It's such a great pleasure to connect with you.

What part of the world are you in today, right now?

I'm in London.

We were talking before we got recording and it felt as though you've never met a stranger.

Is that accurate?

That is accurate.

I find a way to connect with people very easily.

I think it's a gift and we aren't strangers.

We are all connected.

Where did that come from though, that ability to do that naturally?

I think it's a gift to actually see people.

Many times we might see them in terms of there's a woman there, there's a child there.

However, to actually look and see the person and to be curious about a person.

And I think it's beautiful.

People love talking about themselves, sharing about themselves.

So I love extracting that and leaving pockets of love wherever I go.

Someone like you who appreciates love on that level, I would see or imagine, is married and has probably seven children by now.

Am I accurate?

Not seven that I birthed and not married in the sense that we know here yet.

However, it's definitely a desire I hold.

I actually have a ministry around this wife in the waiting, which waiting can be really hard.

However, when you understand it from the lens of the Lord, where it's a formation process and I could easily be married if I wanted to, not that people aren't asking.

However, it's alignment for me.

I need to align with someone and be purposeful with the marriage.

So yeah, I'm not yet married.

However, I hope to be so soon.

Tell me about this ministry.

Where did the idea come about that your experience is something that others were having and you can help them with that?

I've always grown up around the beauty of marriage and then reading it in the scriptures too.

I'm like, wow, Lord, like this is beautiful.

I would say the closest relationship we'll have on earth to the covenant relationship we have with God.

So I've always had a respect for that.

And I found myself, I thought I was going to marry the person I was with.

Yet we parted our separate ways because we weren't aligned in the things that really mattered.

Even though they were a beautiful person, we realized we weren't each other's person.

So in that moment, it was like, Lord, you have to form me because the scripture, it says, he who finds a wife finds a good thing and receives favor from the Lord.

So a man doesn't find a woman as a playmate, a date, a girlfriend.

He finds her as a wife.

So my prayer was then, Lord, make me a wife because you're the one that makes me a wife.

Not a man, not a ring, not a wedding.

So I started my formation process.

And as I was seeking the Lord in that area, more and more people were like, how are you so content being single?

How are you making it look fun?

I'd have married women at my church saying, oh, I wish I was single like you and doing all the things that you're doing.

I still have women say that to me that are married, but it was a grace God had given me.

And I didn't see singleness as anything but a privilege to grow my relationship with the Lord and for him to form me to be a wife.

So as I've learned, there's a lot of frustrations in that.

I've since become a psychotherapist also.

So I combine Jesus first and therapy to really help women become content and become a wife before the ring.

When you're working with someone, have you seen an average time that it takes for that person to get to what looks like end of goal?

It depends how we perceive the end of goal, because many would say, well, end of goal is when you're actually a wife.

But we know just because people have a ring on their finger and call themselves wife doesn't make them a godly wife.

I think in the waiting process and whether you're waiting to become a wife or whatever you're waiting for, whatever promise you're waiting for from God, it's about releasing the outcome and living in the now, living in the promise and really minding our beliefs in this season.

So I'm not chasing anything.

I'm not trying to hurry to get married because oftentimes when people do that, they'll then realize that they've made a mistake or they'll have to deal with the consequences.

It's about becoming, becoming aligned, becoming authentically you.

It's about unlearning the patterns that we formed in our mind that no longer serve us and it is the desire we have.

And then relearning the patterns that God created us in.

For example, I didn't think that I was beautiful growing up and I saw the scripture, we're fearfully and wonderfully made.

The scriptures that say, there is no flaw in you, my love, you're beautiful.

And I'm like, Lord, will you call me beautiful?

I must be.

And then I started seeing myself as such.

And then now, you know, if someone compliments me, I'll say, thank you, because I know that that's from the Lord and he's opened my eyes to see the beauty, not just in everyone else, but myself too.

So I don't think there's ever a I've arrived as long as we're alive on earth, we're all continually being formed and we're trusting God in the process.

How did you come to meet Jesus?

I came to know the Lord when I was 22 years old.

I was diagnosed with a skin disease when I was in my early teens.

And I was running to the doctors, like the woman with the issue of blood.

And I remember I was in front of a professor in dermatology, so a skin specialist.

And he looked at me after five years in his care, having given me every drug operation that he could.

I mean, the skin disease prevented me from lifting my arms up high to praise the Lord.

It prevented me from walking some days.

It was over my body.

It was quite difficult to experience, but also to see.

So he looks at me and he said, this is ghastly, I don't know what to do with you.

My heart just crumbled.

I had been running to the doctors, specialists, consultants, professors in London hospital, some of the best in the world.

And they can't even give me a glimmer of hope.

So I fell into a depression and then a chain of events happened.

My mother walked into my room and she said, cousin, do you believe God created you?

And I was like, well, you and dad said I was a surprise child.

So God must've had something to do with it.

And she invited me to church.

And previously I had said, no, no, that's not for me.

That's for you.

Declined church invitations.

However, I needed something.

I needed something greater than myself to pull me out of the pits of hell that I was in.

So I found myself walking up at the altar call, giving my heart to the Lord.

And then he started showing up in miraculous ways that are undeniable.

Five years from today, you're listening to this conversation.

What's a message you leave for future you?

Keep going.

Don't lose heart.

Yes, you might fall down, but get back up.

God's got so many greater things for you.

One word to summarize this conversation.

Becoming.

Can I give one?

Please.

Amplification.

Becoming.

Life is about becoming who God created you to be, which often involves removing the person that you thought you needed to be and seeking the Lord and trusting his process to become that God version of you.

When I think and imagine the pain that you endured and to see what has come from it and know the amplification as a result, where the extremities of the pain and know the extremities of how you are dedicated in terms of your compassion for others, in terms of your drive for doing what you're doing.

Amplification.

You're amplified.

Okay, I'm amplified.

All right.

I receive that.

You're not just doing the daily walk of a relationship with Christ.

Yeah, you're, you're amplified.

And I thank God and pray that it continues.
