Shownotes
When Hope was very young she was scared of food. It made her nervous, and “afraid, for a very long time.” Family meals were dysfunctional; arguments commonplace at the dinner table.
Unable to express herself and hyper-aware of what she looked like, Hope followed diets, counted calories and fought for control by restricting her food.
When she was sexually abused, Hope buried the feeling that there was something “categorically wrong” with her deep within her psyche.
Later, Hope’s anorexia made her feel invincible. Protected. However on holiday with teenage friends, Hope realised no one else was eating or living her way.
Join us to hear about Hope’s new approach to life, recovery and, magnificent, campaign, “Dump The Scales.”
