Ian:Hello, and welcome to a bonus episode of the confident live marketing podcast.
Ian:Now, it's a bonus one, because this week, I'm actually speaking at an event
Ian:in Birmingham in the UK, it is TubeFest.
Ian:I'm very excited about this.
Ian:And it's all about my talk, at least is about integrating AI and
Ian:video for authentic communication.
Ian:And that is the question.
Ian:That's my question to you.
Ian:Can AI actually help us to be more authentic in a world where
Ian:AI is replacing authenticity?
Ian:You could argue, for example, You can have AI voices.
Ian:I could have an AI voice instead of this.
Ian:This is actually me speaking, I promise you, but I could
Ian:actually do a podcast where it is.
Ian:It sounds like me, but it's actually AI.
Ian:And I can change things like how I look at the camera.
Ian:I can change the words.
Ian:I could even put an avatar of me and my question at the beginning of my
Ian:talk, I'm not going to give away any of my talk now, because that wouldn't be
Ian:fair, because this is going out a day before my presentation, but I'm very
Ian:excited about it because I'm painting a bit of a negative picture at the
Ian:beginning, because I think there were two camps of people when it comes to this.
Ian:There were people who think AI is the most amazing thing ever, and it's
Ian:going to allow us to do so many amazing things, and then the opposite camp is.
Ian:It's taking away our jobs and our humanity and we're all gonna die basically Now, of
Ian:course, there are plenty of other views in the middle and i'm kind of i'm i'm towards
Ian:the more excited side of things But I do think we have to be careful and we have
Ian:to I think there is a middle ground that we need to A middle path that we need to
Ian:tread because Yes, there are all these amazing things that we can do, but just
Ian:because you can, doesn't mean you should.
Ian:For example, just because I can create an automated podcast with just
Ian:me speaking, is that a good idea?
Ian:Now, I think it, I'm okay with a lot of these things, as long
Ian:as you're upfront about it.
Ian:If, as long as you say, this is not me, this is an AI voice.
Ian:I think that's okay.
Ian:I think people are cool with it.
Ian:Are you cool with it?
Ian:I don't know.
Ian:Um, but I, I do think when it comes to these things, I do think we need
Ian:to think about, we need to have ethical considerations, but I do
Ian:think that using AI in our content or AI generally in our businesses
Ian:can help us to become more human.
Ian:It can help us focus on the things that we're good at and the AI can do the
Ian:things that Get in the way basically.
Ian:So actually, I think it can help us to become more creative and get away,
Ian:get us away from that blank page.
Ian:For example, I've always struggled to create my newsletter content, my
Ian:blog content, my podcast content.
Ian:Well, I've now developed Uh, prompts with ai, with chat, GPT
Ian:and other, um, LLMs to help me get away from that blank page syndrome.
Ian:So I've got a structure, I've, I give, um, AI my structure of what I want.
Ian:I give information about the episode, about my guest, and it comes up with
Ian:basically the text for my newsletter and for my blog post and all that kinda stuff.
Ian:Now, would it be a good idea for me to then just to use that
Ian:and go with it and pump it out?
Ian:For me personally, no, I think that is a good place to start
Ian:and I can then tweak it and I can change it and I can make up my own.
Ian:I think that is a really good way of using AI, but I'd love to hear from you.
Ian:What do you think?
Ian:And what I am actually thinking of doing in this podcast is to do a season, a
Ian:series on on AI and how we can use it in our marketing, in our content creation.
Ian:I'm doing so much stuff and I've realized that I'm not really sharing it.
Ian:I'm not really talking about it.
Ian:And it's probably because I'm going down all these rabbit holes.
Ian:I've created all these tools that are helping me, uh, with my content creation.
Ian:I'm also helped, uh, created tools that are helping me with my emails,
Ian:uh, and communication sides of things.
Ian:And I'm very excited about it, but I think we also need to.
Ian:Think about the ethics and the morality and all that kind of stuff.
Ian:It's a very messy time.
Ian:Um, so yeah, that's really all I wanted to share with you today.
Ian:Um, in my talk, I'm also going to be sharing my process of
Ian:how I create all my content.
Ian:It has changed since a few years ago when I started off with live
Ian:and, and then changed it, uh, into I'll repurpose that I should say
Ian:into all this other type of content.
Ian:Um, now I'm starting off with pre recorded, but I'm
Ian:recording it as if it were live.
Ian:I'm using, utilizing a lot of AI in what I do, but I still, I think actually this
Ian:is allowing me to be more authentic, to be more me and to actually reach more
Ian:people, to actually create content.
Ian:That is valuable to my audience.
Ian:So what do you think?
Ian:Are you using AI in your content?
Ian:I'd love to know, are you afraid of it?
Ian:Are you skeptical?
Ian:Do you hate it?
Ian:It's interesting.
Ian:I think there's a lot of emotional responses, quite a wide ranging
Ian:emotional response that we can have to the whole AI side of things.
Ian:But anyway, that's enough from me.
Ian:I will stop gibbering on.
Ian:I've got a very creaky chair, haven't I?
Ian:I need to, I could get AI to get rid of that creak.
Ian:Or I could change my chair or maybe it doesn't matter.
Ian:What do you think?
Ian:Anyway, until next time, I encourage you to level up your impact
Ian:authority on profits through the power of confident live video.
