RANT Ahead....I am kinda pissed about the way small business, independent contractors and the self-employed are being treated. I have long said that the way to get ahead and live 'the American dream' is through business ownership. The tax laws are business friendly, there are a tremendous amount of options for how to structure your work and your life. I have also said that it's not for the faint of heart. The situation with Coronavirus, the Paycheck Protection Program and the SBA loans have highlighted what types of businesses are favored. As small business owners are put last in line for aid, struggle to find lenders and are unsure when they will receive money larger businesses are able to apply through their regular banks due to existing relationships. I am rooting for the little guy.
