Welcome to another episode of the Journey Your Own Meditation Series with Jyothi V. Robertson, DVM. In this session, we unfold the art of body awareness and intention setting to help you start your day with mindfulness and purpose.

This session begins with a deep, cleansing breath, inviting you to let go of the chatter of the mind and settle into the here and now. By paying attention to the sensations of the body and the rhythm of the breath, we create a sanctuary of tranquility within.

As you settle into your posture, you are gently guided to become aware of your breath, the rise and fall of your chest, and the sensation of the breath entering your nostrils. There's no judgment here—just a gentle observation of your breath.

Thoughts naturally arise, as they do for all of us, but we are encouraged to return to the anchor of our breath when this happens. This simple act of returning to the breath helps us cultivate mindfulness, the ability to observe our thoughts and feelings without judgment.

Moving deeper into the practice, we journey through the body, relaxing each part with the breath. From the face to the shoulders, chest, and down to the feet, this body scan fosters a sense of connection and awareness within. It reminds us that our bodies are always present, always breathing.

Now, in the serenity of this body awareness, we're invited to set an intention for the day—a way of being or showing up in the world. It could be to be present, open, or curious—whatever resonates with you. This intention becomes your guide, your compass for the day ahead.

We close this meditation with a moment of gratitude for taking this time for yourself and for your commitment to being present and grounded. With each day, this practice becomes a part of nurturing your inner peace and presence.
