"For whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. These seven are the eyes of the LORD, which range through the whole earth."

"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand. (The seven lamps represent the eyes of the LORD that search all around the world.)"

This is Journey with Prayer, a prayer journey corresponding

to a previous episode.

For who has despised the the day of small things?

For they shall rejoice, and they shall see the plumb line in the hand of

Zerubbabel with those 7. They are the eyes of

the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

Zechariah 4 verse 10 from the ESV.

Loving and almighty god, in the seemingly

smallness of this moment, we are grateful for your ever

present guidance in our lives. We're

reminded that every journey begins with small steps, and we

bring to mind the wisdom of Zechariah not to despise the

day of small things. For in every humble beginning,

there is your hand at work, shaping the future with precision

and love.

Father, teach us the virtue of patience and the value

of starting small. Help us to

recognize every act of kindness, every word of

encouragement, and every gesture of support, no matter how minor

it may seem, holds the potential to create significant

impact.

Reinforce in our hearts the steadfastness to persevere

through beginnings that appear insubstantial, knowing that

under your sovereign hand, great things are being

fostered.

And we ask for eyes to see beyond the immediate, to

perceive the beauty and potential in the smallest of starts.

Instill us with a spirit of joy and anticipation for the fruits that

these beginnings will bear as we play our part in your divine plan.

Let us be encouragers of one another, celebrating each

small step and supporting each other's efforts to grow and flourish

in your grace. For those connected with us

today, stir their hearts to embrace small starts with

faith and hope. Let them find reassurance in

knowing that you are watching over each development, no

matter its size. May they find joy in the

incremental progress and feeling motivated to continue,

empowered

glorious name of your son. Amen.
