In this episode of Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast, T.S. Wright welcomes Reverend Kevin T. Taylor—affectionately known as “RevKev”—for a conversation about calling, leadership, change, and spiritual reinvention.
Rev. Taylor shares how God shaped his journey from growing up in the church and accepting the call to preach at seventeen to serving as both a pastor and a corporate executive. These two worlds became the foundation for his book, A Charge to Keep: Immutable Leadership Lessons from the C-Suite to the Pulpit.
Drawing from lived experience, Rev. Taylor explains why reaching a position of leadership can be easier than remaining faithful and effective once you are there. He also discusses the loneliness leaders experience, the importance of documenting decisions, and the wisdom of casting vision generously while budgeting conservatively.
The conversation explores how leaders can guide people through change without becoming discouraged by resistance. Rev. Taylor explains that opposition does not necessarily mean the vision is wrong—people may simply be grieving what was as they prepare to embrace what will be.
