We desperately need help to overcome our brokenness, but we look in all the wrong places for that help. Christmas is a prime example. We feel empty, dead, and hopeless, and we look to presents, lights, family to fill it, and it only makes it worse. Only the Spirit of Jesus Christ can provide all that our hearts long for. When he hovers over our lives, He brings beauty, life, and hope. When we trust in Christ’s savings work, we are made ready for the Spirit and discover that He alone can satisfy us.
