Ron:
When you're in a group of people that have not received the impartation and teaching that we have received, then you become an example. What I'm saying is, without being condescending, but just being real—be yourself. You proclaim the word. You speak the word prophetically, and people will take notice.
Yes, it's different. The spirit of it is different. Even the expression of it is different. I've watched people step back for a second. I've watched people get upset, and I've watched people open up. If they open up, they'll begin to receive the impartation, and they will begin to express their prayers differently than they ever have before.
And it may be slow, little steps—it’s not like boom necessarily—but I've watched people do that. So I know that it's not teaching in a sense. I'm not sitting there saying, “No, that's not the right way to do it. This is the way. This is what the Lord's doing now.” No—you just be what the Lord's doing now, and it imparts if they're open.
Ken:
It's a choice, and you have to be open to make that choice. The Lord has to prepare that heart even before you get there, really, in essence. But the anointing of the Lord will break people open. If they're really seeking the Lord—if they're really wanting a relationship with God—they'll find one if they're truly looking for one.
Debbie:
Before I go to church, before I even walk in, I ask the Lord, “If there's anyone that's open, Lord, show me. Do You want me to talk to someone? Lead me, direct me. Show me what I'm to do and how I'm to respond to them, and how I'm to minister to them.”
Ken:
Once the Holy Spirit breaks through to any degree in a man's spirit, the Lord can speak to him.
You never know what God's going to lead you into. Like you’re talking about, Debbie—I think it's perfect. You go prepared. “Lord, if there's someone here, let me be something to them that opens up their spirit to hear what You're speaking.”
I think the Holy Spirit can minister to a person even when they're angry, even when they're going through something. It could open up their spirit, and they could receive something that would prepare them for the time when Jesus speaks to their hearts.
I truly believe this with all my heart: every person God has ever sent into this world has a hole in their heart without Him, and that hole is waiting to be filled.
Debbie:
But so many people are trying to fill it with every other thing they can come up with. They're trying to fill it with money. They think if they have enough money, they could do anything—go anywhere, be anything, have whatever they want. But like you said, there’s a hole in their heart that’s only going to be filled by the presence of the Lord.
Ken:
There's something that happens when God meets you. I know that all through our lives we have had times when the Lord met us. What we have in Christ is everything we've ever wanted.
Who are the rich people in the world? Are they the ones who have prestige and power or all the money to buy and do whatever they want? I'll tell you—it’s those of us who know the Lord, who are walking with Him, and who know what He’s created us for and what He’s bringing us into.
I tell you, we are living a life of revelation right now.
Mike:
Here's a paradigm shift for you. The Lord walks up to this guy, and He’s got two choices: He can either say, “Your sins are forgiven,” or He could say, “Rise up, you’re healed.”
Christ opened His mouth, and out came healing.
It's like we have to look at ourselves in a different light. We are vessels of healing to people who have open hearts to receive. And it’s how we say it—whether they’ll receive it or not—what kind of spirit we present it with.
Ron:
It's not the words you speak; it's the anointing that's on you. It's the anointing and the Spirit of Christ that people recognize—not so much the deep words or whatever. That's not what changes people.
It’s not your deep revelation—it’s the anointing of Christ, the Spirit of Christ that pierces their hearts to whatever depth.
But see, the thing is, you have to have that first. It has to be in your heart first so that you can actually impart that spirit to someone else.
Ken:
Do we think that's possible—that someone could have that kind of anointing and absolutely speak the word of God, and people would be hit with that Spirit of God coming forth in their own spirit, connecting with them and connecting them to the Lord?
I believe we can actually move into that realm and speak a living word that would cause people to fall on their face.
Debbie:
The Lord's trying to bring us to the revelation and understanding that this is who we are supposed to be. We speak as God would give us utterance.
Mike:
We are working with the Lord. We take the steps, we stand there, we open our mouths, and He comes through—speaking through our mouths His word. We’re just a channel. We’re just that conduit, that vessel filled with His presence.
That’s the part that’s so fun today—we’re experiencing this every time we gather together. That’s why we don’t want to forsake our gathering together, because so much more is accomplished when we do come together.
Ken:
And the interesting part is, as we walk with God, when the Lord speaks and opens the door, there’s a flow of the Holy Spirit. The Lord speaks through us to minister to someone—to love them.
And like Lois says, sometimes you don’t even have to use words. It’s just the Spirit of God that ministers from you.
