Speaker:

Hey, hey, this is Shaun with the GoTennis Podcast powered by Signature Tennis.

Speaker:

Today's tennis tip comes from Coach Nathan Singleton.

Speaker:

Have a listen and let us know what you think.

Speaker:

Welcome back everyone.

Speaker:

This is Nathan from First Serve University, your tactical specialist giving you tactical

Speaker:

advice on how to win more matches.

Speaker:

Today, let's talk about what to do when you lob the opponent's net player.

Speaker:

When you lob an opponent's net player, most often the best move for you to do is to come

Speaker:

in to the net about two feet behind the service line and have your partner come back to the

Speaker:

same place two feet behind their service line and be prepared to hit overheads to end the

Speaker:

point or voles if they decide to hit ground strokes to you.

Speaker:

What this does is it eliminates the opponent's opportunity to be able to lob your partner

Speaker:

and cause you to have to run down a lob on your side.

Speaker:

By coming two feet behind the service line, you can defend against most good lob and

Speaker:

if they do beat you, that ball will have to hit the baseline to be in.

Speaker:

In your next match, make sure that when you hit the lob over the opponent's net player,

Speaker:

you and your partner come two feet behind the service line and rain down overheads until

Speaker:

you hit a winner or the person on the other side can't return it.

Speaker:

This is Nathan from First serve University giving you tactical advice on how to win more matches.
