Pastor Kwabena Boakye is a Ghanaian minister and founder of Strings of Prophecy, an interdenominational ministry focused on helping people discover and embrace their identity in Christ.
For more than 23 years, Pastor Kwabena has devoted himself to ministry, with a particular passion for reaching people who are hurting or spiritually broken. His ministry goes beyond preaching the gospel of salvation. He focuses on helping people experience transformation through the Word of God and prayer, while developing emotional strength, stability, and maturity through the work of the Holy Spirit.
His ministry includes campus and youth ministries, conferences, itinerant ministry, and prophetic gatherings. In 2022, he launched Strings of Prophecy after receiving what he described as a clear instruction from God to teach the Church about the prophetic ministry, help people understand its purpose, and minister to them through prophecy.
Pastor Kwabena also holds regular Strings of Prophecy gatherings in Accra and other locations. His ministry is driven by a deep commitment to obedience to God and a desire to help raise others whom God can use for His purposes.
For Pastor Kwabena, ministry has been a journey of faith and dependence on God. Although resources have been one of his greatest challenges, he shares that God has continually provided what he needs to carry out the assignments entrusted to him.
Married with two children, a son and a daughter, Pastor Kwabena continues to pursue his calling with one guiding message: “Focus on what God said, focus on what God is saying, and focus on what God will say.”

Speaker:God chose us to have a conversation with us, his creation.
Speaker:Our prayer is that this listening space brings growth and transforms your life forever.
Speaker:Praise God for you, Pastor Kwabena Nkrumah Kwachi.
Speaker:What is the meaning of your name?
Speaker:So, Kwabena is a name given to the people in Ghana by the Ashanti tribe.
Speaker:And the meaning also given to that is a word in the Ashanti dialect.
Speaker:It's called a Ojam.
Speaker:And Ojam simply means a leader.
Speaker:Kuma is little or junior or small.
Speaker:And then Bwache is a redeemer.
Speaker:So my name literally is a leader who humbles himself to redeem many.
Speaker:I have a hidden name I don't mostly bring to light.
Speaker:It's called Iskra, which also is interpreted as stole.
Speaker:So, my name literally means a leader who humbles himself to redeem souls.
Speaker:Let's say that way.
Speaker:So who gave you your name?
Speaker:Yes, so my father gave me that name.
Speaker:But then along the line, when I started ministry, I realized that I was told a particular line.
Speaker:So I decided to search for the meanings of my name to see how it reflects to what I'm told.
Speaker:And then I came after finding the whole meanings of my name for my father, I realized that it has in a way a reflection on the line I'm told.
Speaker:Which is redeeming souls.
Speaker:Yeah, redeeming souls.
Speaker:So I mostly come to, I meet people.
Speaker:I love meeting people who really need, like, especially, let's say, broken souls.
Speaker:So my desire has not only been on trying to preach the gospel of salvation to people, but rather my desire has been redefining people, making them a new, giving them a new definition in Christ, making them know that this is who they really are.
Speaker:So my, my line, or my, let's say my ministry line doesn't end in just the preaching of the gospel of salvation.
Speaker:I mostly focus on building people's emotions towards Christ through the word of God and prayer, helping them build emotional strength, emotional stability, emotional maturity, of which I believe is the core assignment of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker:The fruits of the Holy Spirit, in a way, reforms and trains our emotions and desires.
Speaker:So I told that line, I helped, by the grace of God, redeem souls from wherever they are, redefine them, and let them know who they are, their identity in Christ.
Speaker:And that's, that's the line I've been towing, by God's grace, for the past 23 years now.
Speaker:I saw your church, pictures of you in your church.
Speaker:And is that church, the church your father led, or is that a church that you built, or someone else built, and you've been leading in there?
Speaker:Okay, so that church is someone else built, by the grace of God.
Speaker:And then I do my ministry, um, let me put it this way, as an interdenominational ministry kind of thing.
Speaker:So I have campus ministries, I have youth ministries, I have conferences, I have itinerants ministry, I move around, and I'll have conferences.
Speaker:So when I come back to my, my, my mother's place, now, my specialty of this, of what I, I serve with, the Baptist Church.
Speaker:So when I go, after everything, I come back home, I settle home, then we serve in the Baptist Church.
Speaker:So the pictures you saw, might be my home church, which is the Baptist Church, or some of my other programs.
Speaker:Okay, with this church, I was intrigued by the decor of the church, the quality of what I saw on the walls in the background.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:Okay, so that is all my programs called Strings of Prophecy.
Speaker:Strings of Prophecy.
Speaker:And that is, that ministry under my, my auspices, which by the special grace of God I have built.
Speaker:Where did the injection of that vision of what you wanted?
Speaker:The Strings of Prophecy.
Speaker:Okay, tell me more about that, please.
Speaker:Okay, so with Strings of Prophecy, that was 2022.
Speaker:Before 2022, I held a particular program called Epignosis, which is, that the, the ultimate idea was that we may know Him, and the power of His resurrection.
Speaker:Not just knowledge, as in, theological knowledge, but that we may experience Him.
Speaker:Without wanting to, I received the instruction on my birthday.
Speaker:So mostly, as for me, my U.S. starts from my birthdays.
Speaker:So coming 8th August is my birthday.
Speaker:And during my birthdays, I locked myself.
Speaker:So 2020, 2021, on my birthday, I locked myself, and I was praying to God for the next chapter of my ministry.
Speaker:And I heard it so clear, Strings of Prophecy.
Speaker:And He said, He gave me specific instructions that I may teach about the prophetic ministry.
Speaker:I should also help the church understand its mind concerning the prophetic ministry, prophesy to the people as well, and then minister to them by the grace of God.
Speaker:So 2022, by the special grace of God, I started Strings of Prophecy in September.
Speaker:And from that time, it's been twice in a year in Accra.
Speaker:Once in a year in Masid, and then once in a year in Gibraltar.
Speaker:So Accra, we have it the second, the first Sunday of January, every year.
Speaker:And then the second one is always on August, which is my birth month.
Speaker:It was August, I received the instruction.
Speaker:So this particular one is coming off on this Friday, and it's going to be an all-night service.
Speaker:So Friday, which is 7th, and it will enter into my birthday, which is 8th.
Speaker:And I'm believing God that by the special grace of God, we'll receive another instruction for that, for the next thing.
Speaker:One thing about me is that every birthday of mine, I don't celebrate like how people celebrate.
Speaker:I commune with God.
Speaker:I can be in the room for the whole day, 24 hours, communing with God until I hear what He wants to do next with me.
Speaker:But my desire is to look out for who God wants to raise again, so that I may be able to become a part of God's instrument to raise that person.
Speaker:What's the biggest challenge with ministry for you?
Speaker:So over the years, I think the biggest challenge with ministry has been, I would say resources.
Speaker:Because for me, when it comes to obedience, by the special grace of God, I've gone through the process of ministry, so I really obey the voice of God.
Speaker:It is God's voice or nothing else.
Speaker:When it comes to people, by the special grace of God, God has trained my heart to understand human character and human behavior, so I don't have much challenge.
Speaker:But when it comes to resources, personally, I don't know how to convince people against their will to support.
Speaker:So when I come, I just open up and say, God is touching your heart to support.
Speaker:So the challenge has been resources.
Speaker:Selling in ministry is tough, right?
Speaker:Selling in ministry is tough.
Speaker:It takes a special anointing to do that, I think.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:And it will surprise you that every program of mine is about 90 to 99% sponsored by myself, by the special grace of God.
Speaker:There's things of prophecy like this, the August coming one, solely sponsored by me.
Speaker:I don't know how to.
Speaker:So I pray to God for grace, in the special grace of God, God grants me grace to financial grace, I do it myself.
Speaker:That has been my challenge.
Speaker:I don't know how to go to people and tell them, I don't know how to.
Speaker:So you're doing something primarily as a job.
Speaker:How are you making money to be able to then sponsor people for this?
Speaker:How does that work?
Speaker:At first, I was teaching, but I am now fully into full time.
Speaker:And that's why I said my obedience in God is absolute, because ever since I decided to work with him, he's never disappointed.
Speaker:Never, never.
Speaker:Anytime I need money or resources for things, and I pray, he in a way provides.
Speaker:Even though that's been a challenge, he in a way provides.
Speaker:But my wife is working, so she works.
Speaker:Okay.
Speaker:I was going to say, how many children do you have?
Speaker:Oh, we do have two children by the special grace of God.
Speaker:Okay.
Speaker:A boy and then a girl.
Speaker:Five years from today, you're listening to this conversation because you picked up the recording, or you press play somewhere on the internet, and you listen to it.
Speaker:What's a message you'd leave for future Pastor Kwabena?
Speaker:The message I'll leave for future Pastor Kwabena is focus, irrespective of what the storm may be.
Speaker:Focus.
Speaker:Focus on what God told you.
Speaker:Don't listen to all voices.
Speaker:Focus.
Speaker:Because consistency will attract bricks to do.
Speaker:Focus.
Speaker:No matter what it is, focus.
Speaker:Focus on what God said.
Speaker:Focus on what God is saying, and focus on what God will say.
Speaker:My friend, this has been a pleasure, one I treasure.
Speaker:Again, thank you for being what has inspired my 12-minute conference.
