Shownotes
Today's guest is Ali Cox, founder and CEO of Noble West, a marketing consultancy that specializes in food ingredients, agriculture and the entire agricultural ecosystem. Ali is not your typical CEO – before starting her business career, she won a world championship gold medal and an Olympic silver medal, in rowing. At the time she won it, in 2004, the US had not medaled since 1976 in her event, the women’s 8, and that team’s win launched an era of historic dominance for the US in the event.
In this episode, Ali discusses her transition from a professional athlete to a marketing and advertising professional, the evolution of her leadership style, and her mission-driven approach to improving the food supply chain. The conversation touches on the challenges of leading a remote team, the importance of setting clear expectations, and the significance of building trust within her organization. And since she is an expert in the food I also asked her for some advice for consumers on making informed food choices.
