SUMMARY:

The door was opened to resurrection life on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2). The Lord sent the Holy Spirit to those who had gathered in the upper room, and they received power. The spirits of those believers were born again, that day. The Holy Spirit is Christ's Advocate to give life. Anyone who has been born again has the resurrection life of Christ in him.

TAKE AWAY:

Since the Holy Spirit is in us, He can lead and teach us about our spirits and what He is imparting to us day by day. We can reach in to receive all that He teaches and about life and godliness. If you've been born again and have the Holy Spirit in you, you have resurrection life in your spirit.

One of the last things that Jesus did is He prayed for us to follow Him. God answered that prayer because we're doing it. We're entering into the resurrection of our spirit. When we realized that we were born from above, that opened the door. If we walk in His footsteps and continue, that means that resurrection of our spirit.

Ron:

I got a question in this. What does that mean, resurrection of your spirit, but not your flesh? Resurrection life to me is resurrection life on the physical level.

Dale:

You read through the scriptures and you read John 15 through 17, it's all about the spirit and the spirit that dwells within us.

Christ opened the door at the day of Pentecost. The door was open. That's what it talks about when you're born again. Your spirit comes alive . It talks about the spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead will give life to our mortal bodies. So both things are gonna happen. The mortal body may happen sooner than we think we don't know.

Ken:

We have the Holy Spirit abiding within us. If we're born again . That's exactly what Jesus said. I'll send the Spirit , and when He comes, he will reveal to you all things that I've been telling you. If you've been born again, you already have resurrection life. If we have Christ in us because we've been born again, and the life of Christ is in us.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. What life? Resurrection life. Go back to when Lazarus was in the tomb for four days. And Martha came to Jesus and said, If you'd have been here, You'd have saved him, You'd have delivered him. And Jesus said, I am. Now those are key words. I am the resurrection and the life.

It is in Me to resurrect, and I am the resurrection. And so He said, Lazarus, come forth. And he came forth, because He had the power to resurrect Lazarus. When Jesus died, He said, I will send you the Holy Spirit. What is the Holy Spirit? God.

God comes into your life. Does God have resurrection life? Absolutely. He is resurrection life. And I know this is confronting, because a lot of times we think, I'm reaching for resurrection life. No, you have resurrection life. It's something that you have to claim and believe that the Lord has already put resurrection life in you.

Do you have it in your physical body yet? I don't know how to answer that. All I know is in the Spirit, we have resurrection life. And all through the Word, the Word talks about the Spirit coming on people, but not necessarily being in people, all through the Word. When the Holy Spirit was given to those believers on the day of Pentecost, they were filled with the Holy Spirit.

What's the Holy Spirit? It's God. What's resurrection life? God. It's going to be so simple. It'll be like walking through one door into the next. And it is that simple. You have resurrection life already.

Dale:

Christ came, and the very first thing out of His mouth was the kingdom. That's where we're headed, the kingdom of God.

His ministry is the footpaths, the steps to resurrection life in the spirit that's coming first. As God speaks to us in waiting on Him, seeking Him, however you want to put it, it's got to be an experience and just instead of a great idea that God gave me. With that preface, What happened to Christ on the cross?

He gave His spirit back to His, to the Father, where it came from. And as we do that, we go through the cross experience. The right hand of the Father. We'll reach into that, the place where our cross experience ended. the right hand of the father who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will give life to our mortal bodies.

We know that Romans 8, that's how Christ got out of Hades and to the right hand of the Father. We're supposed to do that too, because we're following in His footsteps. God is raising our spirit. He's reaching in, raising our spirit. If we go through the cross, resurrection is up to the Father, because we've done everything we can.

I'll quote you a scripture, John 17, 24, one of the last things Jesus prayed for was for us to follow Him. And when the cross is done in your life, it speeds things up. And without the cross, we can't be resurrected because we haven't died. Once that cross experience is complete and you move on to the resurrection of your spirit, you move without fear. You move because the things that keep you from the Lord How much of his life have you appropriated? How much do you believe? that you're resurrected in the spirit.

Ron:

Yeah, we're going to be, we're being resurrected in our spirit, but let's not leave out our body and our soul because we're one man. The provision's total. It's not just our spirit. It was given to you when you were born again. So you have the seed of it in your being and you just have to believe it, claim it, walk it out with the Holy Spirit. I believe that's true, but I also believe that we have the rest of it too. The full provision of God has been put in the body of Christ already throughout the world.

In that whole realm, that worldwide realm of the body of Christ, I believe God has put all the answers already. We don't have to reach up in the heaven to bring him down. Down in the abyss, we don't have to reach into something. He's already given us all things pertaining to life. Where is it? It's in the body of Christ.

It resides in His people already. And our job is to discover it in His people. There's answers out there in His people. It's not in the spirit realm. It's in His people. He's imparted it to His people already. We don't have to wrestle with God to bring it down on the earth. He's already done it.

It's just that we are not aware of it. We can wall ourselves off from it because of our fears or our prejudging people. God has put gifts every part of His body. And if you reject those people, you reject the vessel, you're missing something that could be an answer that you're looking for your whole life.

Your whole life you're looking for this answer, and he's right in front of you, and you're rejecting him because you don't like what they believe, or you don't like the way they look, or you don't like their lifestyle, or whatever. And I'm tired of wrestling with God in the Spirit when He just looks at me and goes, I've already done it all.
