Colleen Martindale has built a HOME in the Pre-Construction group at McCarthy while creating a path for other women in the construction industry
In this episode of The Zweig Letter podcast, we speak with Colleen Martindale. She is the Sr. Pre-Construction Director with McCarthy based in Dallas, TX. With more than a decade and a half of experience, Colleen has found success in a historically male-dominated industry.
“When you look up the Org chart, and nobody looks like you, that can be pretty intimidating.”
She started in the intern program at McCarthy and has never looked back. Colleen and her Pre-Construction group get to work on earthworks, bridges, energy projects, and so much more. She has had the chance to gain face time with many of the leaders at McCarthy as several members of the company's C-Suite are based in the Dallas office.
According to Colleen, women make up 25% of the organization at McCarthy in all phases of the business. She said that they are trying to make sure that McCarthy is the employer of choice for everyone. We aim to ensure that we attract that top talent regardless of where they come from.
