Ash Johns:

Ash Johns:

If it's good for you, it might be good for others.

Ash Johns:

It's good for me.

Ash Johns:

That's why I'm sharing it with you, right?

Ash Johns:

So peace and blessings today honoring you, your people.

Ash Johns:

What's brought you back to the episode or to the podcast.

Ash Johns:

And if this is your first time here, thank you so much for

Ash Johns:

finding it still happening.

Ash Johns:

We are in a.

Ash Johns:

Revival in a resurgence, in a remembering . That is delightful.

Ash Johns:

So welcome to this episode, and this episode is yummy because it's something

Ash Johns:

that I come back to over and over and over again that has essentially defined

Ash Johns:

my life and my business and define my medicine and offerings to the world.

Ash Johns:

And that is learning how to really walk your path in life.

Ash Johns:

, learning how to navigate the bumpy roads, the dark corners, and when

Ash Johns:

we feel like we lost our way.

Ash Johns:

And oftentimes that's why you look for a guide, a coach, a mentor, a

Ash Johns:

program, a teacher, a pastor, an elder, you know someone who can support you

Ash Johns:

as you navigate those foggy moments of the soul or the dark knight of

Ash Johns:

the soul, as some people would say.

Ash Johns:

And let me just say right now, even if your life is

Ash Johns:

incredibly amazing, we all have.

Ash Johns:

A feeling like we're at a growth edge or that we've lost our way, or that things

Ash Johns:

don't, look and feel the way that we want.

Ash Johns:

And I just wanna say that one that is okay.

Ash Johns:

Like no one's doing anything wrong.

Ash Johns:

No one's failing.

Ash Johns:

No one's like not healing when we have struggles in life.

Ash Johns:

But it is an indication that there's an opportunity for healing

Ash Johns:

and growth, at a deeper level.

Ash Johns:

And it's also.

Ash Johns:

To me, an opportunity to not settle because what I see.

Ash Johns:

All of the social media, all of the, you know, particularly therapy

Ash Johns:

worlds is like, oh, that's life.

Ash Johns:

Like, life is lifeing and this is normal.

Ash Johns:

And my philosophy is it's only normal because we've gotten used to dise.

Ash Johns:

It's only normal because I've decided to settle.

Ash Johns:

It's only normal because so many people have confronted it and

Ash Johns:

we've accepted it to be normal.

Ash Johns:

And if you're ever in my energy field, um, and in my work, you

Ash Johns:

will know that there's both.

Ash Johns:

This is normal because this is what has been happening to humanity.

Ash Johns:

But it does not have to be the normal.

Ash Johns:

It does not have to be the reality.

Ash Johns:

It does not have to be your reality.

Ash Johns:

And so you will ultimately always feel this combination of soothing,

Ash Johns:

healing waters of me validating where you are and understanding what's

Ash Johns:

happening in the collective conscious and also in your personal life

Ash Johns:

because it's also has happened in my personal life and with my clients.

Ash Johns:

But you're also gonna feel the fire of like, we can change.

Ash Johns:

. This does not have to be your standard.

Ash Johns:

This does not have to be your reality.

Ash Johns:

This does not have to be your story, your narrative, and your life and your

Ash Johns:

lineage, or a part of your legacy, right?

Ash Johns:

So I just wanna be clear that like anytime we come into community or you're

Ash Johns:

listening to me, you're gonna get a combination of the two, and you're

Ash Johns:

gonna feel that throughout this episode.

Ash Johns:

So what to do when life doesn't look or feel how you want it to.

Ash Johns:

when this topic came through, I was journaling and I was talking with

Ash Johns:

my ancestors and my higher self and my support team and just in my vibe

Ash Johns:

in the morning, like if you guys don't know this, early mornings is

Ash Johns:

my most favorite time of the day.

Ash Johns:

I love, I love it.

Ash Johns:

It's quiet.

Ash Johns:

It's um, , you know, it's like sacred time.

Ash Johns:

Like it's not noisy, it's the sun isn't high.

Ash Johns:

Like you just get to really tune into your heart and your soul and your spirits.

Ash Johns:

And so it's my favorite time of the day.

Ash Johns:

And so every single morning I have some very specific good

Ash Johns:

morning rituals that I do.

Ash Johns:

So I was doing that and I was like, oh, I had already outlined a different

Ash Johns:

topic, but this came through so strongly that I was like, okay, we're gonna,

Ash Johns:

we're gonna follow this and go there.

Ash Johns:

So here we are.

Ash Johns:

. There are a couple moments in my own life cuz I always teach by living where

Ash Johns:

this topic really came through and I wanna share some of those with you.

Ash Johns:

The first one that comes to mind is when I was deciding to leave my

Ash Johns:

advertising career because my life didn't look and feel how I wanted it to.

Ash Johns:

I felt so much pressure to perform to prove that I was smart enough to stay.

Ash Johns:

To do mundane work that I didn't love.

Ash Johns:

And don't get me wrong, there are always in aspects of like mundane work or

Ash Johns:

tedious tactics that we have to do, in order to make a business run or a job go.

Ash Johns:

Like me even writing notes for this podcast, like I'm

Ash Johns:

not really a notes person.

Ash Johns:

I like to kind of flow, but I also know that I need them to keep us

Ash Johns:

rooted in the message of today.

Ash Johns:

So I don't particularly enjoy writing notes, but I know they serve us.

Ash Johns:

, but like then it was like, these are not, this isn't just

Ash Johns:

a mundane task I don't wanna do.

Ash Johns:

This is actually an opposition of my soul, right?

Ash Johns:

And so what I was doing in advertising was, Brilliant work and it looked

Ash Johns:

beautiful and it had a great salary, and I met incredible people

Ash Johns:

with whom I still love and care for and I'm connected with today.

Ash Johns:

But ultimately, my soul was unhappy.

Ash Johns:

The energy around me, I was craving adventure.

Ash Johns:

I was craving the idea of bringing all of myself to work, that I could

Ash Johns:

be both strategic and spiritual, like connected to my heart and structured

Ash Johns:

like, how can I have it all instead of.

Ash Johns:

I'd go to work and I have to perform and be the snazzy cool

Ash Johns:

hipster girl, at the time.

Ash Johns:

That was my identity.

Ash Johns:

Smart research brand strategist, hipster girl.

Ash Johns:

And then be spiritual at night.

Ash Johns:

Like I wanted to integrate all of me and ultimately I decided to leave

Ash Johns:

advertising and go to Bali on a whim.

Ash Johns:

Just got like a work visa on like in the process, like actually got

Ash Johns:

there and was working illegally for a little while, like a lot of people do.

Ash Johns:

Um, and it all happened to work out, but.

Ash Johns:

It took a lot.

Ash Johns:

Like my family was like, what are you doing?

Ash Johns:

You've got the best job, the best career, the best salary of anybody in our family.

Ash Johns:

Like, you're such a high achiever.

Ash Johns:

You're so amazing.

Ash Johns:

On the outside it looks great, even though you're unhappy.

Ash Johns:

Like, don't you wanna just go to a different agency?

Ash Johns:

Don't you wanna just have another job?

Ash Johns:

Maybe it's just that one boss or that one person.

Ash Johns:

And I was like, no, it's deeper than that.

Ash Johns:

I've already changed agencies, I changed accounts.

Ash Johns:

I've gone to another place.

Ash Johns:

I'm from New York and then in Chicago and then in la.

Ash Johns:

Like it's not that.

Ash Johns:

Deeper, and I just wanna validate that if you are feeling unhappiness or dis-ease

Ash Johns:

or lack of inspiration or joy in your day-to-day job, like that is a sign.

Ash Johns:

We know this already, like I'm so sure we know this, but because we start to

Ash Johns:

say, oh, that's life we keep ignoring and we wait, and we wait, and we wait.

Ash Johns:

And we saw that right when the pandemic happened, so many people

Ash Johns:

were saying, oh, I was gonna leave my.

Ash Johns:

, but then they didn't, right?

Ash Johns:

And then they got laid off and they're like, Ugh.

Ash Johns:

Now I'm like super miserable because I was already miserable.

Ash Johns:

But now my, the rug was pulled out from underneath me.

Ash Johns:

So like, I just wanna give that example of I felt that my life was

Ash Johns:

not the way that I wanted it to look or to feel, even though it looked

Ash Johns:

amazing, I wanted something else.

Ash Johns:

Wanting something else is enough of an indication that you're

Ash Johns:

ready to walk deeper into your path in life in a different.

Ash Johns:

Another one moment where I was like, oh my God, this is not

Ash Johns:

what my life is supposed to be.

Ash Johns:

Is actually very recent.

Ash Johns:

so those of you who have been clients in the last year, year and a half, two years,

Ash Johns:

like this is not about you personally.

Ash Johns:

. Okay.

Ash Johns:

But it's true.

Ash Johns:

There was a moment where I came in and I was like, I am overworking in my business.

Ash Johns:

I am managing my team, I am managing my clients.

Ash Johns:

I'm overseeing the contractors and the agencies like ensure someone will.

Ash Johns:

Oh, Ash, you needed more systems.

Ash Johns:

Oh, Ash, you needed to delegate.

Ash Johns:

Oh, Ash.

Ash Johns:

Like I did that.

Ash Johns:

I hired the amazing, you know, c e o stop grinding coach, who

Ash Johns:

was dope and super helpful.

Ash Johns:

But at the end of the day, it wasn't about strategy and structure, it was the

Ash Johns:

fact that I wanted ease in creativity and again, adventure, and to be a

Ash Johns:

writer and a speaker and a public figure again, as opposed to a coach and a

Ash Johns:

guide working one-to-one and holding a.

Ash Johns:

Space for people, even though I was great at it and we loved

Ash Johns:

it and we had amazing results.

Ash Johns:

And shout out to all of my clients and everyone who's ever, you know, worked

Ash Johns:

with me in the last, or connected with me in the last two years.

Ash Johns:

It still was time for a change in my path.

Ash Johns:

I knew that I needed to feel different.

Ash Johns:

I knew that I had things inside of me that needed to be birthed

Ash Johns:

into the world, even though I didn't know how I was gonna do it.

Ash Johns:

And I felt a huge amount of responsibility for the salaries and

Ash Johns:

the people who were counting on.

Ash Johns:

Who committed to me in my business, who believed in me in my business,

Ash Johns:

you know, but I could feel this is not what I actually want anymore.

Ash Johns:

And I, I applaud myself because I did look at all the things.

Ash Johns:

We restructured the team, we restructured the offerings.

Ash Johns:

We had an incredible mastermind last year.

Ash Johns:

Shout out to those ladies.

Ash Johns:

Um, I did hire the amazing coach who helped me look at things

Ash Johns:

differently and look at, do I even wanna be a CEO in this way?

Ash Johns:

Like I thought I did, and actually I don't, you.

Ash Johns:

, um, for those of you who might be thinking about how your life doesn't look and

Ash Johns:

feel, how you want it to, as a relates relationship to partnership to the man

Ash Johns:

or the woman or the human that you are in romantic, intimate relations with.

Ash Johns:

I've been there as well.

Ash Johns:

Like I know what it's like where I was like, you know what?

Ash Johns:

I actually wanna partner.

Ash Johns:

Who's going to take a lead in their life?

Ash Johns:

Like I take lead in my own life who's going to quote, unquote match me,

Ash Johns:

which isn't exactly how it is, but I'll talk about relationships in men.

Ash Johns:

Another episode, . who takes action like doesn't.

Ash Johns:

Meander over ideas over and over again.

Ash Johns:

Like they are so rooted.

Ash Johns:

He is so rooted in his soul and he knows what he wants, that he's like, listen,

Ash Johns:

this is how I'm gonna do it, whether it's the right way or the wrong way.

Ash Johns:

It's my decision.

Ash Johns:

Like I want it to be around a man who had that kind of energy and

Ash Johns:

who created for himself, and then shared that that creativity with me,

Ash Johns:

because I'm a very creative woman.

Ash Johns:

I'm a very creative.

Ash Johns:

spirit and leader.

Ash Johns:

And so I was like, oh yeah, like the person that I've been committed to

Ash Johns:

after leaving Bali, coming back to the States and starting to build my

Ash Johns:

business, isn't any of that, you know?

Ash Johns:

And he did have a lot of other things on my list that I wanted at at the time.

Ash Johns:

But as I became more of the woman that I've always been called to

Ash Johns:

be, he actually did not match that.

Ash Johns:

And there's nothing wrong with that.

Ash Johns:

It was just the truth.

Ash Johns:

So instead of me being.

Ash Johns:

, well, you know, this is live and this happens and stuff.

Ash Johns:

I was like, no, no, no.

Ash Johns:

I need to look at the flags on the field and choose differently

Ash Johns:

and trust myself in that choice.

Ash Johns:

So in just a few moments, I'm gonna take you through, um, six things.

Ash Johns:

Really it's five, but I'm gonna give you a bonus.

Ash Johns:

Six cuz generosity, , um, that I go through with myself and with clients.

Ash Johns:

Every time they feel that they're kind of, we feel that we're lost in our path in.

Ash Johns:

Okay, so just hang on two seconds.

Ash Johns:

Another time was when I looked at my bank account.

Ash Johns:

Oh my God.

Ash Johns:

This is like around the time we're restructuring the business

Ash Johns:

and looking at the business bank account, and I'm like, guys, like

Ash Johns:

we brought in $37,000 in revenue.

Ash Johns:

Where did it go?

Ash Johns:

Like, This should not look the way that it looks like.

Ash Johns:

We are very abundant.

Ash Johns:

There are people bringing good energy into the business and we're

Ash Johns:

giving good energy in this business.

Ash Johns:

And it's having such an impact on people.

Ash Johns:

Like why does the business bank account look like this?

Ash Johns:

Like where is the money going?

Ash Johns:

And again, sure, I'm all for money mindset and um, Profit first and all these

Ash Johns:

different strategies so that you are being profitable and smart with your money.

Ash Johns:

And there was something deeper because this was still happening where we're

Ash Johns:

bringing in money, we're bringing in the sales, but at the end of the

Ash Johns:

day, there wasn't nearly as much profit at the end of the month.

Ash Johns:

So I just wanted to cover like money, relationships, how you're.

Ash Johns:

or your day job, like these main areas that we women tend to be

Ash Johns:

looking to evolve in our life.

Ash Johns:

And if you've been following the evolution of my work, you know that

Ash Johns:

I believe that ancestral healing work is truly woman healing work.

Ash Johns:

because women, we are the creators of everything.

Ash Johns:

We are the womb, we are the seed, we are the energy, we are the inspiration.

Ash Johns:

We are the nurturers.

Ash Johns:

Without our energy, nothing really comes into form and it

Ash Johns:

doesn't come into fruition.

Ash Johns:

It doesn't come into life.

Ash Johns:

It doesn't come into existing and breathing and.

Ash Johns:

Knowing itself and validating itself and having value, like we are so valuable.

Ash Johns:

And so the more that I worked with women and more that I worked with my

Ash Johns:

own ancestors and theirs and guided them to do ancestral healing with their

Ash Johns:

ancestors, with themselves, and embody.

Ash Johns:

The calling that is on their life and the position that they're

Ash Johns:

holding in their lineage and the legacy that they're here to leave

Ash Johns:

by the way that we live our lives.

Ash Johns:

The, I just was like, this is women's work.

Ash Johns:

This is women's work.

Ash Johns:

And as we women take our rightful places within our lineage and trust the calling

Ash Johns:

on our lives and the role that we play and the power, the creational power we carry,

Ash Johns:

everything else will start to work out.

Ash Johns:

We will attract the things that we want.

Ash Johns:

We will trust the decisions that we make.

Ash Johns:

We will go for the things.

Ash Johns:

Desire, and that's an alignment to us.

Ash Johns:

So I really wanna go ahead and get into exactly what, these

Ash Johns:

steps, we'll call it steps.

Ash Johns:

I don't really feel like they are steps, but they are things that I've

Ash Johns:

noticed over and over and over again.

Ash Johns:

I do and I have guided my clients to do when they want to change

Ash Johns:

how their life looks and feels.

Ash Johns:

All right, so if you don't have your notebook out, you don't have a pen and

Ash Johns:

paper, go ahead and like Mark when I start talking about this so you can

Ash Johns:

come back to it cause it's good stuff.

Ash Johns:

Okay.

Ash Johns:

So the first thing that I guide you to do, , and I also do myself,

Ash Johns:

is to remember who you are.

Ash Johns:

Remember who the fuck you are.

Ash Johns:

Real talk, because I know for a fact I am called to have impact,

Ash Johns:

to create change, to be a leader, to be an inspirational muse, to be

Ash Johns:

a creational force in the world.

Ash Johns:

I always have.

Ash Johns:

And if.

Ash Johns:

do not know or hold onto the identity of who you truly are.

Ash Johns:

That's where you need to start.

Ash Johns:

because somewhere along the way, you forgot who you are.

Ash Johns:

Abandon who you are, allow someone else tell you who you are and therefore we've

Ash Johns:

taken or you've made decisions that do not align with your greatest calling,

Ash Johns:

highest good and true deep desires, right?

Ash Johns:

And there's nothing wrong with that.

Ash Johns:

This is not a shaming moment.

Ash Johns:

This is what happens when we don't do healing.

Ash Johns:

This is what happens when we don't have the support and we have to settle, or

Ash Johns:

we have to make concessions, or we have to compromise, like a means to an end.

Ash Johns:

There we go.

Ash Johns:

Like we're trying to do something in order to get somewhere else instead

Ash Johns:

of going for what we really want.

Ash Johns:

Like all those things create fragmentation and rupture in our identity.

Ash Johns:

So I need you to go back and remember who you are and what you truly want, which is

Ash Johns:

number two, connect with what you desire.

Ash Johns:

Number one, remember who you.

Ash Johns:

Number two, connect with what you truly desire.

Ash Johns:

And usually when I move you to this hole, what do you really desire?

Ash Johns:

What do you really want?

Ash Johns:

We easily go into what we don't want.

Ash Johns:

It's, I, I get it.

Ash Johns:

I, I think that for a long time we have inherited ways of survival that

Ash Johns:

allows us to identify what we don't want and what, where we are in opposition

Ash Johns:

to and what we're resistant of.

Ash Johns:

I'm sure there's some neuroscience.

Ash Johns:

, you know, behavioral studies on how we are wired to see the negative and

Ash Johns:

the difference for safety, which is true, but we can also rewire our brain

Ash Johns:

and our energy and our creativity essentially rewire our brain to

Ash Johns:

lean towards the creativity and the heart energy of what we do want.

Ash Johns:

and that's, that's a skill that is a behavioral thing, right?

Ash Johns:

To learn how to remember what you actually want and to attune to

Ash Johns:

it over and over and over again.

Ash Johns:

and the best way to do that is to write down, if you're struggling to define

Ash Johns:

and say what you want without going into negativity, without going into

Ash Johns:

fear, without going into opposition and saying how you can't have it, write

Ash Johns:

down the things that you don't want in your life that doesn't look and.

Ash Johns:

How you want it to in your life and just draw a line and write

Ash Johns:

the exact opposite of it, . Right?

Ash Johns:

And when you first do this exercise, and this is great,

Ash Johns:

I'm giving it to you for free.

Ash Johns:

This isn't even inside of access.

Ash Johns:

I'll put it inside of access again, but I'm literally giving it to you for free.

Ash Johns:

When you do that exercise of writing the exact opposite, at first you're gonna

Ash Johns:

be like, oh my God, that's so crazy.

Ash Johns:

Like, I can't do that.

Ash Johns:

That's so hard.

Ash Johns:

That's so far, that's too much on my edge.

Ash Johns:

But you need that to shake shit up for a moment that might not be the actual

Ash Johns:

thing you want or the exact expression of how it's gonna manifest in your

Ash Johns:

life, or how you're gonna create it in your life or attract it into your life.

Ash Johns:

But it.

Ash Johns:

different, and it's out of the comfort and the programming and

Ash Johns:

the inherited trauma, right.

Ash Johns:

Of how you have been operating.

Ash Johns:

So it's important to break the seal, if you will.

Ash Johns:

If we were like in theater, it's like break the fourth wall, right?

Ash Johns:

So do that as an exercise.

Ash Johns:

I'll put it inside of access, but you got it here for free, y'all.

Ash Johns:

You're welcome.

Ash Johns:

. But we often forget what we desire and need to reconnect

Ash Johns:

with our, with our desire because we're disconnected from our.

Ash Johns:

We can't even feel our heart.

Ash Johns:

We're always in our head, and even if you feel your body, your body is

Ash Johns:

going to, most often, unless you're really doing a lot of body work,

Ash Johns:

it's going to still respond off of your traumas and your triggers and

Ash Johns:

your fears as opposed to your heart.

Ash Johns:

You have to connect with your heart in order to trust your body.

Ash Johns:

Really to know your body is not giving you trauma signals that actually are

Ash Johns:

keeping you in a cycle of protection and safety, instead of breaking

Ash Johns:

free and re templatizing your energy and your system and your nervous

Ash Johns:

system to what you actually want.

Ash Johns:

And that's free game on the next level, right?

Ash Johns:

Like if you're doing all these trauma coaching and stuff, they're

Ash Johns:

not teaching it that way, but that's the truth of the matter.

Ash Johns:

You gotta reconnect with your heart.

Ash Johns:

You gotta reconnect with your creational power.

Ash Johns:

You've gotta reconnect to your inner and ancestral wisdom, your wisdom as a

Ash Johns:

soul, as an individual, and the wisdom that runs through you by association

Ash Johns:

with your ancestors and your lineage.

Ash Johns:

We are not wise on our own.

Ash Johns:

We are a, a system of wisdom, . And you've also gotta connect with

Ash Johns:

your faith and your courage.

Ash Johns:

. All right?

Ash Johns:

Because when we're disconnected from our heart, from our creational power, from our

Ash Johns:

wisdom, from our faith and our courage, that's what creates and allows fogginess

Ash Johns:

to come into our path and we can't see where we're going or can't see the next

Ash Johns:

step, or we don't trust the next step.

Ash Johns:

That's what creates fogginess in our energy.

Ash Johns:

So we can't even attract a symbol or a sign that we can arus.

Ash Johns:

We're like questioning everything because our energy isn't clear.

Ash Johns:

It's giving us mixed signals.

Ash Johns:

, it's also being disconnected with all those things is also what

Ash Johns:

makes us scared of our actions.

Ash Johns:

We don't trust anything that we do, so it all feels wrong, and

Ash Johns:

therefore you get stuck and stagnant.

Ash Johns:

All right, so number one, remember who you are.

Ash Johns:

Number two, reconnect to what you desire.

Ash Johns:

. And if those two things really resonate with you already and you're like, oh

Ash Johns:

shit, I don't really love the way that my life looks and feels right now,

Ash Johns:

even though it looked and felt great before, because building my business

Ash Johns:

to what it was in the past was amazing, and I'm so proud of it and I loved it.

Ash Johns:

And I was like, oh my God.

Ash Johns:

I was waiting for clients to.

Ash Johns:

To pay me 5,000 cash, 8,500 cash, like pay in full of like a thousand

Ash Johns:

dollars year and like I love that.

Ash Johns:

And it wasn't just the money, obviously it was the impact, it was the tears, it

Ash Johns:

was the connection, it was the clarity.

Ash Johns:

It was the, oh my God, let me tell you about Ash John's.

Ash Johns:

Like all of that and the transformation that happened in their lives.

Ash Johns:

I'm grateful for that.

Ash Johns:

And then I realized it was time for something.

Ash Johns:

I loved that man, and then I decided this is not actually in my

Ash Johns:

best interest moving forward, and it doesn't feel good in my heart.

Ash Johns:

I loved when I worked for advertising, it was a thing that I deeply,

Ash Johns:

deeply wanted, and then I was like, no, it's time for something else.

Ash Johns:

I've now outgrown this and I don't even know where to go.

Ash Johns:

I've outgrown this, but my knees are shaking and my legs are

Ash Johns:

wobbling like a baby giraffe, right?

Ash Johns:

. Um, I love that I've been able to attract and earn all this money,

Ash Johns:

rightfully so, but my relationship with money has got to change.

Ash Johns:

It is deeper than strategy and mindset.

Ash Johns:

This is an ancestral pattern I'm living out of not having enough, right?

Ash Johns:

So if any of that resonates and you wanna look at getting clarity and alignment in

Ash Johns:

your life and in your path, cuz things feel a little foggy, definitely sign

Ash Johns:

up for my free mini podcast training.

Ash Johns:

So you want clarity and alignment.

I think I recorded this.

Ash Johns:

Ash Johns:

up freebies I've ever created besides break the pattern and level up.

Ash Johns:

But like that was last episode, . it's an incredible five day free training.

Ash Johns:

So sign up for that.

Ash Johns:

It's gonna guide you through creating clarity in your life,

Ash Johns:

creating, alignment in your path.

Ash Johns:

And it's, it's delightful.

Ash Johns:

, the signup page is really well designed.

Ash Johns:

Shout out to my designer, . but I just wanted to share that with you because if

Ash Johns:

this episode is already resonating, then that's the next step to take it deeper.

Ash Johns:

or you can always get the prompts and things inside of access,

Ash Johns:

but you already know that.

Ash Johns:

Okay, so let me get back to this though.

Ash Johns:

So, number one, you need to remember who you are.

Ash Johns:

Number two, you need to reconnect to your desire.

Ash Johns:

Number three, you need to see how right now the situation that you're

Ash Johns:

currently in, how life looks and feels as it is, is actually serving.

Ash Johns:

how is it serving you?

Ash Johns:

When we experience discomfort and pain and anxiety and

Ash Johns:

unhappiness, those are indicators.

Ash Johns:

They are symptoms that your life is asking you to heal, addressed, evolve,

Ash Johns:

get into something that we've been avoiding, something we've been afraid

Ash Johns:

of something that's been passed on to us and it's been running our system.

Ash Johns:

It's been sabotaging our lives.

Ash Johns:

It's been our operating system that no longer serves.

Ash Johns:

So it's serving you by showing you how it's not serving.

Ash Johns:

Right.

Ash Johns:

And for me personally, and I know this is like.

Ash Johns:

Controversial to say, but anytime my life is asking me to level up and

Ash Johns:

evolve, I experience some form of depression, whether it's acute, whether

Ash Johns:

I don't really think it's chronic.

Ash Johns:

It's like a moment of just being dissatisfied, heavy.

Ash Johns:

Uninspired, like I've even had suicidal ideation and I'm like looking at

Ash Johns:

it like, bitch, I love this life.

Ash Johns:

You're not gonna off yourself.

Ash Johns:

No, I'm not making light of this.

Ash Johns:

But that's how I talk to myself.

Ash Johns:

So what is really going on?

Ash Johns:

What am I disempowered about?

Ash Johns:

And I'm afraid to dig into, accept the challenge of healing, evolving,

Ash Johns:

overcoming that if I did, my life would then change and I would be

Ash Johns:

delighted that I did that work or.

Ash Johns:

Opted in for a new way of existing and relating there is something that

Ash Johns:

your current experience of life, even though you do not like it, or it's

Ash Johns:

not a hundred percent what you deeply desire, it is serving you in a way

Ash Johns:

and you can't, please don't do this.

Ash Johns:

Right?

Ash Johns:

Here's what I'm gonna tell you not to do, do not collapse this

Ash Johns:

down to is keeping me safe.

Ash Johns:

It's keeping me in belonging.

Ash Johns:

Like you gotta go deeper than.

Ash Johns:

. There's always more like we've gotten so good and like healing has become

Ash Johns:

so consumable that our brains are so smart, they've adapted, and it just

Ash Johns:

goes quick to the straight answer.

Ash Johns:

Like I was talking to a friend slash client the other day and we were talking

Ash Johns:

about her relationship to men and settling, and she was like, yeah, like

Ash Johns:

the women have always just settled.

Ash Johns:

And I was like, why?

Ash Johns:

And she's like, well, because they needed to.

Ash Johns:

They needed to just be safe.

Ash Johns:

And I was like, safe From what?

Ash Johns:

What are they protecting themselves from?

Ash Johns:

What are they actually afraid?

Ash Johns:

What did they have without?

Ash Johns:

What are they trying to avoid?

Ash Johns:

There's a specific thing that the women in your lineage have believed That is a

Ash Johns:

limitation in your energy field, in your psyche, in your body, in your heart.

Ash Johns:

It's blocking your heart.

Ash Johns:

That's clogging up your energy field.

Ash Johns:

So this.

Ash Johns:

Experience of your life is asking you to look at that, excavate it from

Ash Johns:

ancestral level, embody it in your life so that this can now be eradicated.

Ash Johns:

Like it's something you're aware of and you navigate around, but it becomes

Ash Johns:

less and less prevalent in your life.

Ash Johns:

Like that's true.

Ash Johns:

Ancestral healing.

Ash Johns:

That's true.

Ash Johns:

Being a leader of your life in your lineage.

Ash Johns:

That's true.

Ash Johns:

Creational woman empowerment.

Ash Johns:

We can create whatever we want when we get down to the root of it, and so

Ash Johns:

when life does not feel the way that you want it to feel, and it doesn't

Ash Johns:

look the way that you want it to look.

Ash Johns:

It's an opportunity to see what life is actually showing you.

Ash Johns:

Number four is do what needs to be done.

Ash Johns:

Oh my God, this one, is it a nuanced one?

Ash Johns:

So hear me when I say this because it's different than the coaching

Ash Johns:

world where they're like, take action.

Ash Johns:

Do what?

Ash Johns:

You know, like do it like it's not that.

Ash Johns:

Because sometimes what needs to be done is actually to surrender and

Ash Johns:

rest what needs to be done, maybe to.

Ash Johns:

What needs to be done?

Ash Johns:

Maybe to take action, what needs to be done, maybe to hold a boundary,

Ash Johns:

what needs to be done, maybe to make a decision that you've been avoiding.

Ash Johns:

it might be to accept and surrender.

Ash Johns:

As I said, it might be to ask for help and to be humble and vulnerable.

Ash Johns:

It might be to be fierce and rise like.

Ash Johns:

Context and nuance matters, but there's something that needs to be

Ash Johns:

done, even if it's just acknowledging, instead of saying, oh, this is normal.

Ash Johns:

Oh, this happens to everyone, or, oh yeah, my friend has been there

Ash Johns:

before, so I'm just gonna push through.

Ash Johns:

Like there is something that your life is asking you to do that needs to be

Ash Johns:

done in order to create the clarity that you need and to take the action

Ash Johns:

and to start shifting your life and whatever thing that you're wanting to

Ash Johns:

change in the direction that you want.

Ash Johns:

number five is clear space and make space.

Ash Johns:

All the steps before this is gonna help you do this, like clearing your

Ash Johns:

energetic space, clearing your mental space, clearing your physical space.

Ash Johns:

Like you have to clear space in your existence in order to make

Ash Johns:

space for the life that you want or the thing to change and the aspect

Ash Johns:

of life that you want, you know?

Ash Johns:

I'll talk about this later cause I know it's gonna be a upcoming podcast episode,

Ash Johns:

but sometimes people are talking about they want more money and so they're just

Ash Johns:

focusing on how do I make more money?

Ash Johns:

How do I receive more money?

Ash Johns:

How do I change my, my mentality and mental around money?

Ash Johns:

But the reality is you need to make space around how you work.

Ash Johns:

You need to like get out of this deadbeat job that you fucking hate

Ash Johns:

and move into something else so that you can receive energetically more.

Ash Johns:

, I've seen it so many times.

Ash Johns:

We're too afraid to take the action that will make the space.

Ash Johns:

and so therefore, we were clogged up and we just keep sitting in

Ash Johns:

our same stew, basically in poop.

Ash Johns:

But as soon as you just rip the bandaid off and do what needs

Ash Johns:

to be done, you make this.

Ash Johns:

Space and then your energy shifts and you're open to an opportunity

Ash Johns:

and the opportunity comes through and it happens way faster.

Ash Johns:

But because we've been putting shit off and like resisting it and

Ash Johns:

avoiding it, and all in our head and da, da, da, da, da, and this is

Ash Johns:

normal, what's the right thing to do?

Ash Johns:

And all the shit, we stay longer and our space stays clouded and we keep re

Ash Johns:

regurgitating the exact same experience over and over and over again in our

Ash Johns:

life, in our mind, and our lineage.

Ash Johns:

Right.

Ash Johns:

And then finally, which is, so this one is, It could be

Ash Johns:

an episode in and of itself.

Ash Johns:

Okay, so again, this is the reason why I'm back on this podcast because

Ash Johns:

there's so much I know and I've been holding that everyone in the world

Ash Johns:

needs as far as I'm concerned.

Ash Johns:

But, you have to choose.

Ash Johns:

You have to choose faith.

Ash Johns:

Over fear, over and over and over and over again until it does become your belief.

Ash Johns:

And if you're doing this just on the, your mental level, that is very helpful.

Ash Johns:

Like seriously, that can give you like 70%, 60% change in your life.

Ash Johns:

But what I find is when.

Ash Johns:

Do ancestral healing and we heal from ancestral trauma at the root.

Ash Johns:

It's easy to shift and stay in faith over fear.

Ash Johns:

It becomes much easier.

Ash Johns:

It's not like I have to keep feeding the slot machine with mindset stuff

Ash Johns:

because my entire energy system, my psychic system, my physiology,

Ash Johns:

my body system, has shifted.

Ash Johns:

And so my belief is around the shift.

Ash Johns:

It's not something that I keep having to like.

Ash Johns:

a bandaid over or like reset the table over like I do my maintenance, but

Ash Johns:

it's not this, like if I miss a day, I've fallen completely off the wagon

Ash Johns:

and I'm back into my old beliefs and my old ways of being like, this is my

Ash Johns:

new standards and my new operating.

Ash Johns:

So you have to choose faith over fear over and over and over again, which is

Ash Johns:

gonna require you to yes, be mindful.

Ash Johns:

But also be in the company of support.

Ash Johns:

Be in the company of your team, whether that is a guide, a coach, a mentor, an

Ash Johns:

elder, a pastor, a preacher, whatever.

Ash Johns:

But also the support of your spirit team, your ancestors, your guide, God,

Ash Johns:

the universe, your deities, you're supporting elemental spirits, whatever you

Ash Johns:

believe in, whoever you're connected to.

Ash Johns:

But of course you guys know my background is in ancestor work,

Ash Johns:

so I'm gonna call forth how you.

Ash Johns:

Work with your ancestors to stay in the energy of faith and believing over fear,

Ash Johns:

personal fear, and or ancestral fear.

Ash Johns:

All right.

Ash Johns:

So that feels complete for today's episode.

Ash Johns:

I have some supportive materials I've prepared for you.

Ash Johns:

If you're not feeling how life is life in right now, , you

Ash Johns:

can get that inside of access.

Ash Johns:

Of course, it's the month-to-month membership after every single

Ash Johns:

episode, I have some prompts, some meditations, whatever it is that can

Ash Johns:

support you in this exact, teaching that I've, I've shared with you today.

Ash Johns:

Ash Johns:

definitely recommend signing up for, so you want clarity and alignment and

Ash Johns:

Ash Johns:

Ash Johns:

All right.

Ash Johns:

Ash Johns:

It is really amazing for on fogging your path and clarifying

Ash Johns:

your next step in life.

Ash Johns:
