Free fecal water syndrome (FFWS) in horses often requires ongoing management, including forage adjustments, nutritional changes, and monitoring to maintain gut health. Although some management changes can help reduce the clinical signs in these horses, researchers are still working to understand the condition. Kristi Gran, DVM, Dipl.
