Paul doesn’t pretend the pressure wasn’t heavy. It WAS a lot. It was beyond their own strength—but the pressure taught them not to rely on themselves, but on the God who raises the dead.

And verse 10 gives the progression:

He delivered us.

He does deliver us.

He will still deliver us.
