Why should you run a giveaway when live streaming?

• Engagement
• Keep people coming back (for a chance to win)
• Incentivizes users to tune in live
• If you have a sponsor, it’s a way for them to contribute
• Strategic moves
• Gaming the algorithm - they like engagement, people tuning in.

Ideas for what to give away

• Do you have a budget for your giveaway?
• 1-on-1 consulting
• Merchandise (t-shirts, sweatshirts, stickers, pillows, hats, pens, mousepad, etc)
• Free products - online course, training, graphic template, worksheet
• Gift cards
• Etc.

• Writing out the names of each entrant - free, time-consuming. Need an assistant.
• Ask a question and the first to answer is the winner - free, but need to find in the comments.

Things to consider when you’re doing a giveaway

• Involve your audience, screenshare the giveaway drawing.
• How often will you run your giveaway?
• Don’t forget to promote your giveaway.
• Let your viewers know there will be a giveaway. It keeps them watching until the very end.
• Be sure you have a way for them to contact you with whatever details are needed for you to fulfill the giveaway. Ex: private Facebook message, custom email address, etc.
• Include a hashtag to track your giveaway winners
