Transcripts

Speaker:

I love search because it allows me to help organizations and help people.

Speaker:

When I think about somebody that's right for search, they have a lot of passion to help people.

Speaker:

I've got a lot of passion to connect with people.

Speaker:

Maybe it's someone that they found that they're naturally good at connecting with strangers.

Speaker:

Maybe with somebody when they were a kid thought if I had a job where I could just talk on the phone all day long, I would be happy.

Speaker:

I also think search is significant as an occupation if you desire a high income potential without having to do a lot of postgraduate degree work.

Speaker:

It allows someone to step in and pick up and learn the basics pretty quickly.

Speaker:

Thinking ahead has allowed me to grow as a search professional.

Speaker:

Because of the sense of camaraderie encouragement amongst the staff, there's a fun culture that has a healthy sense of competition.

Speaker:

It's not negative.

Speaker:

We encourage one another.

Speaker:

There's great training provided, especially for first year recruiters.

Speaker:

And then truthfully, my manager is one of the best managers I've ever had in my life.

Speaker:

We all want to help each other succeed.

Speaker:

I think we make an impact in two very distinct ways, especially nonprofit search.

Speaker:

First of all, we are positively impacting mission driven organizations that are helping make the world a better place.

Speaker:

Like we are bringing them the highest caliber talent so that they are better able to accomplish their missions.

Speaker:

And when I look at the organizations that we've had a chance to partner with, have an immense sense of pride, especially as I see them do their work in the world.

Speaker:

That's very meaningful to me.

Speaker:

Secondly, every candidate we work with.

Speaker:

When they accept a new role that we've brought to them, their lives are changed in very practical, tangible ways.

Speaker:

A lot of those people that we've worked with, a job that we've brought to them has gotten them closer to home, closer to family.

Speaker:

Some of them have gotten closer to their core mission.

Speaker:

Like they're now working with an organization that aligns more closely with what they deeply care about in the world.

Speaker:

And most people have taken some sort of meaningful advancement through the jobs that we've brought them.

Speaker:

Maybe especially that means A step up in income bracket, like I can think specifically about two different single moms that I had the opportunity to work with and the job that we brought them was significantly more money than where they were at, which changes the trajectory of their family.

Speaker:

Search is not for everybody.

Speaker:

It's difficult to break into, especially what we call full desk recruiting because you are pursuing new clients and you're also pursuing candidates.

Speaker:

It's people business on both sides and those people can tell, you know, if you have an entrepreneurial mindset, if you have a desire to build a business, but with support structure training, then search and thinking ahead really could be for you.

Speaker:

There's a freedom here.

Speaker:

To build your own personal search practice the way you want to, and you've got the support of your colleagues and your management.

Speaker:

If you genuinely like people, if you have a deep curiosity about human beings and the human story, if you have a passion for helping people, if you've got a passion for creating something that's your own, that's unique, and you've got a desire for.

Speaker:

An unlimited income potential search and thinking ahead could be for you.
