Shownotes

Your private practice journey looks different than everyone else’s, and it’s okay to experience doubts along the way. Instead of comparing yourself to other clinicians, focus on what’s important to you and your version of an ideal life.

For Kadeisha, MDiv, LCSW, PMH-C, private practice is the path to increased flexibility, more time with family, and space for her own creative expression and natural leadership strengths.

But transitioning from an independent contractor to a solo practice owner came with its own challenges. And by having a clear “why” behind her work along with support from other mental health professionals, many of whom she met through Business School for Therapists, Kadeisha continues to evolve as a practice owner and approach her business from a place of inner knowledge and trust.

In this episode, Kadeisha talks about her journey from group practice independent contractor to private practice owner, why running a business where she has the freedom and autonomy to make decisions is important to her, the personal challenges around setting a sustainable fee, and more.
