Throughout history, society always “default to male”. Everything seen (heard, prepared) is for the male gaze or perspective. From the beginning, men were the hunters, but what were the women doing? We did everything else - tending to the family, the community, the home, work that is still considered less than. Men wear “blinders” because they can, they created a world that only focused on their dominance and control.
