Shownotes

The central tenet of today's discourse is that action is imperative; we must move in faith to witness the fulfillment of God's promises. We have traversed a journey over the past three weeks, where we established that anything is indeed possible, commencing with earnest prayer and unwavering persistence. We reflected on the profound implications of Joshua 1:3, which emphasizes that God grants us the land we traverse, contingent upon our willingness to take the first step. The narrative draws from the pivotal moments in biblical history, illustrating that divine intervention often accompanies our obedience in motion. As we conclude this series, we are called to identify and act upon our delayed steps of obedience, affirming that our faith must be coupled with decisive action to activate the blessings that God has in store for us. The series finale of 'Anything Is Possible' culminates with a powerful exhortation to act in faith, drawing from the biblical narrative of Joshua. The message, anchored in the key verse from Joshua 1:3, emphasizes the necessity of movement as a precursor to divine promise. In the journey so far, listeners have been reminded that prayer is vital for opening doors, persistence is critical in maintaining faith, and ultimately, it is action that actualizes the blessings God has promised. As Joshua faced the daunting Jordan River after the death of Moses, he was commanded not to wait passively for the Promised Land to come to him, but to take decisive steps forward. This pivotal moment illustrates the principle that faith without action is ineffectual; movement is essential for miracles to manifest. The speaker implores the audience to identify and take a step of obedience this week, reinforcing the notion that the blessings of God pursue those who are in motion. He concludes with an invitation to reflect on one's personal journey of faith, urging the listeners to commit to prayer, persistence, and proactive obedience in their lives, thereby embodying the spirit of the series that indeed, anything is possible with God when we take action.

Takeaways:

  • The series concludes with the profound assertion that one must act in faith; prayer and persistence are vital, yet without taking action, one cannot manifest the promise.
  • As articulated in Joshua 1:3, divine blessings are contingent upon our willingness to set our foot in motion, thereby engaging actively with God's promises.
  • The concept of movement is central; blessings do not merely await us but accompany us as we step forward in obedience to God's commands.
  • Faith devoid of action is rendered ineffective; true faith compels us to act, transforming our prayers into tangible outcomes and divine blessings.

Transcripts

Speaker A:

Foreign.

Speaker A:

I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.

Speaker A:

Joshua 1, verse 7 We started this series with a declaration that anything is possible.

Speaker A:

Three weeks ago we learned that anything is possible.

Speaker A:

But it starts with asking God.

Speaker A:

We found the persistent widow in Luke 18, a woman who would not take no for an answer.

Speaker A:

And we discovered that prayer is the door to the impossible.

Speaker A:

And then two weeks ago, we went deeper.

Speaker A:

We found a farmer who dug up his seeds too soon.

Speaker A:

And Galatians 6:9 reminded us, don't quit.

Speaker A:

Your harvest has a due date.

Speaker A:

The miracle you are waiting for is being built in the waiting.

Speaker A:

Persistence is faith in motion.

Speaker A:

Now, today in this message, we finish what we started.

Speaker A:

Because prayer opens the door.

Speaker A:

Persistence keeps you in the game.

Speaker A:

But action.

Speaker A:

Action is what walks you through.

Speaker A:

Joshua has just buried Moses, the greatest leader Israel has ever known.

Speaker A:

God was the Jordan river is in front of them.

Speaker A:

The Promised Land is in front of them is on the other side.

Speaker A:

The people are looking at Joshua.

Speaker A:

Joshua is looking at the river.

Speaker A:

And God speaks.

Speaker A:

He does not say, I'll give you the promised land.

Speaker A:

Wait for it to come to you.

Speaker A:

He says, I will give you every place where you set your foot.

Speaker A:

Every place.

Speaker A:

But there is a condition.

Speaker A:

You have to set your foot.

Speaker A:

You have to move.

Speaker A:

Faith without feet is just a feeling.

Speaker A:

Action is what turns the prayer into promise.

Speaker A:

God blesses motion.

Speaker A:

He is waiting for your feet to move.

Speaker A:

Joshua 1:3 says, I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.

Speaker A:

James 2:17 and in the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Speaker A:

Deuteronomy:

Speaker A:

All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.

Speaker A:

Faith is not passive.

Speaker A:

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and substantise wish.

Speaker A:

It has movement.

Speaker A:

When Israel was at the Red Sea, God did not part the water while the people stood on the shore.

Speaker A:

He parted it as Moses stretched out his hand.

Speaker A:

Movement triggered the miracle.

Speaker A:

Movement triggered the miracle.

Speaker A:

Movement triggered the miracle.

Speaker A:

In Deuteronomy 28 the blessings do not sit in a warehouse waiting.

Speaker A:

They come on you and they accompany you while you are walking.

Speaker A:

In obedience, prayer and persistence are the foundation.

Speaker A:

But action is the bridge between your faith and your blessing.

Speaker A:

God does not bless paralysis.

Speaker A:

He blesses obedience in motion.

Speaker A:

Some are saying, I am waiting on God's confirmation before I act.

Speaker A:

I Don't want to move ahead of him.

Speaker A:

Now there is a difference between reckless impulse and faithful action.

Speaker A:

Reckless impulse ignores God's word.

Speaker A:

Faithful action is grounded in God's word and moves accordingly.

Speaker A:

Joshua already had the word.

Speaker A:

I will give you every place where you set your foot.

Speaker A:

The confirmation was already given.

Speaker A:

The instruction was already clear.

Speaker A:

Sometimes we are not waiting on God's confirmation.

Speaker A:

God is waiting on our obedience.

Speaker A:

Now, this week, identify one step of obedience you have been postponing.

Speaker A:

Take it not when you feel ready.

Speaker A:

Now here are some main points of the message.

Speaker A:

Point one Prayer opens the door.

Speaker A:

We said in Message one, the prayer you don't pray is a miracle you don't receive.

Speaker A:

Prayer is your access point.

Speaker A:

But a door that is open is still a door you have to walk through.

Speaker A:

You can stand in the doorway of the blessing forever praying for God to push you through it.

Speaker A:

But God says you have to walk through it yourself.

Speaker A:

The door is open.

Speaker A:

Now move.

Speaker A:

In Matthew 7:07, ask if it will be given to you seeking your find.

Speaker A:

Knock and the door will be opened.

Speaker A:

You applied for the job.

Speaker A:

You prayed about it.

Speaker A:

You got the interview.

Speaker A:

Now you have to show up.

Speaker A:

You have to get dressed.

Speaker A:

You have to walk through the door and sit in the chair.

Speaker A:

Prayer opened the opportunity.

Speaker A:

Your feet have to take you into it.

Speaker A:

Can I get an amen prayer?

Speaker A:

Prayer opens the door.

Speaker A:

Your feet take you through it.

Speaker A:

Persistence keeps you in the game.

Speaker A:

We said a message to don't quit.

Speaker A:

Your harvest has a due date.

Speaker A:

Persistence is what keeps you in the field when the enemy is telling you to leave.

Speaker A:

But today I want to add something.

Speaker A:

Persistence is not the same as passivity.

Speaker A:

You can persist with your prayer while also persisting in your preparation.

Speaker A:

While you are waiting on God, get ready for the answer.

Speaker A:

Galatians 6:9 tells us, Let us not become weary in doing doing good.

Speaker A:

For at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Speaker A:

A football team doesn't stop training while they wait for the next match.

Speaker A:

They train harder, they prepare more.

Speaker A:

So what?

Speaker A:

When?

Speaker A:

What?

Speaker A:

That so what?

Speaker A:

So so that when the opportunity comes, they are ready.

Speaker A:

Believe for the promotion while you are developing your skills.

Speaker A:

Believe for the business, while you are learning the industry.

Speaker A:

Persistence is preparation.

Speaker A:

Persistence and preparation go together.

Speaker A:

Hold on and get ready.

Speaker A:

Your due date is approaching.

Speaker A:

Point three Action activates the harvest.

Speaker A:

Now this is the finale.

Speaker A:

This is where prayer meets perseverance and becomes prosperity.

Speaker A:

Excuse me.

Speaker A:

The Blessings of Deuteronomy 28 are not stationary.

Speaker A:

They come on you and accompany you.

Speaker A:

They are Moving, they are in motion.

Speaker A:

And here is the secret.

Speaker A:

They attach themselves to people who are also in motion.

Speaker A:

When you move in motion in obedience, their blessing chases you.

Speaker A:

When you act in faith, heaven acts with you.

Speaker A:

Deuteronomy 28:2 all these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.

Speaker A:

Now, a taxi driver does not earn money parked in his garage praying up passengers.

Speaker A:

He has to pull out of the garage, get on the road and move towards the rack.

Speaker A:

The movement he the moment he moves, the passengers come.

Speaker A:

The moment you move in faith, the provision moves to meet you.

Speaker A:

Now, when you move in faith, heaven moves with you.

Speaker A:

Three weeks ago, some of you didn't believe anything was possible.

Speaker A:

Some of you were disappoint one disappointment away from giving up on God.

Speaker A:

Some of you had locked a your prayers in a drawer and decided to be realistic.

Speaker A:

But you came and you heard.

Speaker A:

And today.

Speaker A:

Today is the day we stop talking about talking and start not faith that sits in the pew, but faith that gets up and walks.

Speaker A:

Not a God who blesses stillness, but a God who blesses obedience.

Speaker A:

Not prayer without action, but prayer that becomes action.

Speaker A:

What would happen in your house if you acted on the prayer this morning week?

Speaker A:

What would happen in your business if you took that step of faith today?

Speaker A:

What would happen in your family if you stopped waiting and started moving?

Speaker A:

Let us recap this series.

Speaker A:

The three pillars of the possible pillar 1.

Speaker A:

Pray.

Speaker A:

Ask God specifically and persistently.

Speaker A:

The prayer you don't pray is a miracle you don't receive.

Speaker A:

Pillar 2 Persistence.

Speaker A:

Don't quit before your harvest comes.

Speaker A:

Every delay is preparation, not punishment.

Speaker A:

Move.

Speaker A:

Faith without action is dead when you set your foot.

Speaker A:

God keeps the word.

Speaker A:

Here are some applicable lessons for us.

Speaker A:

Identify the one step of obedience you have been delaying and take it this week.

Speaker A:

Stop preparing to prepare.

Speaker A:

God does not perfect conditions.

Speaker A:

He rewards obedient action.

Speaker A:

Speak Deuteronomy 28:2.

Speaker A:

Speak.

Speaker A:

Speak to Deuteronomy 28:2 over your mobile movement this week.

Speaker A:

The blessings are chasing you.

Speaker A:

And then review your prayer journal from the series.

Speaker A:

What did you pray for in week one?

Speaker A:

Celebrate what has shifted, even in small ways.

Speaker A:

Share the series with one person who has given up on a promise and your testimony may be the returning point.

Speaker A:

Looking back over the series, what truth hit you the hardest?

Speaker A:

What step?

Speaker A:

Have you been waiting on God?

Speaker A:

Have you been caught and waiting on God and that is actually you avoiding obedience?

Speaker A:

Do you believe that God's blessings pursue people who move in faith?

Speaker A:

Or is it just a nice concept where in your life Is God saying, set your foot right now.

Speaker A:

If anything is truly possible, what would you dare to believe?

Speaker A:

For in the next 90 days this week, bring together everything from the series.

Speaker A:

Write down three things.

Speaker A:

The prayer that revived in your week, week one.

Speaker A:

The promise you refused to abandon your week two.

Speaker A:

And the step of action you are committed to this week.

Speaker A:

Share it with someone you trust, patent on your work.

Speaker A:

And watch God meet you with a place where prayer, persistence and movement intersect.

Speaker A:

Anything is possible, but you have to pray.

Speaker A:

Hold on and move.

Speaker A:

Father, we come to the end of the series changed.

Speaker A:

We entered with doubt and you met us with truth.

Speaker A:

We came with dead prayers and you breathed life into them again.

Speaker A:

Today we make a covenant before you.

Speaker A:

We will pray not once, but continually.

Speaker A:

We will persist not until it gets hard, but until the harvest comes.

Speaker A:

And we will move in obedience to your word in the direction of your promise, with the confidence of people who know that you keep every word you have spoken.

Speaker A:

Let the blessings of Deuteronomy 28 pursue us this week.

Speaker A:

Let Joshua 1:3 become our testimony.

Speaker A:

Wherever you set your foot, you have already given it.

Speaker A:

Thank you that anything is possible.

Speaker A:

Thank you that nothing is too hard for you.

Speaker A:

We walk out of here today not the same.

Speaker A:

And we will not return to this life and will not return to the life of the impossible.

Speaker A:

We are people of the impossible.

Speaker A:

In the mighty name of Jesus.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

We spend so much time asking God for a sign.

Speaker A:

And God is looking at us, saying, my son, I already gave you the sign.

Speaker A:

Joshua 1:3.

Speaker A:

Your sign is your foot.

Speaker A:

Put it somewhere.

Speaker A:

The sign is the step.

Speaker A:

Some of us have a business plan in our head for five years.

Speaker A:

A dream, a calling.

Speaker A:

We've prayed about it, we fasted about it.

Speaker A:

We've talked about it at every bride.

Speaker A:

But we have never registered one thing.

Speaker A:

Step.

Speaker A:

Faith without the first step is just a daydream with scriptures attached.

Speaker A:

Deuteronomy 28:2 says, the blessings will accompany you, not proceed you, precede you, not replace you, accompany you.

Speaker A:

That means they walk with you.

Speaker A:

But you have to be walking.

Speaker A:

You can't accompany someone standing still.

Speaker A:

So stand up.

Speaker A:

Let's go.
