm going to need to unpack with you.

Chelsey Donn:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

I hope I have the

Chelsey Donn:

All right.

Chelsey Donn:

What's a U boat.

Chelsey Donn:

What's an I boat.

Chelsey Donn:

W what is that?

Chelsey Donn:

A spelling error.

Trey Gerrald:

Good job.

Trey Gerrald:

So I think, um, I don't understand what an Ibotta is.

Trey Gerrald:

I think that, I think that's the type of, There's a lot of

Chelsey Donn:

a lot of typos.

Trey Gerrald:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

So a UBA.

Trey Gerrald:

Is like, you know, a Dolly where you stack boxes and you wheel it around.

Trey Gerrald:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

So that's as if you would take the Dolly all the way to the ground so

Chelsey Donn:

Take the Dolly all the way to the ground.

Chelsey Donn:

So is there no handle?

Trey Gerrald:

So you have a handle on, on either end of the U boat.

Trey Gerrald:

It's basically the shape of a capital U,

Chelsey Donn:

Got it.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

And

Trey Gerrald:

the bottom of the U it has wheels has four

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

So I

Trey Gerrald:

like, if you did a you and like block letters, like you're at like FSU

Trey Gerrald:

So it's like boxy then like on each corner of the bottom of the year, you have wheels, that's

Trey Gerrald:

a U boat.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

So do we think the second time that they said I bought a man.

Trey Gerrald:

I think so.

Trey Gerrald:

Like I, yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

So I think they're trying to say like the U boat is on wheels and he brought

Trey Gerrald:

So why are you telling me it's heavy?

Trey Gerrald:

You're It's on wheels.

Chelsey Donn:

on wheels.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

Well, things on wheels can still be heavy.

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Chelsey Donn:

So they went to Walmart for grubs.

Trey Gerrald:

G R U B S

Chelsey Donn:

I assumed at first that that meant food, but then they said that

Chelsey Donn:

What product.

Trey Gerrald:

yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

I have no idea.

Trey Gerrald:

I thought, cause at first I thought grubs meant food.

Trey Gerrald:

Then I thought maybe it was like a nickname for like a grandfather getting something for grubs,

Trey Gerrald:

And I'm seeing it's like a bug.

Chelsey Donn:

Got it.

Chelsey Donn:

So I, I think that they meant for.

Chelsey Donn:

I don't know why, but I write, I just feel like I went to Walmart for grubs.

Chelsey Donn:

Like that makes sense that it's food to me.

Chelsey Donn:

So either way, either way.

Trey Gerrald:

So I'm looking and I see grubs when I Google it it's larva.

Chelsey Donn:

Ill.

Chelsey Donn:

I can't imagine

Trey Gerrald:

like you get them and your it's like insects and beetles that feed on your lawn.

Trey Gerrald:

So maybe that would be an automotive?

Trey Gerrald:

art towards

Chelsey Donn:

an automotive?

Chelsey Donn:

I don't

Trey Gerrald:

I don't

Chelsey Donn:

That's gross.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

Well, the point here's the, here's the ultimate point.

Chelsey Donn:

I think that we're making is that, I'm sorry.

Chelsey Donn:

Raynell w but we're confused.

Chelsey Donn:

I don't understand the message.

Chelsey Donn:

And I also feel like there's a lot of contradiction here.

Chelsey Donn:

Like.

Chelsey Donn:

You only didn't they say at one way, like he only cares about money and customers and

Chelsey Donn:

Like, okay.

Chelsey Donn:

If you only cares about money and customers.

Chelsey Donn:

Well, as long as customer is a part of that, I'm kind of okay with that, you

Trey Gerrald:

But also at the beginning, they say, went to Walmart

Trey Gerrald:

If they carry the product, a man that works there told her it's an automotive.

Trey Gerrald:

So wait, what, Who so is someone writing this on.

Chelsey Donn:

Um,

Trey Gerrald:

confrontation, they say, I, I was past, I started walking and told

Trey Gerrald:

it's an automotive.

Trey Gerrald:

I don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

Also I think the glaring, like hilarity here for me is like, this person

Trey Gerrald:

In the middle of like pushing a heavy thing with like huge stuff on it.

Trey Gerrald:

And you're like yelling at them to tell you where something is.

Trey Gerrald:

Like, I understand in stores, you can flag down people that work there and stuff, but

Trey Gerrald:

Cause they're like, Ooh, move, move.

Trey Gerrald:

Which I think, I don't think it's the best approach to say move.

Trey Gerrald:

Get out of the way.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

Like, I, I did think that, like, it seemed like that was a little bit rude.

Chelsey Donn:

The way that Raynell was explaining it, like move no move, like, all right.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

That's not the

Trey Gerrald:

yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

but it's like, The way that they're describing it, it almost

Chelsey Donn:

We've got something really heavy on it and it's like precarious, you know what I mean?

Chelsey Donn:

And like Raynell is just standing there.

Chelsey Donn:

Like, I have a question and they're like, move lady move.

Chelsey Donn:

You're going to be like mold down by this thing.

Chelsey Donn:

You know, like, based on all the information that Raynell is giving me, even though normally

Chelsey Donn:

I don't know if their hold of the narrative is very trustworthy.

Chelsey Donn:

Like, do, do you like, besides the fact that it's so complicated to understand what the message

Chelsey Donn:

Do you, do we trust them?

Trey Gerrald:

At it for me, I feel like it's a little out of touch.

Trey Gerrald:

To request information from someone who's in the middle of a task.

Trey Gerrald:

I recognize that that is common practice, but this person is, is moving like equipment.

Trey Gerrald:

Um, so maybe like, say like, I have a question when you have a

Trey Gerrald:

Can you help me?

Trey Gerrald:

I don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

I feel like they're just too preoccupied with grubs and themselves.

Chelsey Donn:

I also like, okay, cool.

Chelsey Donn:

Like at the end you're like this store is and whatever mean.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay, cool.

Chelsey Donn:

I just, I'm a little bit confused.

Chelsey Donn:

What do we hope that Trustpilot is going to do this?

Chelsey Donn:

Review!

Chelsey Donn:

you know what I mean?

Chelsey Donn:

Like we weren't given enough specifics to know what is it that Walmart or this

Chelsey Donn:

Like does corporate need to call up and just say, make sure that you're attending

Chelsey Donn:

This Review!, you know what I mean?

Chelsey Donn:

Cause I know that a lot of these stores, the experience is about the

Chelsey Donn:

I just I'm I'm struggling to ascertain what the intended impact of this Review!

Chelsey Donn:

is.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

And it's also interesting like that Raynell did not get the name on the badge of this person.

Trey Gerrald:

Like, I feel like that would have been helpful for your cause.

Trey Gerrald:

I mean, I think like, as far as value here, it feels a little like Raynell

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

That's my opinion here.

Trey Gerrald:

And I feel like, you know, if someone is in the middle of a task, like it might

Chelsey Donn:

Is it annoying that you might have to find somebody else or

Chelsey Donn:

Like, yeah, it's annoying.

Chelsey Donn:

Like I've been in home Depot or something and ask people and they're

Chelsey Donn:

Cause they're like in the middle of doing something else and it's like,

Chelsey Donn:

And it's like a little annoying.

Chelsey Donn:

If the person that I'm asking is telling me is clearly doing a task and telling

Chelsey Donn:

I'm not going to then continue to be rate them and then make myself this like victim

Chelsey Donn:

I don't know.

Chelsey Donn:

There's something in that whole exchange for me that made me not trust the source.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

I definitely think that I can't really tell if it's truthful or if it's shady.

Trey Gerrald:

I just think it's inappropriate.

Trey Gerrald:

I feel like, why are you mad at someone who's like in the middle of like a very

Trey Gerrald:

But you're at work like it, like if you're on the floor, someone might ask you a question, but I

Trey Gerrald:

I mean, there's so many, So many misspellings.

Trey Gerrald:

I can't even tell like who the narrator is half the time.

Trey Gerrald:

Also, this is really interesting.

Trey Gerrald:

I've never seen this before.

Trey Gerrald:

They are quoting this worker many times, but there are never end quote.

Chelsey Donn:

well, that

Trey Gerrald:

Which is very, like, that's a very odd typo.

Trey Gerrald:

And then, I mean, do you think this is common or typical?

Trey Gerrald:

I mean, I don't think I would go up to someone pushing heavy, like a heavy U-boat of box.

Trey Gerrald:

I wouldn't ask them.

Trey Gerrald:

I would think that like, you know,

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Like I said, like,

Trey Gerrald:

something.

Chelsey Donn:

I don't think that every person is going to like really narrow in on this

Chelsey Donn:

Like, I, I don't think that that's common or at all indicative of

Trey Gerrald:

No.

Trey Gerrald:

I mean, I think ultimately the value and the fact that this the impact is like

Trey Gerrald:

Isn't going to have an impact on me.

Trey Gerrald:

Every Walmart in the world.

Trey Gerrald:

Also, I don't think that I would act the way that this narrator is acting.

Trey Gerrald:

So therefore the impact again is zero.

Trey Gerrald:

I was entertained because there is something about the audacity of being so everyone in the sort of

Chelsey Donn:

right, right,

Trey Gerrald:

something hilarious about that.

Chelsey Donn:

But not in like an intentional way, like not like, oh,

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Raynell really went out of her way to be funny.

Chelsey Donn:

It's almost like a we're laughing at not.

Trey Gerrald:

Right.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm getting a sense of how this person operates in the world.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

Exactly.

Chelsey Donn:

I think I'm ready to crown this.

Chelsey Donn:

Do you think there's anything else that we should consider?

Trey Gerrald:

no, I'm definitely ready to crown let's

Chelsey Donn:

All right, let's do it.

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

So Chelsey and I each have our own set of one to five crown cards and in an effort

VOICEOVER:

The Queens are Tabulating.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

Queens are unanimous.

Chelsey Donn:

We are both holding up half crown.

Chelsey Donn:

I mean, I think it's pretty obvious.

Chelsey Donn:

I didn't, I didn't feel like Raynell deserved a zero.

Chelsey Donn:

I gave Raynell a half crown because I don't want to sign off on being mean to a customer.

Chelsey Donn:

That's really it.

Trey Gerrald:

Correct.

Chelsey Donn:

really the only thing I could say, like, all right.

Chelsey Donn:

I, I agree.

Chelsey Donn:

We shouldn't be rude.

Chelsey Donn:

But that's it.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

I said half crown for the same reason.

Trey Gerrald:

Like, I feel like now I have a little information that may be customer service.

Trey Gerrald:

Isn't as great, generally in Waterville, Maine, but I don't know How many

Trey Gerrald:

That's not really that helpful.

Trey Gerrald:

And I also agree, like, I think like you are at work.

Trey Gerrald:

And so if someone's asking you, a question, like, I think there's a

Trey Gerrald:

I mean, so I said half crown because it's just pretty, it's pretty silly to me.

Chelsey Donn:

Agreed, sorry, sorry.

Chelsey Donn:

Raynell sorry.

Chelsey Donn:

It sounded like you were having a bad day and you know, what's great about

Trey Gerrald:

new intention

Chelsey Donn:

and have a better day tomorrow Raynell.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, let's take a quick break, keep our intentions high.

Trey Gerrald:

And when we come back, we will get into Chelsey's.

Trey Gerrald:

Review!.

Chelsey Donn:

Ah, I can't wait.

Chelsey Donn:

BRB.

VOICEOVER:

Hold your crown.

VOICEOVER:

We'll be right back.

Trey Gerrald:

It's game time.

Trey Gerrald:

Chelsey, let's take a quick spin on the Meryl-Go-Round shadowy.

Chelsey Donn:

Yes.

Chelsey Donn:

Yes.

VOICEOVER:

don't feel like an icon.

VOICEOVER:

Most of the days, I feel like 'I can't!' That's with an, A'..

Chelsey Donn:

All right.

Chelsey Donn:

Here's the deal.

Chelsey Donn:

Trey and I have each picked a rotten scathing, pithy One-Star-Zinger.

Chelsey Donn:

And with 30 seconds on the clock, we will take turns, trying to recite the

Trey Gerrald:

Just like queen Meryl Streep, who literally does it all.

Chelsey Donn:

literally before the clock runs out.

Trey Gerrald:

All right, Chelsey, what is your zinger to.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

So my zinger today, I decided to go back to a source that you and I

Chelsey Donn:

is A'..

Chelsey Donn:

I know it's been a little, it's been a minute, right?

Chelsey Donn:

So this is a one-star review for the book, outliers, the story

Chelsey Donn:

It is a one-star review written by mark P and the Review!

Chelsey Donn:

is, would use this as toilet paper.

Chelsey Donn:

If it wasn't on my Kindle,

Trey Gerrald:

Oh, dear,

Chelsey Donn:

I guess he didn't like the bug.

Trey Gerrald:

not.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, in that case, Chelsey I'm in a strap you into a plunger.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh my God.

Chelsey Donn:

Yes.

Chelsey Donn:

Let's plunge this a Meryl-Go-Round I don't

Trey Gerrald:

make sure you sit on that appropriately.

Trey Gerrald:

a broom

Chelsey Donn:

I can, I can.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah, exactly.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm going to fly this plunger, like a around that.

Chelsey Donn:

Meryl-Go-Round I am ready.

Trey Gerrald:

All right, here we go.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

VOICEOVER:

Two, One, GO!.

Chelsey Donn:

Would use this as toilet paper.

Chelsey Donn:

wasn't on my Kindle.

Trey Gerrald:

magic show

Chelsey Donn:

Hey, Brian, it wasn't on my Kindle.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh,

Trey Gerrald:

game show

Chelsey Donn:

Paper, if it wasn't on my Kindle,

Trey Gerrald:

Disney, teen drama.

Chelsey Donn:

it wasn't on Kindle.

Chelsey Donn:

So,

Trey Gerrald:

shop.

Trey Gerrald:

You've got five.

Chelsey Donn:

I feel good about that.

Chelsey Donn:

That was a long, there was a long zinger mark P right.

Trey Gerrald:

that was good.

Chelsey Donn:

Thank you.

Chelsey Donn:

Where is your zinger from today?

Trey Gerrald:

Today I have a Google one star review for Swiss, miss milk

Trey Gerrald:

And this is written by Q X S

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

Q axis.

Trey Gerrald:

Cute, cute.

Trey Gerrald:

Cute.

Trey Gerrald:

There's no Q axis

Chelsey Donn:

QX.

Trey Gerrald:

and the subject is no thanks.

Trey Gerrald:

And the Review!

Trey Gerrald:

is.

Trey Gerrald:

Honestly, this is like a laxative.

Chelsey Donn:

Wait, it's off.

Chelsey Donn:

It's a rod job late.

Chelsey Donn:

Like, but it's a laxative.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

All right.

Chelsey Donn:

We're very toil.

Chelsey Donn:

Look at this.

Chelsey Donn:

Like we're again

Trey Gerrald:

Oh my

Chelsey Donn:

sync with our toilet humor.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

Try.

Chelsey Donn:

I know.

Chelsey Donn:

Isn't that weird.

Chelsey Donn:

All right.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm going to hook you into a toilet paper roll, but I want you to be in the center of it.

Chelsey Donn:

So like your cushioned, your cushioned, all around, you know, in case the Meryl-Go-Round

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

I love that.

Trey Gerrald:

Thank you.

Trey Gerrald:

I feel so Safe

Chelsey Donn:

inside your Sharman.

Chelsey Donn:

All right, let's do it.

Chelsey Donn:

Are you ready?

Trey Gerrald:

I'm ready?

Trey Gerrald:

Here we go.

Chelsey Donn:

Yes.

VOICEOVER:

Three, Two, One, GO!.

Chelsey Donn:

opera.

Trey Gerrald:

Honestly, this is laxative.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah,

Trey Gerrald:

Honestly,

Chelsey Donn:

opera dealer.

Chelsey Donn:

Adult film.

Trey Gerrald:

honestly, this is like a laxative, honestly.

Chelsey Donn:

All right, I'm going to give that to you.

Chelsey Donn:

That's five.

Chelsey Donn:

Did I get five to,

Trey Gerrald:

Yes, Ty's he's

Chelsey Donn:

it's high.

Chelsey Donn:

The Queens.

Chelsey Donn:

Are you not a amiss?

Chelsey Donn:

I, again, look at that.

VOICEOVER:

Review That Review.

Trey Gerrald:

Yay.

Trey Gerrald:

We are back from that rousing game break.

Trey Gerrald:

Can't not say rousing anymore.

Trey Gerrald:

And now Chelsey.

Trey Gerrald:

It is your turn.

Trey Gerrald:

What is your Review!

Trey Gerrald:

for us?

Chelsey Donn:

So this week I have a Yelp review for the restaurant Nizam of India.

Chelsey Donn:

Uh, it is a restaurant located in Los Angeles.

Chelsey Donn:

This is a one-star review written by Real D I mean, I don't know.

Chelsey Donn:

You should have seen anything with what the D stands for, but, you guys can tell

Chelsey Donn:

I'm sorry.

Chelsey Donn:

I've given this place too many chances.

Chelsey Donn:

I feel like I need to rate it one start because I am sick and tired of getting

Chelsey Donn:

It is always the same one long, one long, very long piece of white hair.

Chelsey Donn:

I found one in my lamb beer Yana last year.

Chelsey Donn:

Let it slide ordered a lamb biryani again, the next time I went and there was another

Chelsey Donn:

And the first goddamn dish I get lamb.

Chelsey Donn:

Berra masala has a goddamn silver hair.

Chelsey Donn:

It in w

Chelsey Donn:

WTF?!

Chelsey Donn:

WTMF?!

Chelsey Donn:

No, those aren't days of the f-ing week.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm so goddamn mad at this place and their goddamn hygiene.

Chelsey Donn:

Don't believe me.

Chelsey Donn:

Go and see for yourself, order something.

Chelsey Donn:

Anything I guarantee you, there will be a long white, silver hair

Chelsey Donn:

Goddamn

Trey Gerrald:

wait.

Chelsey Donn:

Real D.

Trey Gerrald:

How do they

Chelsey Donn:

roll

Trey Gerrald:

How do they spell goddamn?

Chelsey Donn:

good question.

Chelsey Donn:

I mean, they, they really like went for the full, they it's one word G O D D a M N one word.

Trey Gerrald:

It's funny to me that they'll say goddamn, but they won't say fuck.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

And they, and then they spell out effing, eff I N G.

Chelsey Donn:

Uh, thing week.

Trey Gerrald:

also funny to me, cause I was writing notes and like I wrote WTF then w

Trey Gerrald:

And then literally, no, not the weeks of days of the week.

Chelsey Donn:

are days, of the f-ing week

Trey Gerrald:

What does w T M F stand for?

Trey Gerrald:

What the mother

Chelsey Donn:

mother.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

is that even a say.

Chelsey Donn:

According to the Real D it is.

Chelsey Donn:

It's not a saying that I've heard.

Chelsey Donn:

I mean, obviously WTF, but like no WTM if I haven't heard, but I do like, think it's

Trey Gerrald:

I think I'm going to take that into my life.

Chelsey Donn:

yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

I like it.

Chelsey Donn:

What do you think of that commitment to the word goddamn.

Chelsey Donn:

I mean, should, should I count quickly?

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah, Why don't you add it up?

Chelsey Donn:

I'm going to add.

Trey Gerrald:

You know, I grew up very Christian and saying goddamn was.

Trey Gerrald:

Explicitly off the table.

Trey Gerrald:

It was like, so inappropriate to say that.

Trey Gerrald:

And now that I'm an adult and I've experienced other truths in my life than

Trey Gerrald:

I feel like it's just a word and where it's only half the meaning you apply to them.

Trey Gerrald:

I don't think it's that big of a deal, but I am a clutching my pearls

Trey Gerrald:

And this person is saying goddamn that many times about a restaurant.

Chelsey Donn:

5 times

Trey Gerrald:

a lot.

Chelsey Donn:

like a row, not like a super long Review!, you know what I mean?

Chelsey Donn:

Like I felt like I was saying the word a lot and I agree, like, you know, I'm not

Trey Gerrald:

How do you spell God?

Trey Gerrald:

Do you say, do you do a dash like

Chelsey Donn:

I don't spell it out.

Chelsey Donn:

I do dash or I do the lowercase, which I appreciate that actually

Chelsey Donn:

They didn't do the upper case G when they were saying the name in vain.

Chelsey Donn:

So, you know, I appreciate that.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, we're already on this topic.

Trey Gerrald:

So what is the spelling lag?

Chelsey Donn:

it's not all bad, but I really did try to lean in to the

Trey Gerrald:

It's funny to me because the color of the hair was described three

Trey Gerrald:

Did she catch.

Chelsey Donn:

no.

Chelsey Donn:

Tell

Trey Gerrald:

White then they said silver.

Trey Gerrald:

Then they said silver, white or white silver.

Trey Gerrald:

Cause at first I like, who a white hair?

Trey Gerrald:

And then the next time they were like silver.

Trey Gerrald:

And then at, by the end they say both, you know, I think that for me.

Trey Gerrald:

the value in this information is like, you know, it is disgusting to find hair.

Trey Gerrald:

or anything in your food that doesn't blossom.

Trey Gerrald:

That's disgusting.

Trey Gerrald:

I think that I personally don't write things off necessarily because I'm

Trey Gerrald:

Like I have to forget about this, but then the fact that it seems like such a repeat experience.

Trey Gerrald:

I do like truthful shady scale here.

Trey Gerrald:

I kind of am believing Real D cause they're so upset about it.

Trey Gerrald:

And at a certain point it's just incredulous that this keeps happening.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

It's just like weird that it's the same kind of like, is there just like one person working in the

Trey Gerrald:

With no hair net.

Chelsey Donn:

over?

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

With no hairnet over.

Chelsey Donn:

A lot.

Chelsey Donn:

It's like a long period of time.

Chelsey Donn:

I love that they enforced a six month

Trey Gerrald:

just gonna that.

Trey Gerrald:

It's very funny to me when you're speaking about your own personal choices, you say in forced a

Chelsey Donn:

yeah, yes.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Like they stopped and then they went back and then they enforced the other

Trey Gerrald:

But to that point, if, Real D was creating a band for themselves

Trey Gerrald:

now, and then there's hair in it, like, of course you would be saying GD.

Trey Gerrald:

And of course you'd be like, w T M F like, are you kidding me?

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

I mean, what's interesting to me is that.

Chelsey Donn:

Real D clearly loves the food at this restaurant so much

Trey Gerrald:

point

Chelsey Donn:

that they ordered the, this like dish.

Trey Gerrald:

and they're having this high of an emotional reaction.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah,

Chelsey Donn:

they love, they clearly love the food at this restaurant and

Chelsey Donn:

We got to get hairnets back there.

Chelsey Donn:

It looks like from the pictures, like it looks like a really nice

Chelsey Donn:

You know, still relatively high.

Chelsey Donn:

So this could just be like bad luck, I guess, for Real D

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah, I don't know, but there is an impact for me.

Chelsey Donn:

there's definitely an impact and it definitely feels like this Review!

Chelsey Donn:

is coming from someone who is passionate

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

about the restaurant.

Trey Gerrald:

I mean, I think I could crown rail.

Trey Gerrald:

D how are you feeling?

Chelsey Donn:

I just like, wonder to myself, if I read this Review!.

Chelsey Donn:

And I was considering going to this restaurant, would it gross me out enough to not go?

Chelsey Donn:

I guess that's what I'm, I'm thinking about.

Chelsey Donn:

Like, I don't know.

Chelsey Donn:

What do you think?

Trey Gerrald:

I think it's going to come up in my crowning cause I,

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

happened weighing that.

Chelsey Donn:

All right.

Chelsey Donn:

Let's get to the goddamn crowning challis.

Trey Gerrald:

All right, here we go.

VOICEOVER:

The Queens are Tabulating.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

Interesting.

Chelsey Donn:

I was, I was kind of torn.

Chelsey Donn:

Trey is holding up four crowns.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm holding up three and a half crowns.

Chelsey Donn:

Try, let me know why you're giving the Real D or Real D four crowns.

Trey Gerrald:

I almost did three and a half, but I have a hard time with math and I can't

Trey Gerrald:

And so then I just went with four because ultimately I think if I was reading the survey.

Trey Gerrald:

I don't like the vulgarity, even though it is funny, like, and it's

Trey Gerrald:

Like, I just think it is unnecessary.

Trey Gerrald:

I think you can show you're so passionate with, you know, at signs and like pound cetera.

Trey Gerrald:

Like, it just feels a little, like you're a little out of touch.

Trey Gerrald:

Like what's wrong with you that you're this angry, but to the point you just made like,

Trey Gerrald:

It is that good that they are enforcing a ban because they're so

Trey Gerrald:

And then they let up on the band.

Trey Gerrald:

Cause it's so good.

Trey Gerrald:

And then there's hair again.

Trey Gerrald:

So to me, I feel like this is maybe a common experience.

Trey Gerrald:

At least it has been for real.

Trey Gerrald:

I think they are a little bit trustworthy.

Trey Gerrald:

Cause they're so impassioned, you know, it's just that all they're being critical about is like,

Trey Gerrald:

That's the only criticism here.

Trey Gerrald:

And so for that reason, say four, because it would have impact that I

Trey Gerrald:

What about you?

Trey Gerrald:

Why did you do three and a half?

Chelsey Donn:

I did three and a half.

Chelsey Donn:

I mean, I agree with everything that you said.

Chelsey Donn:

I took off the one and a half pound for a couple of reasons.

Chelsey Donn:

One, the spelling and grammar.

Chelsey Donn:

Of course, there were a few errors, so we didn't.

Chelsey Donn:

A perfect score there.

Chelsey Donn:

I love, I mean, I did laugh at it.

Chelsey Donn:

I think if I read this Review!

Chelsey Donn:

to friends, like we would get a chuckle out of it.

Chelsey Donn:

So that's where, you know, some of the extra points came from.

Chelsey Donn:

But my biggest takeaway that I'm wondering, because it wasn't brought up in this review

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

Like why, if I had a hair in my food, like one time, two times, like whatever it is, I feel like

Chelsey Donn:

I would have a conversation.

Chelsey Donn:

And because nowhere in the Review!

Chelsey Donn:

does Real DSA, I spoke to them about it and they didn't do anything.

Chelsey Donn:

Or I spoke to them about it and they didn't even give me a refund or whatever it is.

Chelsey Donn:

Like they didn't address that they did their due date.

Chelsey Donn:

You know, to let the restaurant know that there was hair in their food and for

Chelsey Donn:

So for that reason, three and a half grounds.

Trey Gerrald:

think that's fair for sure.

Trey Gerrald:

I hope that they get hair nuts over there,

Chelsey Donn:

me G is long white, silver,

Trey Gerrald:

regardless.

Trey Gerrald:

It doesn't It's too much.

Chelsey Donn:

hair.

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

My queen.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, we have the most Regal portion of our show.

Trey Gerrald:

Chelsey, please tell us, who are you going to induct this week for?

VOICEOVER:

My Royal Highness

Chelsey Donn:

you for asking Trey.

Chelsey Donn:

So this week I was thinking, you know what?

Chelsey Donn:

Don't we appreciate enough in our, I want to say the like Rocko's modern life.

Chelsey Donn:

The Amazon.

Trey Gerrald:

modern life.

Chelsey Donn:

In our modern life.

Chelsey Donn:

And I was thinking seatbelts, you know, like we had to induct seatbelts,

Chelsey Donn:

Like,

Trey Gerrald:

We died.

Chelsey Donn:

movies, we died, you know, when you watch movies and you like, see

Chelsey Donn:

And so that got me thinking a little bit, you know, I'm not quite as much of a research queen as

Chelsey Donn:

Come from how did this happen?

Chelsey Donn:

And apparently in 1959, the seatbelt did hit the market through Volvo.

Chelsey Donn:

interestingly enough, so I think Volvo was the first car company to implement seatbelt.

Chelsey Donn:

And from the year 1975 to 2017, 374,276 lives have been saved.

Chelsey Donn:

Because of seatbelts, which is, you know, pretty incredible.

Chelsey Donn:

Uh, and I just wanted to give a quick nod to seatbelts.

Chelsey Donn:

Thank you for saving lives.

Chelsey Donn:

Thank you for keeping us safe.

Chelsey Donn:

And so seat belts, your, My Royal Highness this week.

Trey Gerrald:

really good.

Trey Gerrald:

One Chelsey.

Trey Gerrald:

Wow.

Chelsey Donn:

Thank you.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

Something we don't think.

Trey Gerrald:

Have you ever been in a car wreck?

Chelsey Donn:

Oh my God.

Chelsey Donn:

We'll talk about this in Patreon.

Chelsey Donn:

I've never thank God.

Chelsey Donn:

Knock on all the wood.

Chelsey Donn:

I've never personally been in a car accident, but I've been in the car during an accident.

Chelsey Donn:

And that's all I'll say about that for now.

Chelsey Donn:

We can talk about the rest of the Patriot.

Trey Gerrald:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

How about you?

Trey Gerrald:

Ken Hora.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, I think this'll be a fun topic for a pitcher on, but, um,

Chelsey Donn:

right.

Trey Gerrald:

I have an interesting one.

Trey Gerrald:

I once was, um, T-boned by a, um, industrial sized, uh, lawn mower

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, stop it.

Chelsey Donn:

Are you kidding?

Trey Gerrald:

It's a crazy story.

Chelsey Donn:

in South Carolina?

Trey Gerrald:

It was actually in the outer banks and it was actually an infrastructure problem.

Trey Gerrald:

They had the crosswalk before the stop sign and the, and it was like a highway.

Trey Gerrald:

It wasn't.

Chelsey Donn:

have a crosswalk before a stop sign?

Chelsey Donn:

Anyway.

Trey Gerrald:

they I'm sure they don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

And also the lawnmower person was driving on the crosswalk, which is illegal.

Trey Gerrald:

I didn't know.

Trey Gerrald:

Uh, and they had the cutter up, like it was up like a letter P and it literally went into the

Chelsey Donn:

it was inside of your car.

Trey Gerrald:

stabbed through it.

Trey Gerrald:

Um, and there was an impact, like it was a whole

Chelsey Donn:

That is so like, thank God it was on that side, you know, because, oh

Trey Gerrald:

it would have stopped me.

Chelsey Donn:

yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh my so scary.

Trey Gerrald:

what is that word?

Trey Gerrald:

I guess that's like a John Deere is like a brand, but you know, it's like th they were

Chelsey Donn:

serious.

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Trey Gerrald:

I'll tell you more about that on the after show.

Trey Gerrald:

Speaking of here we are.

Trey Gerrald:

Good, great induction.

Trey Gerrald:

Thank you.

Trey Gerrald:

seatbelts.

Trey Gerrald:

And Thank you.

Trey Gerrald:
