Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, the thief on the cross: None of these were baptized, yet they shall be in the kingdom

Christ was born of the Spirit when He rose again from the dead. The water is referring to his human birth

What Are Clouds?

A cloud is made of water drops or ice crystals floating in the sky. There are many kinds of clouds. Clouds are an important part of Earth's weather. (nasa.gov)

Takeaway: Christ was born into the human condition through Mary, and was born of water (amniotic fluid) as all human beings are born. This was to satisfy the legal condition that He be fully God and fully Man in order to lay claim to take title of the earth! Hence His name, the Son of Man. The water (Christ’s human birth) and the blood (His death) bear witness to His humanity, His Messiahship and His right to be king of the earth.
