Rob is the co-founder and Senior counselor at the American Freedom Law Center. They are in their 10th year anniversary right now, but they've been doing nonprofit civil rights litigation for well over 20 years.
The American Freedom Law Center is a national nonprofit public interest law firm. They take cases that are in the public interest, typically cases involving the First Amendment, the right to free speech, the right to religious exercise.
All of their work is pro-Bono for the good. They're a 501 C three organization. So all the legal work we do in the cases we do across the country, literally from Massachusetts to Hawaii. They do cases all over the country defending religious Liberty and the freedom of speech.
By winning our civil rights cases, we get Attorney's fees and we also rely on donations for the work we do. But again, it's in the public interest.
The courts have said time and again that upholding the constitutional rights of a party is always in the public interest right because when you defend the constitutional rights of one plaintiff, you're also defending the constitutional rights of all.

He went to law school, left his active duty infantry officer career because, in his view, there were more domestic enemies of the Constitution who are affecting our liberties and our freedoms here in the United States in the courtrooms. And so he hung up his pack and his rifle and got his law degree. He likes to think he's just continuing that same battle that same fight but doing so in the courtrooms.
