Can You Worship the God of Truth with Lies?

Now, this will end up being a series of messages—how many, I don’t know—but I want to cover many problematic Scriptures in the New Testament.

Now then, let me give you an example of how there are always faithful men who will stick to the Truth. In this case, what I’m going to show you, I never knew this man until some years ago, probably five or seven years ago. His name is Joseph Albert Ackermann, and he has worked on a comparison of New Testament translations. He has taken 26 New Testament translations and gone over them verse by verse by verse. That’s been virtually his study for many, many, many years.

Then he presented it to us, and it was originally keyed to the King James because the King James did follow the Received Text. But as we know, there are many very bad translations of the King James, even though they followed the Received Text.

He is producing the New Testament Scriptural Comparison. We’re working on finalizing this, which will be his second or third rendition. He has it all charted out so that you can see that, even though it’s unclear, he has each of the 26 translations listed.
