To continue to looking at your podcast's influence, one measure is to monitor and implement strategies to increase your downloads (or streaming activity, depending on the podcast player app).
With me is Podovox Professional Podcast Services owner Marty Daniels.
Here are some easy ways to increase exposure, and encourage more listeners to your podcast.
Make a Landing Page or Add a Page to your Website: Creating a landing page, which is simply a single web page or adding a page to your website can drive traffic to your podcast. Make sure to include links platforms your podcast is on, like Apple Podcasts, Breaker, Spotify, etc…
Leverage Social Media: Take small audio clips and use video editing software like Headliner to attach the audio to a graphic, created by using a tool like Canva or Stencil, and make a small video to be shared on Instagram stories, Facebook Newsfeed, etc.
Use your email list: Even if your list is small. Inform your subscribers that a new episode of your podcast just dropped. The email doesn’t have to be long and should include links and photos of the most recent podcast episode.
Research Keywords: It is important to leverage keyword research when coming up with your podcast descriptions and titles. Google phrasing. -
Podcast Episode Show Notes - Use all of the landscape you have in your podcast episode show notes - According to Apple, each episode of your podcast can have up to 4,000 characters of associated show notes. You can include a plain text version, an HTML version, or both.
Add a Pop Up to Your Website: invite people to subscribe to your podcast.
Video Record Yourself or Interview to Distribute on YouTube: Just strip the audio from your camera post processed video recording. By distributing to YouTube, you’re opening up the opportunity for your brand to influence a piece of YouTubes massive 2 billion audience.
