Shownotes

You must be mindful to avoid the problem-oriented mindset; instead, strive for the solution-oriented mindset.

The former simply asks why in the face of an obstacle while the latter asks, “What now?” when faced with the same. One spurs action while the other is caught in emotional meandering and fixation. Solutions are a clear point of action while problems are a refusal to move forward.

We often confuse what it actually takes to get us feeling good about action. To be specific, most of us feel that we are seeking out motivation that creates action. But this is wrong and, in fact, in reverse. We will never be able to find a compelling reason or motivation to do things; it is unreliable at best and nonexistent at worst.

So we should be using action itself to create momentum and then motivation.
