Speaker A:

Hello there, beautiful women.

Speaker A:

I can't wait for you to listen to this coaching style episode.

Speaker A:

So every once in a while I do a batch of episodes where I actually will talk to people about their podcast and walk through, even sharing screen and walk through their problems with their podcast, whether or not that is something to do with their cover art or their description or their title or just other little bits and pieces that maybe their finding a problem with and they just need a tiny bit of coaching.

Speaker A:

And so these episodes that I'm going to be bringing to you are coaching style episodes.

Speaker A:

They're absolutely amazing.

Speaker A:

I love doing them and I love bringing them to you because I really feel like you get a piece of me.

Speaker A:

You get to actually see how I conduct these and how I coach people too, how I help you just bring more awareness and more downloads to your show.

Speaker A:

So my invitation right now is that I am looking for a couple of new podcasts to do these coaching episodes around.

Speaker A:

and ears on that podcast for:

Speaker A:

That will also be in the show notes.

Speaker A:

But that will kind of walk you through my times available as well as it will ask you a bunch of different questions that will help me be as prepared as I can to help you with your show.

Speaker A:

There's never any obligation, although maybe we'll work together or maybe you'll just get some information where your show will grow.

Speaker A:

So go ahead and fill that out and I look forward to helping you grow your show.

Speaker A:

Welcome beautiful souls.

Speaker A:

This is Kim Parkinson with Podcasting for Spiritual Women.

Speaker A:

And today I am doing a coaching session with Coach Felicia.

Speaker A:

So Felicia, can you tell us a little bit about your podcast and your offers?

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

So my posca, my podcast is called Unleashed and Aligned and it was really formed in this inspiration of other people that I've met through networking, I've met through classes that just have really inspiring stories and listening to them really inspired me.

Speaker B:

And so I was like, I want to have this podcast where we bring awareness, education, inspiration to people from like the everyday person.

Speaker B:

Like you'd see them walking on the street.

Speaker B:

And that's kind of how I got my inspiration is from the this concept of just, you know, not celebrities or anything like that.

Speaker B:

And so I had people on that just told their Unleashed and Aligned stories and then I kind of expanded from there and now we do one that's called the Genius Drop where they're they're honing in and there's zone of Genius and then there's also the activation which they're actually taking.

Speaker B:

Taking you through something in the form of like, I had somebody voice coach on and kind of talking about training that and now I'm kind of doing themes.

Speaker B:

So we have kind of fun themes and that's where we're at with the podcast.

Speaker B:

Me, myself, I am a life coach, a reiki practitioner, and I am in the process of kind of revamping some of my offers.

Speaker B:

But pretty soon I'll have a community where people can come in and have set sessions with me and then also be walked through some self concept and limiting belief work because I work with people on enhancing their personal growth, self love and self concept.

Speaker A:

Love that.

Speaker A:

Excellent.

Speaker A:

Well, you got a lot to lot going on.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And I did take a, I did take a look at your podcast and you have already over 40 episodes and you just released in April.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Is that right?

Speaker B:

End of April, Yeah.

Speaker B:

So are you.

Speaker A:

Is this the cadence that you're looking for?

Speaker A:

You're looking to record an episode?

Speaker A:

An episode?

Speaker A:

Like three episodes a week?

Speaker A:

Like, what is, what's your thoughts?

Speaker B:

Actually, no, it was supposed to be every Friday, but I got so, like, inspired by these people.

Speaker B:

I'm like, people need to hear them.

Speaker B:

And so I started dropping them.

Speaker B:

And then when I had monthly themes, I was like, okay, I'll just drop the monthly themes themes as I edit and go through them to get them out there.

Speaker B:

And then I was like, all right, I need to like, have a structure.

Speaker B:

And so I'm trying to do like Tuesday, Friday.

Speaker B:

So like monthly themes on Tuesday and then regular episodes Friday.

Speaker B:

But I kind of flushed everything out, so hopefully in September they'll all be more aligned with what I'm trying to do.

Speaker A:

Yeah, no, I love that.

Speaker A:

I actually, for the summer, I release two episodes a week too, just to try to get that vault of knowledge information out there.

Speaker A:

So I, I am aligned with that.

Speaker A:

And you know, the best part about podcasting is if you feel like that's too much at any given point, you can just scale it back to the one a week.

Speaker A:

So, yeah, no big deal.

Speaker A:

Yeah, so I love that.

Speaker A:

All right, so you submitted some questions, but you had a specific question about Podbean.

Speaker A:

What is, what is your question today?

Speaker B:

So when you were on my podcast, you had spoke about and I, I'm not 100% sure where, what it's called or where it's located, but something about adding like, words, and I thought it was in your.

Speaker B:

Like, where people find your podcast.

Speaker B:

And I was so confused about where that was supposed to be at or what to do there.

Speaker B:

And I was wondering if you understood what I'm saying.

Speaker A:

So I'm thinking that maybe we might have been talking about a title extension.

Speaker A:

Does that sound right to you?

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker B:

Yes.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

So when we met and I was on your podcast, we kind of talked a little bit about the naming convention.

Speaker A:

And one of the best ways for SEO and keyword organic discoverability in a podcast player is to have those SEO keywords.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

So my.

Speaker A:

I know right now that you are unleashed and aligned podcast.

Speaker A:

And I think that in your hosting environment now, every hosting environment, different.

Speaker A:

It's usually in the settings area is where you're going to find the name of your podcast.

Speaker A:

And you can share your screen, too.

Speaker A:

And I can kind of walk you through it.

Speaker A:

I've never been in podbean, but I've been in lots of other different hosts.

Speaker A:

So somebody's, you know, and it's going to be.

Speaker A:

It's got to be there somewhere.

Speaker B:

I think it's.

Speaker B:

Can you see my screen?

Speaker A:

I can see your screen.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

So right there, where it says podcast title unleashed and aligned.

Speaker A:

So my suggestion here is to add an extension.

Speaker A:

So you could even do something like mindset and spiritual growth for healing women or something along those lines.

Speaker A:

There, you know, lots of different SEO words.

Speaker A:

Normally, I would want to start with an SEO word, but since you just started your podcast and you've got quite a bit underneath your belt here, let's try the extension part, which in this case I would just add.

Speaker A:

You could.

Speaker A:

You could do what I think of as a ChatGPT version and do the colon there if you wanted to.

Speaker A:

Or you could do a hyphen or something like that.

Speaker A:

Or not.

Speaker A:

And.

Speaker A:

Yeah, exactly like that.

Speaker A:

Yep, yep.

Speaker A:

Just a little hyphen.

Speaker A:

And then you could do something that's more specific, that is keywords.

Speaker A:

So mindset coach, spiritual growth, healing women.

Speaker A:

You know, something like that.

Speaker A:

So mindset coach, healing.

Speaker A:

Okay, so I see you're typing, so let's go mindset coach.

Speaker A:

Let's do.

Speaker A:

How about.

Speaker A:

And spiritual healing.

Speaker B:

So do I put.

Speaker B:

Am I doing it properly or should I put spaces or should I not put spaces?

Speaker A:

Yeah, you want to put spaces in between.

Speaker A:

Just like you.

Speaker A:

Like, just like you're writing out a sentence.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

So just like a sentence.

Speaker A:

And this is going to.

Speaker A:

Yeah, so one more.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

And I would even capitalize Coach spiritual healing.

Speaker A:

I know you capitalize mindset already.

Speaker A:

And then I would Then say, do you have a specific audience that you aim for?

Speaker B:

Basically, you know, busy women that are looking to.

Speaker B:

To enhance their.

Speaker B:

So, yeah, I guess I don't have like a.

Speaker B:

That's trying to think of a specific keyword.

Speaker A:

But yeah, you could.

Speaker A:

For right now, you could write for busy women.

Speaker A:

And here's the thing, you can change this at any time.

Speaker A:

And now you can delete anything else that you wrote after women there.

Speaker A:

It's just because you already said spiritual, so you don't need to say it more than once.

Speaker A:

And now that you have updated your podcast title, Unleashed it in Light Unleashed and aligned Mindset Coach.

Speaker A:

Spiritual.

Speaker A:

How about mindset?

Speaker A:

Mindset.

Speaker A:

So are you.

Speaker A:

Are you a mindset coach?

Speaker A:

You didn't say you were, though.

Speaker B:

So I do help with mindset and like embodiment or getting into the body chakras, things like that.

Speaker A:

So maybe coaching then?

Speaker A:

Because that would make more sense.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

Mindset coaching and spiritual healing for busy women.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And again, if you find, you know, after this call or whatever and you're like, you know what?

Speaker A:

I actually have a great idea of a different word.

Speaker A:

You can update this anytime.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

You can update it, you know, here.

Speaker A:

Once you update it and you find what you really want, my suggestion is to leave it there for like 30 to 60 days and see how that, like, starts trans.

Speaker A:

Starts transferring into more listeners.

Speaker A:

And then you'll want to go on from there and then maybe tweak things.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Yeah, so you can hit the save button.

Speaker A:

I don't know where that is on here.

Speaker A:

I guess it's at the bottom maybe.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

Update options.

Speaker A:

Perfect.

Speaker A:

Now, one other thing that I did notice, and I really would love for you to update, since we're already in here, we can talk about the description in a minute.

Speaker A:

But somewhere in here, and I'm not exactly sure again, because I'm not a podbean expert here.

Speaker A:

Somewhere in here is your name.

Speaker A:

Because in Apple, your name is one word and I would love for it to be two words because somebody's not going to be searching for your full name.

Speaker A:

They're going to like as one word.

Speaker A:

They're going to be searching for it.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Author right there.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

You've already gone by it, so put a space there.

Speaker A:

Now at the end of your last name.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Put one of those, like, little lines or hyphen.

Speaker A:

It's.

Speaker A:

The line is above the enter button.

Speaker A:

And it's not this.

Speaker A:

It's not the horizontal one.

Speaker A:

It's the up and down one.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I don't Know what that's called?

Speaker A:

If you know what it's called, let me know.

Speaker A:

And then I would put there what you want to be known for.

Speaker A:

So, for instance, mine, it says Kim Parkinson.

Speaker A:

That line.

Speaker A:

Podcast growth coach.

Speaker B:

Oh, okay.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

It's just one more way of being found.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

So if you want to be known as a life coach, put life coach, spiritual life coach, spiritual life coach, whatever you want to do.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Absolutely.

Speaker A:

And.

Speaker A:

And then you can save that.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Oh, okay.

Speaker B:

I like that.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Super easy.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

Because it makes it look a lot nicer on.

Speaker A:

On Apple, too.

Speaker A:

Because in Apple, like I said, it was just like one.

Speaker A:

Just your name all in lowercase in one word.

Speaker A:

So if I had looked up your name and I had put the space in it, I might not have found it.

Speaker B:

Oh, gotcha.

Speaker B:

Okay, that's good to know.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

All right, so do you have any other questions about other pieces, or do you want me to just dive in?

Speaker B:

Yeah, if you just want to dive in.

Speaker B:

Because I kind of forgot what I wrote.

Speaker A:

No worries.

Speaker A:

No worries.

Speaker A:

So I'm going to talk to you about your description.

Speaker A:

So your description right now starts with Unleashed and Aligned.

Speaker A:

That's already in the title.

Speaker A:

So you are almost like wasting the space to have it there because you're wasting the discoverability because you've already got it one place.

Speaker A:

So let's find other keywords that you can start with that.

Speaker A:

And here's how I do mine.

Speaker A:

So I usually start with two sentences that are almost like, stuffed full of keywords.

Speaker A:

So whoever you help, whatever you do and all of that, I write down all the keywords that I have for that.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

And then I try to create two sentences using just those keywords.

Speaker A:

In that first paragraph, you are not going to mention yourself or the podcast name.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

The second paragraph is going to be introducing you and who you are and what you do.

Speaker A:

And then the third paragraph is going to be a little bit about what the listener can expect within the show.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

And then lastly, I like to sometimes mention you can also put in what they call Google style questions, and these are any kind of a question where the answer is Unleashed and Aligned Podcast.

Speaker A:

Take a look at some of the episodes that you have already done and see if you can create a question where the answer is that episode.

Speaker A:

Am I making sense?

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

And then put those at the bottom.

Speaker A:

So put the questions at the bottom type thing.

Speaker A:

You don't have to reflect back to a podcast episode.

Speaker A:

Basically, you know, it's just if somebody types in a question and Wants to know.

Speaker A:

And you've actually had quite a few people on there.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

So if you've had on somebody that has been really aligned.

Speaker A:

So let me see here.

Speaker A:

I've got Max Sheffield, right?

Speaker A:

You had him on last week.

Speaker A:

Let me see.

Speaker A:

If I click on this, it's going to start.

Speaker A:

No, it doesn't.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

So it says, max Sheffield on rewriting your story, reclaiming joy, and resisting the binary.

Speaker A:

So if you had a question that basically said something about.

Speaker A:

And I don't.

Speaker A:

I don't want to really say rewriting your story, because that's already in there.

Speaker A:

So we could say.

Speaker A:

And.

Speaker A:

And maybe you don't want to write.

Speaker A:

Put.

Speaker A:

Put the person's name, but you could say something along the lines of, is Max Sheffield resisting the binary?

Speaker A:

I don't know, because I haven't listened to that particular episode.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

Okay, yeah, you'd have to make that decision.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

And I see you have some other things.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

So it says from childhood.

Speaker A:

So you'll leave this with courage to explore your own story, listen to your body, and find joy.

Speaker B:

So they do like, rewrite, like how to.

Speaker B:

To basically describe your story and write your story.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

It's a story.

Speaker B:

They help with storytelling.

Speaker B:

So.

Speaker A:

Okay, so that could be.

Speaker A:

You know, how could you reword that, Re.

Speaker A:

Retool that so that the answer is that episode?

Speaker A:

Got it.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

And so you want to put maybe five to 10 of those questions underneath the other three paragraphs that you put in your description.

Speaker B:

So if I put the.

Speaker B:

I just leave the questions in and I don't refer back to a podcast episode.

Speaker A:

Nope.

Speaker A:

Nope.

Speaker A:

Because here's the thing.

Speaker A:

If somebody asks you about it, you already know what episode it is.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

You don't have to.

Speaker A:

You.

Speaker A:

What you're going to say.

Speaker A:

What I usually put in is it says something along the lines of this podcast explains or dives into or describes or something.

Speaker A:

This podcast dives into questions such as.

Speaker A:

And then you leave those.

Speaker A:

And it doesn't have to be about your.

Speaker A:

As a matter of fact, I'm going to back up just a little bit.

Speaker A:

It doesn't have to be any.

Speaker A:

About any of your guests.

Speaker A:

It really should be more questions about you and your services as far as whatever episodes you've done for yourself, your solo episodes.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

So if you've done.

Speaker A:

And I know you've done some solo episodes, I'm just.

Speaker A:

Oh, so the last one you did was a solo episode.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

So that one there.

Speaker A:

The truth about life's purpose.

Speaker A:

Stop searching for it.

Speaker A:

And start living it.

Speaker A:

That's episode 43.

Speaker A:

So my suggestion here is, do you know the truth about your life's purpose?

Speaker A:

Okay, perfect is a question, right?

Speaker A:

Nice and simple and easy.

Speaker A:

And then.

Speaker A:

And actually you even asked one right in there.

Speaker A:

What is my life's part?

Speaker A:

You actually asked it.

Speaker A:

And then.

Speaker A:

So you could just use something like that too.

Speaker A:

You actually asked a question in there, so I feel like you already did it.

Speaker A:

It's just you didn't.

Speaker A:

You didn't know to put it in your description yet, so.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

That's awesome.

Speaker A:

And by keeping it aligned with yourself, you know, keeping it with the Google style questions about you and your offers, that's going to just bring more visibility to yourself rather than to, like, your podcast guest.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

So got it.

Speaker A:

That's.

Speaker A:

That's the goal here, is you really want.

Speaker A:

You.

Speaker A:

You really want to have as many episodes about yourself that you can.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker B:

Yeah, and that was one thing that you had mentioned.

Speaker B:

And I was like, wow, I've had a lot of guests on, and I've had so many guests where it was hard for me to create an episode because I was literally.

Speaker B:

I had so many meetings with other people that I was kind of drained to do my own episode.

Speaker B:

And so I've been really working hard since our episode to create my own, because that was something that I feel like my podcast is lacking, is a lot more of.

Speaker B:

I intended to have a lot of them, and then it just kind of got carried away because I was like, ah, I need to enhance my interview skills.

Speaker B:

And so I was just like, racking in all the interviews I could to try and help.

Speaker A:

But yeah, and you know what?

Speaker A:

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Speaker A:

My thought process on this has changed, even just a little bit, as far as if you have done a ton of interviews, right, and you have them in the bank and you're like, I just don't want to give them up because this has happened with another.

Speaker A:

Another person I believe we both know Tanisha.

Speaker A:

So Tanisha was my first coaching episode back, I believe, July 10th or 17th, something like that.

Speaker A:

And she had a lot of guesting as well that she was doing.

Speaker A:

And I feel like this is an opportunity because a lot of times we record in zoom.

Speaker A:

So this is an opportunity for you to maybe do like the raw version and like upload some of them to just YouTube.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Not as a podcast episode, but just like a.

Speaker A:

This is like an extra.

Speaker A:

This is like a dink.

Speaker A:

And you can even mention to the person, the client or, Or The.

Speaker A:

The guest that you have on that.

Speaker A:

This is like a bonus episode that will be live or not live?

Speaker A:

Well, it will be live, but it will go live onto YouTube as a video version, and it won't actually be on the audio podcast, but it will be like a companion.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Yeah, I like that.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

And then you could.

Speaker A:

Then you're growing in both areas, right?

Speaker A:

You're growing here and here.

Speaker A:

And you can still do all of the audiograms or all of the quote graphics or whatever it is that you do.

Speaker A:

You can still do all of that for YouTube, but you're basically kind of like growing your YouTube at the same time you're growing your podcast and you're not really doing any more additional work because you already said you have a bunch and you know, you had a bunch of planned in the bank, so.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

I love that idea.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Just another way of getting more out there, more into that.

Speaker A:

Into that space.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

So I'll definitely revise this description.

Speaker B:

Let's do that later.

Speaker A:

Of course.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

Not like Tanisha, who did it.

Speaker A:

As I was talking, she's like.

Speaker A:

And then she's like, tell me, what do you think of this?

Speaker B:

Oh, man, that's funny.

Speaker B:

No, I'm not that cute.

Speaker A:

It's okay.

Speaker A:

She's good.

Speaker A:

She's good.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Do you have any other questions?

Speaker A:

Do you want me to dive into anything else here?

Speaker B:

I think that it's good here.

Speaker B:

I don't know if you feel like I should add another category or if the categories really matter.

Speaker A:

So the categories matter if you're trying to get into that particular area as far as people are going to find you just based on searchability.

Speaker A:

But if you wanted.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

So here's a little trick that I do occasionally when we have a launch client or we have somebody that's going to do something really big and they want a lot of downloads and maybe see if they can get higher up in the Apple sphere or something is.

Speaker A:

We will change their podcast category to something that is less busy.

Speaker A:

Religion and spirituality or Spirituality is pretty busy right now.

Speaker A:

Business is very busy.

Speaker A:

Entrepreneurship, business, very specific.

Speaker A:

Is very busy.

Speaker A:

May think it is another one.

Speaker A:

I don't.

Speaker A:

I don't know if there's an.

Speaker A:

Those are the two that I deal with a lot, and so they're very busy.

Speaker A:

I would not choose a sports one.

Speaker A:

I.

Speaker A:

You know, you can choose society and culture and you could do, like, personal journals, because realistically, you talk a lot about personal.

Speaker A:

Personal things like that.

Speaker A:

So that would actually Be a very good one.

Speaker A:

Now, when and if you are ever interested in advertisement on a podcast player, the podcast category really matters.

Speaker B:

Oh, okay.

Speaker A:

And that's because it will be seen by those people that are in that category.

Speaker A:

So that is, I mean it's still going to be something that, you know, if somebody's in that category and they're looking it up specifically.

Speaker A:

But I can tell you that I've had a client who accidentally had golfing, that's their category and they were still being found.

Speaker A:

It was just, you know, for whatever reason, whatever they picked, they fat fingered golfing and you know, they weren't anything about golfing at all.

Speaker A:

So it was okay.

Speaker A:

It was okay because she was not worried about being in the Apple top categories and things like that.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

I was gonna go over to my stats, so I don't know if what, I don't know what I should be looking for in here or if there's anything that I should care about.

Speaker B:

Well, I mean, obviously it's like downloads and stuff like that, but I, I don't think I can do anything in this area about any of this.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

Other than.

Speaker A:

So I like to keep a Google spreadsheet on my stats because I like to be able to see the stats go up or down.

Speaker A:

And the reason I do this is for a couple things.

Speaker A:

So sometimes you'll notice that an episode didn't get any hits.

Speaker A:

Not a lot of hits, something.

Speaker A:

And what you can do is you can tweak that episode, you can tweak the title of that episode to try to get more discoverability.

Speaker A:

Now one thing I will say about your titles, so you do, I love, I love that you put the number before it, but then, and then you put that little line that we talked about, but then you don't put a space.

Speaker A:

So when, when anything is searching, they're not going to be searching for 43 line.

Speaker A:

The gotcha.

Speaker B:

Okay, yeah.

Speaker A:

And I would also say omit.

Speaker A:

Try to omit as best as you can the word the A.

Speaker A:

You know, if things like that, what really does work but use them, you know, sparingly is top five strategies, you know, top five tips, things like that.

Speaker A:

It doesn't have to be five, 10, 15, whatever.

Speaker A:

You got three, whatever.

Speaker A:

And then the other ones that seem to work really well also are how tos.

Speaker A:

Now normally a how to wouldn't be what I would consider SEO like searchable, but people search for how to all the time, so.

Speaker B:

Oh, okay, okay.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

So if you ever have one, for instance, the Very first one that you have here.

Speaker A:

You know, the truth about life's purpose, Stop searching for it and start living it.

Speaker A:

You could change that to how to stop searching for life's purpose and start living it.

Speaker A:

Oh, you know, it could be something very simple like that.

Speaker A:

And that would just kind of give you an idea, you know, if it was working, you know, how to stop searching for life's purpose and start living it.

Speaker A:

And I would also say here, don't use the how to or the top five every episode.

Speaker A:

But, you know, sometimes I do it two times in a row, sometimes I don't.

Speaker A:

So, you know, just play around with it.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

And it doesn't matter if you change the name of it either.

Speaker A:

Like, you can change.

Speaker A:

You can go in and change the name of every episode today, and you could actually go in and you could be like, oh, my gosh, this episode only got, you know, five downloads, and all the rest of mine are getting 95 downloads.

Speaker A:

Well, change the name of that one and see if it.

Speaker A:

If it changes it.

Speaker A:

If it fixes it.

Speaker A:

Okay, yeah, yeah, all of those.

Speaker A:

Anything that you might have.

Speaker A:

It also gives you a benchmark as to, like, that person.

Speaker A:

Like, sometimes you'll see, like, a huge spike in your downloads for somebody in particular, and you could say, oh, she really shared.

Speaker A:

Or he really shared my podcast episode.

Speaker A:

So see, this particular Alison Hayes here, it says 140%.

Speaker A:

Allison probably shared a little bit more than, say, you know, whoever else you got there right above it.

Speaker A:

I don't really say any names, but, you know, but they probably shared a little bit more on their socials, which is ultimately the goal.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Yeah, I noticed that with my friend Lauren.

Speaker B:

I think she shared it a lot because I was like, wow, you're getting a lot of hits.

Speaker B:

And you're.

Speaker B:

It's not somebody that's selling any, you know, that's like, online selling anything.

Speaker B:

So I was like, oh, yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

So.

Speaker A:

And.

Speaker A:

And I wouldn't always.

Speaker A:

Here's the other thing.

Speaker A:

I've noticed that you put their names in every time.

Speaker A:

I don't.

Speaker A:

You don't always have to if they are not well known.

Speaker A:

And I would do my.

Speaker A:

My research, right?

Speaker A:

So if you go to their Facebook or Instagram or wherever you're most active, and you go and you see that they only have, like, 100 followers or, you know, less than 100 followers on Instagram, and maybe they've only got, like, I don't know, 500 people that follow them on Facebook.

Speaker A:

I'm not.

Speaker A:

I'm just throwing Numbers out of the hat here.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

They're not well known.

Speaker A:

Don't bother using their name.

Speaker A:

Don't use the space.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Find another keyword that is more important.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And.

Speaker A:

And I'm not negating anyone, but their name is just not important enough for SEO to pick up.

Speaker B:

Got it.

Speaker B:

Okay, that's.

Speaker B:

I got a lot of work to do.

Speaker A:

And again, any of the show notes inside, don't worry about them because they're not even.

Speaker A:

They're only for your listeners.

Speaker A:

They're not searchable on a.

Speaker A:

On a podcast player.

Speaker A:

Yeah, all of that.

Speaker B:

All this.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

Not searchable on a podcast player, so not even.

Speaker A:

Don't even worry about that.

Speaker A:

As far as it's basically for your guests to.

Speaker A:

Or your listeners to read beforehand.

Speaker A:

I'll also mention if you go to episode 43 in your episodes real quick, in your description, there's no link to your newsletter, no link to your website, no link at all for you.

Speaker A:

So you're missing a link.

Speaker A:

All you need is just one.

Speaker A:

Give them your Facebook.

Speaker A:

Give them just anything like that.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Whatever it is, wherever you want to send them, that's fine.

Speaker A:

But you want.

Speaker A:

And obviously not back to the podcast.

Speaker A:

So just, you know, something else.

Speaker A:

But wherever you want to send them, I would definitely send them.

Speaker A:

Input one link, maybe two in there.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Don't bother putting in a ton of links.

Speaker A:

The problem is, is people are so busy that they only click on the first one.

Speaker A:

Go to whatever it is.

Speaker A:

So you want them to go to the one, the most important one.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

They're not going to come more often than not.

Speaker A:

Like, think about a reel, right?

Speaker A:

If it doesn't interest you in the first couple of seconds, you move on to the next reel.

Speaker A:

So same thing.

Speaker A:

If they're listening to the podcast episode, they're going to click on the first link.

Speaker A:

They've moved on.

Speaker A:

They're already moved on.

Speaker A:

So make that link count.

Speaker B:

That makes sense.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

I'm curious to see what happens when I kind of change around this.

Speaker B:

Oh, I do have a question.

Speaker B:

My name is that.

Speaker B:

I know that we had talked before about, like, the name and how it matters.

Speaker B:

What do you think about mine?

Speaker B:

Your.

Speaker A:

Your personal name or the title?

Speaker B:

The title of the.

Speaker B:

Sorry, the title of the podcast.

Speaker A:

So unleashed and aligned.

Speaker A:

So we just changed it, right?

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

So we just changed it to say a little bit more keywords and for who.

Speaker A:

Yeah, and that's what you want it to be.

Speaker A:

You want it to be keywords for who type of thing.

Speaker A:

And sometimes Sometimes it's not always.

Speaker A:

You don't always have to do four, you know, but you definitely want it to be very well known in your title what you're speaking about and who you're speaking to.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

And now here's the thing.

Speaker A:

If you are finding that people still aren't finding you with Unleashed and Aligned first, put that at the end.

Speaker B:

Oh, okay.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Yeah, you don't have to change your, you know, intro.

Speaker A:

You don't have to change all of that other stuff, but just change it in the host, which is where we are here in Podbean.

Speaker A:

Just change it in the host for discoverability.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

I have updated my.

Speaker B:

So one episode.

Speaker B:

I didn't add the intro in because I think you mentioned that just like for funsies.

Speaker B:

And then I actually started taking off most of because I think my introduction was a little too long.

Speaker B:

And so I just was like, taking off most of it and it's just like, welcome to the Unleashed online podcast.

Speaker B:

Basically.

Speaker B:

Yeah, I was like, nobody cares about any of the other stuff.

Speaker B:

Like, let's just dive in.

Speaker A:

Yep, yep.

Speaker A:

As a matter of fact, what you heard at the beginning, at the beginning of this talk.

Speaker A:

So what I will do is after this is I will edit this and I will obviously listen to it again.

Speaker A:

As I edit.

Speaker A:

I will give like a 30 second.

Speaker A:

Can't wait for you to listen to Felicia and I talk about how we changed her podcast name.

Speaker A:

And I won't add any music, I won't add any intro.

Speaker A:

I do continue with the outro, but that's it.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I dive right in.

Speaker A:

No more wasting any time at the beginning.

Speaker B:

Yeah, I love it.

Speaker B:

Awesome.

Speaker B:

Well, thank you so much.

Speaker B:

I'm excited to see how it turns around and I want to update you on how it goes.

Speaker B:

I'm going to put metrics and see.

Speaker A:

Yeah, please do.

Speaker B:

Okay, I'm going to report back to you.

Speaker A:

All right, sounds good, Alicia.

Speaker A:

Any other questions today?

Speaker B:

I don't know.

Speaker B:

Thank you, Kim.

Speaker A:

You're welcome.

Speaker A:
