Walter Kirn is an American novelist, literary critic, and essayist. Hailing from Smalltown, America, he graduated with an A.B. in English from Princeton University, and earned a second undergraduate degree in English Literature from Oxford University (where he was a Keasbey Memorial Foundation Scholar).
He's the author of eight books, including "Up in the Air", which was adapted into an acclaimed film starring George Clooney, and has written for various publications, such as The Atlantic, The New Yorker, New York Times Magazine, Vogue, and GQ, and is a contributing editor to Time Magazine.
He also co-hosts the "America This Week" podcast with Matt Taibbi.
