First disclaimer, it took me a long time to find it. And I scoured the internet for years and I looked and I looked and you know and and frankly I almost gave up because I just didn't think I would ever find it, but I was so determined and I did find it. And price wise it's yes priceless. Priceless. And so I found drumroll please.
(:Hormones a while, but so are we Embracing this journey unapologetically From mood swings to joy, it's all part of the ride in the sisterhood there's nothing to hide. All the links so you have them so you can enjoy them too. We would also love
to hear from you guys. So at the end we're gonna ask you to leave your stuff in the comments as well, all of your favorites, because we're looking for new recommendations as well. So without further ado, let's get going. Ladies, how are you guys today?
gonna assume everybody is fabulous because you all look fabulous. So let's start out with the big one. What is one thing that you ladies are absolutely obsessed with and you cannot live without right now? Let's go through. Lori, why don't you start? Show us your one item.
(:I did not
bring it, but I think you all are gonna know what it looks like. It is drumroll dental floss. I'm obsessed with dental floss. And if you guys have not thought about this You should be obsessed with it too. I'm I'm obsessed. And there is a wide range. I'm not gonna recommend a brand. You have to find what's good for you. But I could not live without dental floss. I love it. I'm obsessed.
(:So good.
Wait, do you like like the pick ones or is it the ones where you wrap it on your fingers?
(:I like the yeah
and it's like like they really like Yeah. Yeah the pixel and too much plastic. I mean the whole thing. Yeah. I I don't you know.
(:Like
When I was in college and I took a class on speech making was it like maybe I gave an entire speech on dental philosophy for a grade in college. You and Really? I'm telling you Lori Garbo
(:I was not and let me say I was not always a flosser. This is not like something I was even raised with. It just it's new ish. I think it's since I've been eating a lot of berries, you know, with the seeds and stuff and Chia seeds and just there's a lot of healthy fibrous food that gets stuck in your teeth.
(:Hmm. Okay, so if I see you two if we see you two flossing each other's teeth on the retreat
(:With each other.
That's
the thing. It it's so rewarding to be able to clean something thoroughly.
(:I love it. Good one. Good one. All right, Dawn, what do you got for us? Or you going Dawn t dental flaws too? This is hard. Okay, what's the category? It's just the thing I can't One thing I can't live without Yes. Anything. Well, mostly my answer would be homeopathy. But you guys hear me say that all the time, so I'm gonna pick a different thing. Okay. Okay and that is Forrest Frank music.
Ohest Frank. Christ Frank is a Christian music artist. I just heard half of our listeners roll their eyes, if you can hear such a thing.
(:Writing it down. Writing it down.
(:But I have all the backstory with like church and it the problems that church brings, right? And I just grew up like immersed in all of that. But Forrest Frank is a younger artist who has really just gone all the way with like reconnecting with I don't know people today, and he makes all these club bangers with all these like massive beat drops, and I like it's like I don't know, Tupac and Amy Grant.
made music. I don't know. What a comma. But I fell in love with him last summer, and we went to his concert a couple of weeks ago in Raleigh, North Carolina.
(:What a combo.
(:He's selling out stadiums. He sold out Madison Square Garden this summer. What sold out the Lenovo in Raleigh? And it was such a show, like my goodness, like just so much energy and so good. And it really is like revitalizing my experience of faith. Does that make sense? Like because of Yeah. It's just a fresh, fresh, fresh take. Yes. And and so we're in this twenty thousand person arena, right? And we're watching the show and it's down to the encore. And if you followed this at all, then the figs are the encore and it's the song Lemonade, and it's like the best.
song ever and you have to just sort of know the backstory but all of a sudden he's about to sing the song Lemonade but he's like missing from the arena and so we're all chanting his name to get him back and he pops over my right shoulder and he's right there. And he walked
(:my god.
(:Yeah, he's he's a lot of fun. But I think you know, it really it is interesting to think about what we listen to all the time and what that does for our mental health, our movement, all of that, right? And it is just it feels very positive, very bespoke for the moment in time and I don't know, it's been helping me have like a fun musical summer and I don't know, be really positive and faithful. I love it. Sounds nice. I love it. Karen, what about you?
Well and I'm I wasn't going to mention this, but since Dawn's talking about music, Joe and I are obsessed currently with yacht rock. But specifically
There is an album that Keith Urban put out that remade all these old songs like from the sev late seventies and it is so good and it's such like chill summer music. I don't know, so so it musically, that's what I'm obsessed with. book wise, I read a great book that I think everyone in this group needs to get their hands on. If you were a woman, this should be like recommended reading. It's called Yesteryear. And I can't remember the name of the author off the top of my head.
But it's essentially about a social media influencer and her whole platform is about this trad wife trend. And but it's completely fake. Like she's got crews of people doing it behind the scenes. And sud somehow she ends up, and you don't know how it happens until the end of the book, she ends up going back in time, like you know, 200 years back in time. And she's trying to get back to her modern life.
And it is a book you will not put down. Like once you start reading you better buckle in.
(:You
better buckle up.
(:You better get a babysitter and
(:Yeah. It's like one of those books. And I hadn't read a book like that in a really long time. But I just devoured it and then by the end of it, all I wanted to do was talk about it with people. Really? There was so much of you know in it about women and the experience of being a woman and the pressures that women feel. it it was fantastic. And it I think it w I wanna say it was like Reese Witherspoon's pick of the month or something. I don't know. It it's been getting a lot of attention. that's
yeah, really, really good book. Yesteryear. Mmm. I love that. I love that. Okay, I'll go next. ooh, if we're all going with a musician, Grant Kenoki, hello.
(:Absolutely.
I'll a plus one to that too. He's so good.
(:Other than
that, my favorite item that I absolutely love, can't live without, is my Wuzu. Now this, it's it's a little fan. I got it at Costco. It's so great. It's like $40, I want to say at Costco. And it does, it's like an oscillating fan, but you can just set it like on your nightstand if you want, because it's just kind of small and it has all the different, you know, stuff that you can do on it, and and it goes faster and lower and whatever. And so I just set it so that it's like Yeah, so at night I'm like
Shhh shhhh like that's because it's just blow music video ready. Blowing me down. Yes, yes. So that is my favorite thing. Woo-zoo from Costco. Juni, what about you? What's your one thing you cannot live without?
(:Well, like I said, air conditioning. my God.
(:You need my word.
(:It's
a hundred degrees. That's like so so boring, but my God, it's I'm I'm alive. You know, it it's it I was thinking about that and what I what I came up with is something I listen to, but it's not music. It's Michael Neal, N E I L L. He like he's in my ear as often as I can get him. And by the way, he has an amazing TED talk. I don't remember I think it's called Why Are You Not Awesomer? But bottom line is it's all about noticing your thoughts. I mean it's it's not anything
New, right? It's like, you know, you know, our thoughts create our reality, our thoughts create our emotions. But he's so funny, he's so real, and he just brings me back. He he he helps me stay on the beam of awareness of how I am creating my life, my reality across the board. So I just found, like I've been listening to his books, I've taken his courses, but I just found that he has a podcast and daily eight eight to ten minute clips of
inspiration and so that that's I just a few days ago. perfect. And he just goes br right there. And like I said, I'll be walking down the road and I am laughing out loud. And it's just it's so good. It's so
(:Yeah,
Love it. Alright, ladies, let's talk about some of our favorite things that are under $25. The best thing that you have bought for under $25. It can be a few things. Let's let's throw out a few fun things for the listeners of things that are under $25. Look in your little Santa sack. I got mine right here. What do you got, Lori?
(:I'm looking at my little my little
What do
you got? I got okay. There's two things under twenty-five dollars here. One is this you I never knew about this. This is a rose colored, sand colored eyeliner for under I never under because I grew up in the eighties, so we put dark eyeliner under our eyes. I didn't understand that this was a possibility. So I wait, let me let me
(:Have you
Who takes that, Lori?
So we put some.
(:Something
can't live without on. Okay. This is makeup forever. But I d I I I have trouble finding this color actually. This is not my favorite brand, but it is a brand that currently carries something like this. But I mean I know I'm stealing this from you, Karen, because you are are a rise lover too, but this is also I I'm obsessed with it and I can't live without it. And it's under $25, I think, for one of these packages.
(:Is that
Machura é.
(:Might
might be a little over twenty five. It's mushroom coffee. It's got adaptogens and mushrooms and it's just like the nicest high. The nicest high and the nicest come down and delightful, delicious, virtuous half the caffeine of coffee. And yeah, Karen taught me two things. Karen taught me to put cinnamon in it and to use the what do you call that thing? An emulsifier? What's that thing called? That froth.
Yeah, they even better.
(:Okay. Don, what about you? Best things under twenty-five dollars. I mean under twenty-five dollars feels hard.
(:She has very fine
fine taste.
(:Things that I use on repeat, right, but something that I reach for often and I keep it in my desk drawer and in my purse and you know what I mean? Like it's everywhere. Yeah. Are these little stress relief candies? Yeah. They're Bach flower essence, little stress relief, and so they're flower essences and you can get in drops, you can get them in little candies. But like if you ever see me taking a candy out of my purse, you know, I'm like
(:my god.
(:That's we see you popping them, we're in trouble, right? Do do they actually
(:Do you find that they're effective and they actually work quickly? Rescue Remedy is like something that's been around for a very long time. And yeah, I get them on cyber subscribe and say we give them to our podcast listeners and the women in our programs, and you know, it's like a little, yeah, it's something I and the other thing I would probably say that's under $25 that's in that realm is a 12-in-one sell salt. and you can there's multiple brands of that, and I don't have one sitting here, but Highlands makes them, like it's a very common brand, right?
And it really helps with mineralization. They're under $25. They dissolve, they go right into the cell. They don't have to be absorbed by your gut. Those are two things that I definitely lean heavily on. Yeah, and keep handing over. Very cool. Amazing. Thank you. Karen, what do got? A couple things under 25. Yeah, so this looks like a mascara, but it is actually for when your roots are coming in and you can't get to your hair appointment. And you just need to like do a little like this.
I I have two, it's so interesting. I am not going gray everywhere. I'm going gray right here. Like I'm convinced if I ever let it go gray, I would be like Cruella de Ville with two. But you know, sometimes I just can't get to my colorist in time and I need to film a video or whatever, and I'll just like touch up with this, and it's amazing. I get it on Amazon. It's I don't know, 16, 17 bucks. so that's been a lifesaver, and it was actually recommended to me.
(:That's right.
(:Buy my hairdresser because I said to her I can't get to you, and you know, and she was like, buy this, it's it's the best way to like extend your your time between appointments. Yeah, I love that because the hairdresser approves of it, right? Because she's like anything that's gonna make her life harder. Yeah, and she and she helped me pick the color because you do have you know, you have to kind of figure out what color you want to. So you have to see what color your root is, which is different from the color on your ends. So so yeah, but once you figure it out, I'm telling I'm never without that. I take it with
(:That just saves you 'cause it means you don't have to get your hair colored at quite as often.
(:Why do I feel like Andrea would be doing the whole thing with it just to save the money? I know it. I couldn't remember the name. It's called Mascagray. That's Masca Gray. Masca Gray.
(:I mean,
(:Mm mm. Love it, love it. All right. I'll go next. I'm gonna stick in kind of the makeup line. Okay, so I have three things. So this little it's called nudes three. Now I always love Urban Decay. Their eyeshadows, they have their nude palette. Yes, it's a knockoff. It's a knockoff. It's by Mr. Ro Miss Yeah, Mr. Rosie. I got it on Amazon for eight dollars as opposed to Urban Decay. Theirs is like forty, I think.
60 really big difference. So $8 works just as great. Love that. My second thing is mascara. It's called My Amazing Lashes. Wow mascara. This is what it looks like with a little thing. I don't know. I've never had one. The what?
The way that the makeup industry has tried to revamp a mascara tube over the last to make me think, wow, and they got me, they got me. But I don't know. This one I feel like I mean it's made my eyelashes like totally pop, just like no other one has. And so I I've been using it for a few years now and I love it. And then my last thing, and this is I think around 17 maybe. My last thing is actually these. It's my foundation that I use. It's called Luminesce, and it's like an airspray type foundation.
So they have a primer that you put on first. This one just kind of you know it hydrates the skin. And then I have two kinds. This is my daily one, but this one I use if I'm gonna be on camera because it's like a full coverage and it's really good. So you just spray it onto your brush, and you have to like y'all hear that? You have to like shake it like it's an airspray. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's of spray or yeah, it's super great. I love it because it's just really like light, and I love that. And you know, it just I don't know it.
doesn't settle like into the fine lines. It just gives me that fresh feeling. So I love this too. So I buy this all the time. They always have some deal of 50 per you know, buy one, get one 50% off and stuff like that. So I get that online at Lumines. That's my makeup.
(:fun.
I'm like taking notes and I'm like, I should have I should have set aside a budget, a financial budget and and a time budget to pursue these ideas. I'm like like, no, I need this and I need this and this is also a good Christmas. We should re-release this at Gift at Gift Shop.
(:Yeah.
Absolutely.
(:The first
one that I I definitely under twenty dollars and and is very boring, but my god, is my thermos. You know, 'cause otherwise I forget to drink and this way I'm like like I always am drinking, especially, you know, during the summer. So that's that. But there's something so cool that I found at my hairdresser, and and as you all know, I friggin' hate going to the salon, but this was cool.
(:True.
(:Does does it okay? It's called a bounce curl. So what this is, and I can't really show you because my hair is done, but maybe I will. So like like it's like it looks like a brush, right? And all it is a brush, looks like a brush. If it quacks like a topic, you go like this, right? But then you turn it. And do you see how it kind of takes it and spaces segments it so that when you do that, and again, I'm totally ruining my hair right now.
(:Quite.
(:Yeah
(:But then when you it doesn't look good just because I just messed it and all that, but but when your hair is wet, it's for curling hair girls. it makes when your hair is wet and you go through your whole head and you do that, you do that. So the curls, yeah, ringlets. Exactly. Instead of kind of trying to do it all at the same time. What's it called? It's called bounce curl, defined edge lift. somebody did it at my hairstylist I was like
(:Mm-hmm.
What
(:Thank
(:got it on Amazon, to be honest. I don't know if it's under twenty, but it's awesome. So curly hair girls.
(:Love, love, love. Alright, let's do something that we are obsessed with in our life. Just straight up obsessed with. Like favorite, favorite thing. Lori.
(:Totally upset.
I I'm having
trouble deciding between two things. Okay. So one thing costs money and one thing is free. And I can't show you either. The thing that costs money is called Unicorn Wellness. And if you go to Unicorn Wellness Studio dot com, a woman named Tandy Guterres, who is a longtime dancer and Pilates instructor, created daily workouts.
And they are and I get bored easily and I'm a brat about exercise, but I follow what she says to do because it makes me feel taller, longer, stronger, more flexible, and just generally spiritually good. I happen to have now met this woman, so I also just personally like her, appreciate her, like what she stands for, trust her. I've never been injured, I've never felt bad about myself doing one of her workouts and she
She combines basically yoga Pilates strength training, right? So you're not getting a cardio. I get my cardio from YouTube, and I I could talk about that a in a different turn, but I get my flexibility toning and strengthening for the most part from her. And it's called Unicorn Wellness, and she calls us unicorns.
(:And we are.
(:I I really, really, really love it. I've been doing it for years. Again, my friend turned me on to it because I looked at her arms and I was like, How you doing that? And I I I still actually I made my husband buy it because he has knee problems and I wanted him to have a good exercise program. He took it one time and he was like, I can't stand it. It's too it's too new agey, it's too like it's too spiritual and I'm like And then I have and stuff.
(:That's clever.
That's like Karen's habit stacking with her eye jellies under while she's doing her weightlifting, right? Like stacking your spirituality into your fitness. I really
(:It's stacking. Okay, and the other thing, what it's things I'm totally obsessed with. I think you guys know this, but I'll tell everybody. Spreadsheets. I freaking I love spreadsheets. A way to organize information so that people can see it and make sense of it. And it's totally free.
(:And they're free, y'all.
(:Spreadsheets. Not every aspect, but a lot of spreadsheets. They're very helpful for vacation planning, for you know, for anywhere where you have to collaborate with other people, party planning. I really like a good s way to obviously tracking data, you know, that's like the obvious use of the spreadsheet. Or you know creating creating content. You know, there's tons of business applications. But okay. Those are things I am currently obsessed with. Love
(:Dawn. What do you got done? okay, I'm gonna have two things also. And one is like you're s y if you've heard me say it once, you've heard it a million times, but I am just obsessed with homeopathy. Like obsessed.
(:I can't I just have
(:Slaying around.
(:and I just love reading them.
it is a complete medicine and the results that the people in the world get from it to recover their autoimmune, their trauma, their cancer. I don't know, name the thing. And it's just such a gift to be able to use it with myself and my family and the things that it's allowed me to live into that I just I thought I was gonna die young. I thought all the things, right? Like just thought I was doomed, you know? And then the results that I help other people get. I'm just obsessed with it and it
(:Okay.
(:It's hard not to be. John, what is the book that you taught? Because I was obsessed with the book you had me read about homeopathy. What was the name of the book? The little
It was written by a woman. It was about her own experience. The Impossible Cure. I literally have a case of them sitting here. The Impossible Cure by Amy Lampe. Yes, because I've written my name in Florida in them and I just started handing them out to people. Yeah, The Impossible Cure, she's a double PhD NASA physicist or whatever, and her son's autism was cured with basically one or two homeopathic remedies. And she was like, This can't be what's doing it, and so she set up
(:What's the right one?
(:a double blind study to try to disprove it and then ended up you know being
And the book was one that I couldn't put down. Like it was a good read, apart from the fact that it was very rich in information. It was also just a really great read and a and a good introduction to homeopathy. So yeah, I loved it. Yeah. The second thing that I am completely obsessed with right now, and contextually, it's because I just came off of a retreat with the women in our 12 month program that who are recovering from divorce, called a different D word. This is our destiny group.
Of women, and I am obsessed right now with women supporting women. That's what's here, the six of us. God bless Ozzy, she's not with us this morning.
(:But
(:I just spent, you know, three full days with my team of women, with this group of women, and we laughed hysterically, we cried hysterically, we danced our booties to booty shaking music. We you know, you name it and it's just so healing and good and amazing and you know, I I I just think it's something I've I think even astrologically really called into my life the last couple of years and it is such a gift, right? Women
truly deeply supported and seeing other world. Yeah. Yep. Love it. Thank y'all. Yes, yes. Get the concrete. Karen Karen. What do you got? Lately I am have been thrown into an obsession with Instagram. I had a post go via.
(:Well
(:It's obsessed with you.
(:But
you know what? It was the first time in this last couple of weeks since that post went viral.
That my account has had a sense of community. Like people the comments, people DMing me. Instagram up until this experience felt like like the users were far away from me. And I think this was the first time that I started to feel like people were in my community and I was interacting with them in a very different energy. And it's been super exciting and motivating, and it just has reinvigorated.
(:They
(:But it's not amazing.
(:Very
exciting. Yes. What's that? at Welligant Woman. yeah, so that's so that's been one obsession. And my other obsession is AI, but like in a I I never I I
(:What's your handle?
(:I was never someone who was resistant to AI, but I'm never an early adopter of these things. I think tech is just always a little intimidating and so I like for other people to go first and then show me how to do it. but with AI I I find I'm using it like for things like meal planning, you know, planning workouts. and like there are so many I I did my color analysis. By the way, did you notice I have a new shade of pink ladies? Love. Love it. It looks beautiful on you. My new colors.
(:It is lovely.
(:You know, I'm having fun like finding the ways that I can use AI in just my day-to-day life to support me. I feel sometimes like I have a little personal assistant and and it's nice, you know, to have that. And even Dawn, you know, with homeopathy, right? Like sometimes you'll tell me to take a remedy and I'm like super curious and I'll get on and just do like a basic search of what it is. Like it's it's just I I do feel like it's has saved me time. It it was an investment of time on the front end to kind of learn it.
(:Yeah.
(:But now that I'm a little more adept at it, I'm having fun finding ways that it can support me, you know, day to day. That's so good. I think that with AI it's interesting because once you tap into something that you didn't know it could do, it it's like it opens up this whole avenue of all these other things. And I love the funniest part now, I find myself really chatting with chat, like he's my buddy or my assistant, right? Like I'm like, Chat, you won't believe what happened today.
But I think there's a new boy in town, and his name is Claude, and I'm just like learning a little bit about Claude. Yeah. I save Claude for my really smart stuff. Like Claude's handling my my shoulder injury. When you just want a good time to go to chat. Yeah, Claude's a little smarter than chat. I don't know.
(:Yeah.
I think chat really just knows me so well and is really there for me in my heart. You know Claude is great, but you know.
(:That's
funny, that's funny. All right, I'm still on the items thing. So I'm gonna show my two favorite items. Number one, it's not what you think it is, ladies. I know what you expect from me. What's your brand? It's an auto curling iron.
(:What is a girl?
(:It's called Timo, T Y O. You can get it at I think Timo.com, but you can also get it on Amazon. I think at Christmas they had, you know, better sales, so I got it there. It is the fastest curling iron. It heats up within it's gotta be 30 seconds. I don't know. And then when you do it, you just like take your hair, I don't have it plugged in, dang it. I should have plugged it in. But you just put your hair in this little section and you hit the button and it does the little ringlet for it, and you pull it out. Never you get stuck, never, you know, nothing.
And I can do my Yeah, no, there's nothing like that. And it's awesome. It's so simple and easy to use. And I absolutely
(:Smoke. I remember the old ones.
Yeah,
I never thought of it. I'm so bad at the grilling iron. That's
(:yeah, you should definitely try that. Never this one I've never seen it smoke I don't see you know, it doesn't do any of that. So that's amazing. Yes. I am liter legit terrified. And my hair has always been so thin, also almost couldn't tolerate that level of heater style. Now I know what Christmas gifts are this year for you ladies. Right now.
(:Really? See I've never
I wanna make my list right now before I forget.
(:This is my second thing. It's my Ember mug. If y'all have used an Ember mug, they make knockoffs everywhere. Amazon, just your heated mug. It is a game changer for me. I never really liked coffee all that much before, but this, yeah, it's I set it on my desk. Guys! It's got a really plate that it connects to and it keeps your coffee hot.
(:Wait.
(:All day long. All day long. Like really flat though. Like I keep the temperature. There's an app. So you set the temperature to what you wanted. The Ember app. I know. I know. It's amazing. And my son got me one for for Christmas, like two years ago, and I used it till that thing was and I said to him this year, he's for Mother's Day, I said, I need a new ember mug. And he said, Okay, but I was gonna get you three months
Would you rather like Ember mug. Ember mug. Ember mug.
(:And Burmont my god, that's awesome that I got for c for
(:Mother's Day from my knockoff. So you like it's just the plate warmer and you can set your own mug on it. You can do that. But like I like this one because it connects to it and it you can do it on the app and set it to whatever temperature you want it to be. So I I love my stuff hot. It's perfect. It's perfect. Juni, what are you absolutely obsessed with today? Your most favorite.
(:See they do that.
Absolutely obsessed with today. Yes. Okay, well, first disclaimer, it took me a long time to find it. And I scoured the internet for years. And I looked and I looked and you know and and frankly I almost gave up because I just didn't think I would ever find it, but I was so determined. And I did find it. And
Price-wise, it's priceless. Priceless. And so I found drumroll please. Drum roll please. Drum roll please.
(:Let me add it. Hold on, let me add it. Online. I looked.
(:Da da!
I found he was not on Amazon. He was on
(:And
(:Thank
you.
(:Really
(:The reason I'm obsessed in my true it's
like like this is something that means so much to me. I have a great life but I really wanted to share it with someone and that's what I do. I help women find their person. But at the end of the day, it took a while. It took a while, but I was determined and I got to a place where I was so clear about what I wanted. Like you needed the curling iron and you needed the great floss and you needed the the coffee thing and all that stuff. It's like like and it's not like I even needed it. It was just something that I knew would enhance my life and
Yeah. And so I encourage everybody to to keep on going and and doing their search, you know. What you know, for the for the dating chops and strategies you got Lori. And for me, I help you really get set ready to go so that you can actually find your person. so I'm having a blast this summer and I'm obsessed with my life, really.
(:That's
amazing. Amazing. And to the listeners, Michael will not be in the show notes, right? And just speaking to her. Right.
(:He's he's taken. He's taken.
(:He's
taken off the market. Off the market. Yay. We are really, really happy for you, Juni. That's exciting. Anybody have just some let's throw some random stuff out there. Does anybody have like a fashion product that you just absolutely love right now? It could be a hat or a certain scarf or a shirt. Anything like that? Anybody's really obsessed with
(:All right, what about does anyone?
I hear
if anyone has a bra they're obsessed with because I'm this not obsessed with any bras that exist. Let me someone in the comments please
(:Ooh.
I do actually
have a couple of really great bras that believe it or not are on Amazon, but you know, I'm I'm also like an A cup. Right. So it's it it's hard for me to recommend it because I don't need the same level of support that you know, so I
(:So it's
I need
support.
(:Yeah, I do too. You know what I did find that was that was pretty cool. I was at the beach this weekend and I love to obviously cover myself, right? I always have a sun hat, but it I I never know like I have a ponytail and then I have to take it out to put the hat on. The hair is always an issue. But I found one of these visors. It's a straw, a big straw visor that that snaps in the back so you can actually size it to exactly your head size. And then I could put my hair up on top.
It's like it was so convenient not to have to be changing my hair if I wanted to go in the water and then if I wanted to come out. Like I just had my hair up in a top knot. I could put the visor on, I could take it off when I wanted to go in the water. It was super convenient. Good option, yeah.
(:Mm-hmm.
So
As a girl with ample thighs, the last thing I was ample thighs. Ample thighs. there's nothing worse than wearing a sundress and getting chafed or sweating or all all the stuff, right? And what I've been doing for years is, you know, wearing the short gym stretchy things, you know. And that was fine, but they're hot and they're not meant for that. And I don't know what the product is and I can find it, but you do the search. It's this really it's almost like pantyhose.
It's a very, very thin material that breathes and does the job. And I I was out yesterday with a dress, didn't know they were there and it was it was wonderful. yeah, that's that's the old fashioned thing. Are they bears right there, but they're too far for me to grab. Yeah, they're like pant panty hose shorts. But they're so I guess if you were to look up, you know
(:Like a short.
(:what you know, shorts to wear under dresses that are maybe like a the spanks but thinner. It it's not a lot of pull in, you know, it's not like spanks at all. It's so comfortable I didn't even know they were there. But I I it it I didn't I wasn't hot. And I didn't feel like I was wearing two outfits because that's kinda how it felt. It was like I'm wearing shorts and then I'm wearing, you know, that's it's it's sort of like the bra thing. But you know the other thing I'm obsessed with right now I'm gonna and I'm gonna show everybody is no bra.
(:Yeah.
No
(:The no bra! The no-bra summer. I actually went out for coffee earlier and I had a a sundress on and I'm like, I'm not wearing a bra. And she felt so good. If somebody has a problem, deal with it. And I again ample boobs. That would be a game changer for me. That would be But they sweat. You know, underneath they sweat. That's that's what I don't like. Yeah.
(:I mean
Yeah.
Mine too. Like
I tried this new bra recently called Booty B O O D Y and I like wanted it to be so cute and it is comfortable and it's lovely. But I have these. And then I put them under a shirt and then it feels like the shape isn't right. Right? Like
(:you
(:Right. Shape is an issue for my entire
torso if I don't shape them.
(:100% and I have a short torso. I have the longest legs in the world. I'm like a torso. I have the shortest torso in its own. Okay, we need an episode on that. You know, I have to be using the
I know. I've been using this new body skincare product called IOTA IOTA. And I am pretty obsessed with it. It's got like well, you could probably do a multiple step process, but I've been using like a serum for my skin and then a lotion and then there's an oil and I don't always use all three every night because that is a lot.
(:Mm-mm.
(:skincare,
right, with products that actually make a difference and feel good and aren't super greasy like 'cause then you put it all on and then I put pajamas on and then when you use the oil based things and all your clothes and your sheets smell weird and yeah, so I've been loving iota.
(:know, as
we're talking, I'm thinking we're doing a whole episode on all these things and almost none of them pertain to men. Like men just put on the t shirt and the shorts and they don't worry about the chafing. They don't worry about their skin. I mean maybe something. Yeah. Or the curling iron or or how's the how are they I mean, by God, thank thank God. Men do love this though. Yeah. Love this and they love loss. Loss, right. Thank God for that.
(:Yeah.
(:Okay.
(:Yes,
yes. Okay. I'll go next. I love one of my favorite things. I wear these all the time, oddly, and some might think I look homeless at times, but that's not the exactly what I'm going for. But my fingerless gloves. I'm obsessed with them. I have like
(:Spreadsheet.
Yeah, you love those. You
gotta create a line.
(:It's coming.
It's coming. So I've already kind of secured with somebody who's going to help me create a prototype of the ones that I picture in my mind. because these are like, you know, warm and fuzzy. And I started wearing them because, you know, when you're sitting at home and it's cold in the house sometimes, and I'm like, my gosh, it's freezing. And I put them on and I can still type. And I'm jumping away. And I'm like, but it's
(:Sitting at the
What on Andrew
Right.
(:off
and then I started wearing them just out with like different outfits and people would be like cool gloves or I like your style and I was like my god I don't look homeless and so I loved that and so I decided I am gonna create my own line on that which I'm super super excited about that's very
(:See I
see it for you. I see lace a little more a little more like
(:I see.
Like
upscale, like I want like a really soft leather with some kind of design on it that you could wear with like a beautiful like leather jacket and a like a pencil skirt or something. Like that's how I I picture it. So we'll see how that comes out. Nice. That's getting started. My other thing is these glasses, they are by this company called Look Optic. I'm just gonna show the box. Look optic. I found them online and they are now these are progressives, so cause I have a hard time with, yeah, like my I wear my reading glasses.
I'm always taking them off and on, off and on, right? And then so I'm like, and then when I drive, I can see out, but I can't see the little navigation map. So it's very struggly, right? So they do progressives where the top is, you know, clear for you to see out, and then the bottom is whatever your reading lens is or your magnification. And so what I love about them because they are so good with as a company, like they sent me these glasses. Okay, so these are these are sunglasses. You can even get like sunglasses, and I was like, These are those are progressive.
So these are progressives. Yeah, they're progressives. Ordered a couple pairs. They've all of these different styles. You pick your magnification on them. You can do regular glasses or sunglasses. And
(:So I ordered
(:What I love is that they reached out to me and said, How did you love your glasses? And I'm like, I don't know, I think the magnification's off or the lens was too big or the frame, I mean, and they they were like, Well tr they just sent me out like another pair, no charge. They didn't even charge me for They just sent them out to me because they give you a ninety day trial on They sent them out and they're like, try those for a few weeks, see how you like And I ended up like I w returned two pairs and they try to go, you know, hey, we'll give you double the money in credit if you want to pick out another pair.
(:Yeah.
(:They're just really great, their customer service is awesome, and I I absolutely love them. So look optic, that's what I was using.
(:I want to
plug like I was using my drugstore readers and I finally went and got real prescription readers and I was much happier.
(:You did. Did you notice the huge difference?
(:Course.
It's just a higher quality set of pair of glasses. Like scratch like the readers I've left through how and it's not plastic. I don't know what the difference I'm sure an expert can explain like what's going But thank you. And and you know, I love these places because they have a million different options obviously and you pick the one you like the best. Well worth the money. I have readers everywhere in case I need you know, like just cause in every room because you know you need but for like working.
(:And it's not
You deserve
it. Good classes. Yeah. I love that. I love that. All right. And I got
(:Yeah.
Progressive
sunglasses, Andrea, but I'm afraid to use because I've never learned how to use progressive sunglasses.
(:No, they're scary, right?
whole head, not
just your eyes to do so, like move your whole head. So and yeah, and you want to test it so you look at something, you know, straight out with the the regular lens and then you have your book and you slowly go down with your head and then you keep y that's how you get adjusted to them. You kinda go up and
(:Your head.
Takes about a week
or two your brain to settle in. It's it's amazing.
(:Mm-hmm.
But yeah, but big big deal 'cause I like to watch TV and I'm always like grandma with them down here trying to look, you know. Yeah, yeah.
(:These are such menopause love lounge topics. I t like
(:my gosh. my gosh.
Alright, ladies, let's finish this up. Let's just throw out a couple last really fun items of like something, you know, maybe a snack or a supplement or something. Just let's throw out a little fun, a couple fun things, and then we'll wind this up. Anybody want me to start? I'll start because I love these candies. And I get these at treatment too. Chocolate-covered gummy bears. my god.
(:my god.
That sounds scary. Like I can't have that in my house. She has that in our house.
(:Trader Joe's. I don't know.
The other thing, yeah, these Scandinavian swimmers from Trader Joe's. Also, my god, I could just take like five and eat them watching a movie, and they are the absolute best. Such a good flavor. Yeah, I know. I know. It's funny. I could leave candy sitting in my fridge for it could be the in there of year. I'm just like a little bit at a time and I'm good. So very easy I know. Moderation.
(:He's obsessed with it.
(:I'm grateful for moderation. The thing I eat every single day is a protein shake with organized organ meat protein powder. O R G A N I D organized. It has all of the minerals and the nutrients and the micronutrients and it's whole food protein powder.
(:Only protein powder.
(:Throw it out. Dawn
Ten. Dawn Ten? Dawn Ten. Dawn Ten. Dear Divorce Diary. Dear Divorce Diary. That's the answer. Dear Divorce Diary. We'll put it in the show notes. Yeah. Yes, yeah. It's just such a literal like food replacement every single day.
(:Wow.
Yep. It sounds like it would taste icky though. No, I was just gonna say, no listen, I'm just wanna put this out there. Only protein powder my daughter will eat because she says it doesn't taste like anything. I'm just saying. It might not be true for everybody, but that's what she
(:not
be true for everybody. I think y you gotta work with it, right? But we make it like you know, you can make it however you want to make it. My girlfriend, she makes it green. She puts like, you know, whatever green powder and she makes it with coconut water and all this type of way, right? We make a very straight up and down, like strawberry, banana, peanut butter, a little cinnamon, and it's delicious. But my kid eats it every day too. It's really helped me sort of like needing to, you know, mom brain like track like what has been her nutrition today. Did she eat too much macaroni and cheese? I don't care because every morning she drinks.
(:It's insurance. Yeah, you get to cover the bases. That's nice.
(:Yeah. Okay.
Love it. Love it. Karen, Lori, Juni, any little snack, treat you guys love?
(:You know, I I I'm like think sorry.
(:Sorry.
(:No, I was gonna say I love drinks. I love drinks and and yeah, you know, I'm I'm very conscious of what I'm putting in my body and it's really simple and it's so good. It's like like lemons squeezed, like duh, right? With some some ice and then some stevia drops. You know, some pure stevia drops. It's so refreshing. It's what's in here right now. You know? and I feel like it's a treat 'cause it has a little sweetness to it because of the stevia, but it feels really clean and and it's you know.
Yeah.
(:Love
it. Perfect.
(:Lemon is just rushing. Lemon
makes beer palatable. Yes. That I don't think. I'll never drink beer, but it's you know, lemon. Sounds good. Lemon is good. Sounds good.
(:Ha ha ha.
Yeah.
Parents
I well I'm just a I just chocolate is my thing. Chocolate is I love chocolate and actually you you mentioned Trader Joe's, they have the best dark chocolate peanut butter cups. I don't buy them because I have zero control.
(:Yeah.
(:Going in there now.
(:try not to eat a ton of it. I really I you know I I try to be good about just having one little square but you know I would give up alcohol and and a whole load of things before I would give up my chocolates. Would you give up Joe's would you give up Joe's chocolate
(:Depends on the day.
Together then episode
(:Our man
for the story.
(:Yeah.
All right. I
do want to plug two more things and they're not food. One is so I believe that we should be lifting heavy things. I'm sure you guys all agree we should be lifting heavy things. And my hack is I ask YouTube for a whatever workout I want. Arms, legs, full body, dumbbells, twenty minutes, thirty minutes, whatever it is. But I'm currently obsessed with Nourish Move Love, which is this annoyingly young woman.
I probably should have gone fifty and above, but but but now I'm upset the pieces.
being honest, right? She does these perfect twenty minute, you know, dumbbell workouts all standing, no repeats, you know, the whole thing. So I'm obsessed with that for my f further for my, you know, for my muscle building. Yeah. And then I'm gonna plug voice notes. I've been converting people. A client converted me to voice notes. I am now try I've hopefully I've converted you all. I think I'm certainly I'm actually not even sure what you mean by voice notes. What do you mean
(:Yeah.
(:instead of texting. You know, I used to call people and leave a message on their phone voicemail. That's how old I am.
(:Hello.
(:Or they're answering the shoe. That's really how old I am. And I still really like getting a message or sending a message. And I feel that texting both my hands don't like it and also I just don't think it communicates tone. Yeah. And so to to me that's like an interim way to communicate asynchronously with the people that you love or work with. That is like a a game changer. And really into it and maybe even a little bit.
(:Mm.
(:Yeah.
(:Mmm, all right. All good things. I love all of this. And I think before we finish out, we all gotta plug at least something that we are all obsessed with, which for me, I'll start it out. I'm obsessed with my other podcast from Mrs. Temiz. I talk all about dating after heartbreak, tragedy, and divorce and just finding yourself again. Who else has one that they want to talk about? Lori.
(:Heart.
Like a personal plug. Like a personal plug. Your plug for your personal plug, girl. I just revamped my Are You Ready to Date quiz on my website, LoriGerbert.com. It is shorter and more incisive and has better follow-up. So Laurie Gerbert.com, you can take your quick little quiz there and find out if you are in fact ready.
(:Yeah.
Mm.
Okay.
Love
that. So good. Karen, do you have one you want to plug today as your favorite? I'm gonna say check out Welligant Woman on Instagram because it's going to be an exciting summer of building this community and doing some fun stuff for the fall. So so yeah, that's a that's a fun spot right now. Yes it is. Juni Moon. I'm so proud of you. I know. We are it's
(:So exciting.
It's so exciting. so other than being obsessed about the Menopause Love Lounge, which I am and I don't know when this is going to be released, so if it's still live, it'll be very cool. I just got accepted or we just got accepted in this contest of America's Favorite Couple contest.
(:And
Very, very
Yeah. What?
(:Yeah, so voting voting is gonna be starting next week. It goes, I think, for a few weeks. the winner gets to ha well, it's it's Mary Steinbergen. I'm not saying no if I'm saying her name right. Ted Steinbergen, Ted Danson, Jeff Goldblum and his wife who I don't know her name, I'm sorry. anyway, they d I think they did it last year. I had didn't do that much research, but bottom line is we're in the running and if we win we get to have
(:Yeah.
(:Dinner with the gold blooms, get twenty K and God knows what. So it's gonna be fun just promoting it.
(:Yes.
Love that. Let us know when we can vote. Don, what do you
(:I'll
let you know.
(:Thank
(:Yeah. So Dear Divorce Diary Podcast, of course, right? Of course. All things all things transforming our life post divorce. yes. And you know, if you feel like gosh, this still thing is still taking me out, I should be further along than this. Why am I still spiralling? Like I'm trying to show the world I'm fine, but I'm not fine on the inside. And I've tried all the things and I've tried healing all the ways and I still feel like a mess. Like Deer Divorce Diary, that's your spot. Perfect. We will have all of
(:Yeah.
(:This stuff in the show notes. that was so fun. I actually really love that. I love a lot in there. Yes. Okay, so to all the listeners out there, your homework is simple. We have shared our favorite things. Now it's your turn. What's one thing you cannot live with right now? You guys, you can email us at put it out there. Menopauselovelounge at gmail.com. You can find us anywhere at Menopause Love Lounge and let us know what that one thing is. It could be anything, a beauty product, a TV show, your favorite trade.

(:Bye!
