Shownotes

In today's episode, Leanne Kanzler talks about the importance of finding ourselves before entering into the dating world after a divorce. Leanne discusses issues from her own experience as well as those of her friends, colleagues, and clients. Leanne is both a psychologist and a coach, working with people moving into the dating world after going through a divorce or a relationship breakup.

We talk about how carrying the anger and issues from the divorce into the dating relationship creates problems, and not being able to let go will limit your ability to find a partner moving forward. We talk about some important tips for having those first dates as a single person, including letting go of talking about the ex. This can take time, and giving yourself space and time to find out who you are after marriage is essential in knowing what you want in your next relationship. Leanne talks about the importance of being a confident, happy, single woman before seeking to be a partner is the best way to ensure you find the right person.

Leanne provides insight as to when to move into the dating game. This includes knowing who you want in a partner and what qualities you want to see in that person and in your life together. It all starts with being happy and complete with who you are before looking for a partner for a serious relationship. Leanne provides some great tips for getting into the online dating world and doing it right!

About the Guest:

Leanne Kanzler is a psychologist and coach, author, and speaker. She is a business owner, wife, and mother.

Leanne believes that we find our true selves through our deepest wounds. Her sense of being disconnected from herself and the world around her drove her to continually self-reflect and grow.

After being in a controlled marriage for twenty years, she took a leap of faith and started to do things for herself, finding herself along the way. This journey led to many realizations, including a beautiful second marriage.

Now, she is passionate about helping others go from Breakup to Breakthrough.

This means discovering your sense of self and what you want for YOU. Self-empowerment is the key to happy relationships and great boundaries.

Leanne knows that by helping both men and women, there is a flow-on effect, where the children and extended family also benefit.
