- Roster news - Brett Kulak, Mathieu Perreault and Chris Wideman returned to the lineup after recovering from injuries. Joel Edmundson met with doctors and will be evaluated further in coming days. Mike Hoffman has returned to practice with the team. Carey Price skated on his own without equipment this week. Brendan Gallagher and Sami Niku tested positive for COVID-19 and are quarantining for 10 days (missing five games). Josh Anderson suffered an upper-body injury and will be out for two to four weeks. Jeff Petry did not travel to Nashville due to an upper-body injury. Alexander Romanov broke his nose in Thursday's game against the Avalanche. Canadiens have recalled Laurent Dauphin and Corey Schueneman (0 GP-NHL) from the Laval Rocket.

- Molson cleans house - Geoff Molson fired EVP & GM Marc Bergevin, Assistant GM Trevor Timmins and Senior VP Communications & Public Affairs, Paul Wilson. Assistant GM Scott Mellanby resigned after Molson reneged on a promised promotion.
- Hockey news and notes - A Canadiens fan registered his frustration with the Canadiens by tossing a jersey and a hat on the ice during the game against the Avalanche. It sent shockwaves through the players and fanbase.
