Transcripts

Unknown:

Hello, hello, and welcome to the Borealis

Unknown:

experience. I'm your host Aurora. And I'm very happy to be

Unknown:

spending some time with you today.

Unknown:

Especially on a day where you feel exhausted.

Unknown:

Maybe you feel good today. And you're listening to this

Unknown:

episodes, or this one here, especially to be more resilient

Unknown:

in the future and to know how to connect back to yourself, how to

Unknown:

recharge your batteries.

Unknown:

But maybe you're having a really crappy day.

Unknown:

Maybe you feel upset, or maybe life is just not running

Unknown:

smoothly for you at the moment.

Unknown:

Maybe you spend too much time on social media, on your computer,

Unknown:

and you just can't stop it, you can come up with the discipline

Unknown:

that it takes to stay away from social media a little bit. I

Unknown:

know that feeling all too well. And trust me, I'm the biggest

Unknown:

social media fan. I love it. I love how you can connect with

Unknown:

people from all over the world.

Unknown:

But it can be very draining. And today's message, I think is

Unknown:

first and foremost for your mind for your relaxation. But your

Unknown:

body also plays a huge role when it comes to feeling exhausted.

Unknown:

Your body communicates to your brain how you feel. It is not

Unknown:

only your brain and what you consume, and how you feel about

Unknown:

it, that makes you feel how you feel

Unknown:

it is your body

Unknown:

is your body dehydrated, is your body hungry is your body in a

Unknown:

position that that it doesn't like it will communicate to you

Unknown:

discomfort. And when you ignore it for too long, the signals

Unknown:

will get louder and louder and more uncomfortable until you

Unknown:

react to it. I'm a person for instance, if I go too long

Unknown:

without food, I go and get super hangry. So hangry ness is the

Unknown:

body

Unknown:

throwing hormones and all kinds of signals red flags into your

Unknown:

bloodstream. And those communicate to your brain, hey,

Unknown:

stress, react, change something, in this case, eat.

Unknown:

You know these pictures all too well of people looking down at

Unknown:

their phone, instead of communicating with their wife or

Unknown:

the person waiting for the bus. Looking down at your phone, that

Unknown:

posture is so so bad for your overall mental health.

Unknown:

an upright body position, a proud body per position makes

Unknown:

you feel good, your body can inhale and exhale freely, and

Unknown:

you can move your joints freely. As soon as you slouch, the

Unknown:

breathing gets shallow, and the body is in a position that

Unknown:

communicates to you that you are sad and tired and exhausted. So

Unknown:

not only the overstimulation of social media or the internet can

Unknown:

tire you out and always having to have an opinion and always

Unknown:

having to have a judgement is tiring. But your body position.

Unknown:

And then imagine

Unknown:

on Saturday, you feel exhausted from your work week. And it was

Unknown:

not really physical week, it was just mentally very draining, yet

Unknown:

you feel physically drained as well. And then you just decide

Unknown:

to stay on the couch for the whole weekend. Because you feel

Unknown:

tired, but that tiredness comes from your brain and sometimes

Unknown:

even under stimulation, it is not a real tiredness of your

Unknown:

physique. So sometimes we have to overcome we have to observe a

Unknown:

little closer and be aware that this tiredness can be countered

Unknown:

with exercising or just going for a walk and have some fresh

Unknown:

air.

Unknown:

So for today, for when we feel exhausted already, what can we

Unknown:

do? We can just sit down in a comfortable seat or you lay down

Unknown:

on your mat on your floor.

Unknown:

If you choose to sit down, cross your legs in front of you shift

Unknown:

your pelvis. If you set bonds on the ground, right, shift your

Unknown:

pelvis that you have a little bit of an arch in your lumbar

Unknown:

spine.

Unknown:

roll your shoulders up and back.

Unknown:

Tuck your chin slightly to elongate your neck, and close

Unknown:

your eyes. If you choose to lay down,

Unknown:

heavy legs a little bit spread apart and your feet kind of

Unknown:

flopping open to the side.

Unknown:

So your feet are opening up to the sky.

Unknown:

And your hands, your arms are a little bit spread apart from

Unknown:

your body, and you have your pants opening up to the sky. And

Unknown:

now you let your head, your shoulders, your pelvis and your

Unknown:

heels. sink in heavily into the mat.

Unknown:

Beautiful. Now close your eyes if you feel like it today.

Unknown:

Take a deep inhale through your nose.

Unknown:

And exhale through your mouth.

Unknown:

Inhale

Unknown:

and exhale.

Unknown:

Beautiful.

Unknown:

And now feel how restoring it feels to be in those two

Unknown:

different positions.

Unknown:

You're all by yourself. Or maybe you chose to do that meditation

Unknown:

with a friend or a relative today you are at peace.

Unknown:

It is quiet around you.

Unknown:

If there is noise as just try to focus in on your breath.

Unknown:

Beautiful.

Unknown:

Know that we live in a very fast paced society.

Unknown:

And I think no matter where you live on this planet Earth,

Unknown:

life is becoming faster and faster.

Unknown:

And we're not necessarily made to keep up with that speed.

Unknown:

Sometimes we can sometimes it feels even effortless.

Unknown:

But sometimes it's just not rolling, right? It's just

Unknown:

too much.

Unknown:

Maybe you're a young parent,

Unknown:

maybe your children always want something from you.

Unknown:

You have a hard time to be a caring wife at the same time.

Unknown:

Maybe COVID struggle is still affecting your finances and your

Unknown:

overall well being.

Unknown:

It doesn't really matter

Unknown:

who you are, excuse me, and in which situation you find

Unknown:

yourself.

Unknown:

Because we're all in that state of mind at times.

Unknown:

The difference between people is how they deal with those

Unknown:

feelings, feelings of exhaustion. Do you keep pushing

Unknown:

through? Or do you allow yourself to rest? Do you set

Unknown:

firm boundaries with others, especially the people that you

Unknown:

love to take care of yourself.

Unknown:

And by setting boundaries and by taking care of yourself, I don't

Unknown:

mean locking yourself up in the bathroom. But this can be an

Unknown:

option at times.

Unknown:

Sometimes I do that. I just take my sweet time and the bathroom,

Unknown:

doing nothing.

Unknown:

washing my hands, my face, being really present with myself.

Unknown:

looking into my eyes, and knowing

Unknown:

and everything was fine, everything will be fine. So you

Unknown:

have these little moments in your daily life where you can

Unknown:

just sneak in a little meditation or sneak in a little

Unknown:

self love, practice.

Unknown:

Practice where you praise yourself, where you embrace

Unknown:

yourself, where you let go of regrets and pain, where you let

Unknown:

go of shame where you let go of judgment and having an opinion

Unknown:

at all times.

Unknown:

You can just be and breathe, and experience and feel.

Unknown:

Maybe you are running around and trying to fix and trying to

Unknown:

accomplish things, maybe you're that kind of person, then of

Unknown:

course, it is exhausting. But maybe you're fighting depression

Unknown:

and maybe you're sitting at home and not doing much, really. But

Unknown:

that can be very exhausting to to be sitting there with your

Unknown:

own thoughts.

Unknown:

To not find a grip on life.

Unknown:

We all feel like that sometimes.

Unknown:

It is okay.

Unknown:

I feel today's episode, the time you take aside for yourself

Unknown:

today is to be okay, where are you at, and to not try to fight.

Unknown:

But to trust, to trust that things will change again, to

Unknown:

trust that you're open to receive guidance. And to trust

Unknown:

that everything will be fine, you will be fine. And there's a

Unknown:

solution on its way for you.

Unknown:

Because if we reach that state of mind, where we can trust and

Unknown:

relax, we can attract goodness into our lives again.

Unknown:

Same goes with people. If you are

Unknown:

in a shitty situation, if you feel totally drained, exhausted,

Unknown:

and you're fighting it and you're resenting it and you're

Unknown:

upset with it, you will at the same time, push away people

Unknown:

if you are okay, if you accept things to be bad at times,

Unknown:

things to be difficult at times. But you have a hopeful outlook.

Unknown:

And you are open and warm with your surroundings, you ask maybe

Unknown:

for help, then people are more inclined to stick around and pay

Unknown:

their for your support, because you're not pushing them away.

Unknown:

Focus again into your breath. And now notice how warm air is

Unknown:

leaving your body. And fresh cool air is entering your body.

Unknown:

So you're processing the air that is coming in.

Unknown:

Maybe you can imagine a white light going up your spine,

Unknown:

whenever you inhale,

Unknown:

that light goes up your spine. And whenever you exhale.

Unknown:

It maybe turns into blue and goes down again down your spine.

Unknown:

You can draw in air positivity, and you can exhale blue air air

Unknown:

that you don't need in your body anymore.

Unknown:

Very good. You can do that a couple times. And you can

Unknown:

continue this beyond my little episodes here today.

Unknown:

And know that everything will be fine and know that you might

Unknown:

just have to find the source of your draining.

Unknown:

Find your source of exhaustion. Is it people that you surround

Unknown:

yourself with that exhaust you?

Unknown:

Is it yourself? Do you have difficulties to set boundaries

Unknown:

with yourself? Are you always chasing perfectionism? You're

Unknown:

always chasing goals and accomplishments.

Unknown:

Is it your environment that is exhausting you? Is it very

Unknown:

noisy? Is it smelly? Maybe even Is it a very fast paced

Unknown:

environment we live and it's just against your nature.

Unknown:

Be curious about your exhaustion to find out what it is that

Unknown:

drains you. And then we can be better at

Unknown:

limiting the exhaustion sources limiting the stress

Unknown:

and in doing so we can be more resilient in the future. We can

Unknown:

set boundaries accordingly and be good and firm with them

Unknown:

because we know and setting them we can be our best self.

Unknown:

Now continue breathing continue being with yourself here. Feel

Unknown:

free to choose another meditation if

Unknown:

You want to spend a little more time with yourself.

Unknown:

But otherwise, I'm going to let you go now and thank you from

Unknown:

the bottom of my heart to share my little podcast here.

Unknown:

It is my heart's mission to make our society more resilient to

Unknown:

make you love yourself more.

Unknown:

Thank you. I'll be out there tomorrow again. Bye bye
