Shownotes
Earlier this week the Canadian Olympic Committee started a chain of events that pushed the IOC and the Japanese government in to postponing the 2020 Olympic Games.
It's created quite a stir all over the world and right here at home. So we figured there was no better time to bring in someone who's neck deep in this stuff. Amy Burk has competed at Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016 and was deep in preparation for Tokyo 2020 before it was called off. She's suddenly got a lot of time on her hands and so jumped on the show.
We ask Amy to walk us through the timeline of this whole thing, the feelings of competing in the last sports event on Canadian soil before the shut down, how she's feeling knowing the Games will be postponed an entire year and what her thoughts on Canada forcing the issue were. Plus tons more.
