Takeaways:
And now for something completely different.
David Spoon:Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.
David Spoon:It's Expository Thursday.
David Spoon:Expository Thursday.
David Spoon:As we work together to know the letter better into the narrative of the book of Colossians, we travel to understand what things the Lord requires of us.
David Spoon:As we learn to apply God's timeless truths in our lives, we pick it up, basically, Colossians 1:15.
David Spoon:And I said this last week, I said I was going to reread this because of how good, how good this portion is.
David Spoon:You need to really, really connect to this.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:We need to remember that Colossians is the single most powerful epistle that demonstrates Christology, or the study of Christ with the most evidence of his divinity outside of the Gospels or the book of Revelation.
David Spoon:He is before all things.
David Spoon:He is through all things, and he holds all things together.
David Spoon:So think about that.
David Spoon:Think about that.
David Spoon:That's okay.
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:That's powerful.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Additionally, Jesus is the head of the church.
David Spoon:Not a man, not a person, not a group of elders, so to speak.
David Spoon:Not even the apostles.
David Spoon:Technically, after the ascension, Jesus is the head of the church.
David Spoon:There's no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
David Spoon:He's the chief shepherd.
David Spoon:Never forget that.
David Spoon:And finally, here's one of the biggie, biggie, biggie, biggie, biggie biggies.
David Spoon:All things are reconciled to God, whether in heaven or on earth.
David Spoon:All the things that are reconciled to God are reconciled through Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:Through Jesus Christ alone is where heaven and earth finds peace, the relationship that's active.
David Spoon:And this all takes place by the blood of Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:Jesus is the connector between heaven and earth.
David Spoon:So let's just say it this way.
David Spoon:It's not feasible that you can have Jesus and not have everything you need.
David Spoon:It is feasible that you can have Jesus and not be open to everything.
David Spoon:So let's be open to everything that Jesus wants with us.
Unknown Speaker B:David Spoon's life has been an experience.
Unknown Speaker B:While growing up in a Jewish family, he made a wrong turn towards drug abuse.
Unknown Speaker B:Then David Spoon found Jesus Christ and his life completely changed.
Unknown Speaker B:The more he studied the gospel, the more he wanted to share his experiences with others.
Unknown Speaker B:After 35 years of ministry, David discovered a new path of service.
Unknown Speaker B:He joined KAM and this radio program began.
Unknown Speaker B:You're about to hear the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Local, national and heavenly talk.
David Spoon:Here's what else we're looking at during the show.
David Spoon:Lessons for surviving living and prevailing politics, entertainment and current events, personal revelations, spiritual observations.
David Spoon:My life's Insanities and oy vey, so much more.
David Spoon:Now remember, it's not professional radio and we're not going to go to Jam and Jacob for this.
David Spoon:I'm just going to tell you now how much it is not professional radio.
David Spoon:Your host, David Spoon, sometimes they call me Dr.
David Spoon:Dave had to get a new phone and then I got a new phone and we thought we had everything coordinated and my phone doesn't work.
David Spoon:Praise the Lord.
David Spoon:So even if you're texting, I won't see them until they get this thing working.
David Spoon:I'm just telling you.
David Spoon:But don't stop texting because around here it can happen in a moment.
David Spoon:So that just shows you how not professional we are.
David Spoon:But the bottom line is it still matters what you think.
David Spoon:And I am still getting emails and you can still text because any second it can come powering through because that's how new phones work.
David Spoon:But I do want you to be aware, if you want to reach out to us, do so by doing the email.
David Spoon:David.
David Spoon:Crease.org that's David must increase.org you can text.
David Spoon:I promise that at some point in the next hour maybe they will show up.
David Spoon:Just that simple.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Well, bye.
David Spoon:Golly.
David Spoon:You'll end up talking to Jammin Jacob.
David Spoon:Talking to Jammin Jacob is the same feeling you get when you know you're being appreciate that nice being appreciated.
David Spoon:Thank you, David.
David Spoon:Happy Thursday.
David Spoon:Happy Thursday to you, my friend.
David Spoon:We will just soldier forward because you know what?
David Spoon:That's how we do the show, isn't it?
David Spoon:That's how we do it.
David Spoon:So here we go, moving forward.
David Spoon:Now here's the deal.
David Spoon:Why would you email us?
David Spoon:Why would you call?
David Spoon:Why would you text?
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Because if you have appraised, I want to hear the praise report and you're thinking you want to hear it.
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:I want the Lord to be glorified in it and I want to be blessed by it.
David Spoon:So I want you to share it.
David Spoon:I want you to get up off your blessed assurance and share it because it'll bless people.
David Spoon:Maybe you've got prayer needs and you've Got something going on relationship wise, financial wise.
David Spoon:You got a situation that's out of hand, out of your control.
David Spoon:Oh, yeah.
David Spoon:I got somebody that's in perfect control that can take that situation, circumstance, and change it.
David Spoon:His name is Jesus.
David Spoon:We should do that.
David Spoon:Yeah, that's a good idea.
David Spoon:Thy kingdom come, thy will be done.
David Spoon:Additionally, you know, you think, well, what if I just got something I want to share?
David Spoon:Cool.
David Spoon:We love that.
David Spoon:We love it because it's awesome.
David Spoon:It's awesome for us to share one another, to build up one another and strengthen one another.
David Spoon:We also do Bible trivia.
David Spoon:And you're thinking you do.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:Let's see if you can get this one ready.
David Spoon:Your reference point is Matthew 6, 28, 29, even though I can't see them yet.
David Spoon:Still text.
David Spoon:In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
David Spoon:What was he talking about?
David Spoon:Matthew, chapter 6, 28 and 29.
David Spoon:Remember, according to Matthew 6, 28 and 29 in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
David Spoon:What was he talking about?
David Spoon:Matthew, chapter 6, verse 28 and 29.
David Spoon:Again, if you think, you know, if you got a handle on it.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Or you can send an email.
David Spoon:David must increase.org in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, Even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
David Spoon:What was he talking about?
David Spoon:Who was he talking about?
David Spoon:What's he talking about?
David Spoon:Matthew 6, 28 and 29.
David Spoon:In the meantime, I want to remind people that there is a desire for this ministry to have people who are listening on the radio become a part of the ministry by praying for one another.
David Spoon:People that you hear, people that connect, that you pray for them because that is your brother or your sister in the Lord.
David Spoon:And here's the big deal.
David Spoon:The Lord watches over every one of us.
David Spoon:He knows what each one of us is doing.
David Spoon:And when we pray and care and encourage others and care for them, the Lord takes on the responsibility of giving that back to us.
David Spoon:What a man sows, that shall he also reap.
David Spoon:So if you end up being a great brother or sister in the Lord and you are blessing other people, God will send blessings to you through other people.
David Spoon:That's how it works.
David Spoon:Isn't that cool?
David Spoon:So you can be a vessel of blessing and then the Lord will send a vessel of blessing towards you.
David Spoon:And that's a pretty important part of the Christian walk.
David Spoon:In the meantime, we are going to do our DNA.
David Spoon:D stands for Draw closer to the Lord daily, every day.
David Spoon:Does that mean every day will be perfect?
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:Does that mean everything will be flawless?
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:What it means is you cannot get any better in a day if you spend time with God.
David Spoon:His time with you makes every day better, period.
David Spoon:And so when you spend time with the Lord, Bible says in James 4, 8, draw near to God and he will draw near to you.
David Spoon:I mean, separated time.
David Spoon:Remember Jesus said, get back in the closet.
David Spoon:So funny how they people are saying all these weird things.
David Spoon:It's very simple.
David Spoon:This connection to God is your sustaining life.
David Spoon:That's it.
David Spoon:Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:DN Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of what he had to say.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of what the word of God says.
David Spoon:Because people don't understand it and they twist scriptures.
David Spoon:The Bible says to their own destruction.
David Spoon:You don't have to follow that.
David Spoon:You stand firm in faith, knowing.
David Spoon:Knowing that God created the universe.
David Spoon:He can write a book.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:And then a.
David Spoon:Always be ready to serve.
David Spoon:Always just available.
David Spoon:Always ready, always there, always praying for.
David Spoon:Always doing these things.
David Spoon:That's the thing.
David Spoon:Always ready to serve, to honor God, to be alert, to be connected, to be aware.
David Spoon:Don't get so caught up in what you're going through.
David Spoon:Don't get so caught up in your.
David Spoon:Even if it's repetitive motions, don't get so caught up in any of those things.
David Spoon:Because wherever you go, you are an ambassador for Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:No matter where you go, everywhere you go, you don't take off ambassador as a title.
David Spoon:You walk with it.
David Spoon:Always.
David Spoon:D.
David Spoon:Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:And never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:A.
David Spoon:Always be ready to serve.
David Spoon:All right, your trivia question.
David Spoon:Then we're going to jump into the text.
David Spoon:Your trivia question is simply this.
David Spoon:In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, even Solomon in all his glory, was not arrayed like one of these.
David Spoon:What was he talking about?
David Spoon:Matthew, chapter 6, verses 28 and 29.
David Spoon:For those that do not know, we are in the book of Colossians.
David Spoon:And this is such a great book.
David Spoon:I love this book.
David Spoon:So we're going to pick it up actually at verse 15 of Colossians, chapter one.
David Spoon:And this is.
David Spoon:Remember what we're understanding.
David Spoon:You need to understand this.
David Spoon:This is a Christology, a study of Christ book where the divinity of Jesus Christ becomes a central theme.
David Spoon:Because what had happened is that people were dissing Jesus as just a good moral teacher.
David Spoon:And that was taking place.
David Spoon:Those teachings were going on through the church.
David Spoon:So let me point this out because they actually happen in the church today.
David Spoon:Even in my own family.
David Spoon:At the beginning, when I first became a Christian and was engaging with my mom, my mom said to me, well, Jesus was a good moral teacher.
David Spoon:And I said to her, well, the good moral teacher taught that he was the Messiah.
David Spoon:So if he's a good moral teacher, then you should think he's the Messiah, or you think he's a nut job, or you think he's a liar.
David Spoon:But then you just said he's a good moral teacher.
David Spoon:So you obviously don't think he's a liar.
David Spoon:So then you must think he's a nut job.
David Spoon:And so my point in saying that to you is he's not just always this or he's a great teacher.
David Spoon:He's one of many.
David Spoon:It's like, no, he's the way, the truth and the life.
David Spoon:And no man comes to the Father but by Him.
David Spoon:And when you pray a prayer, faith is a huge part of that process.
David Spoon:But when you pray a prayer with the name of Jesus connected to it, there's a lot more behind it, isn't there?
David Spoon:Verse 15 says this.
David Spoon:He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of his beloved Son.
David Spoon:That's talking to God, talking about us being rescued from darkness.
David Spoon:Now this is what he says in verse 14, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
David Spoon:The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, for in him all things were created.
David Spoon:You want to know something amazing about Jesus?
David Spoon:If you're trying to get a handle on what God is like, the Son is the image of the invisible God.
David Spoon:Do you want to know what God would look like if he was walking on earth?
David Spoon:Read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and you'll find out.
David Spoon:In fact, in Hebrews chapter one, it says he's the exact representation, means perfect.
David Spoon:Perfect in the presentation to the original exact.
David Spoon:And Jesus is the image, the picture of God.
David Spoon:People are like, oh, it's God.
David Spoon:Like, here, read this book.
David Spoon:It's called Matthew.
David Spoon:Here, read this book.
David Spoon:It's called Mark.
David Spoon:Here, read this book.
David Spoon:It's called Luke.
David Spoon:Here, read this book.
David Spoon:It's called John.
David Spoon:In him, verse 16.
David Spoon:For in him all things were created.
David Spoon:Things in heaven and things on earth.
David Spoon:Whoa, whoa, Whoa, whoa.
David Spoon:Things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things were created through him and for him.
David Spoon:And as you read this, you get this sense, Jesus is at the center of all of this.
David Spoon:Exactly.
David Spoon:Jesus is at the center of all of this.
David Spoon:And yes, I'm very aware when people say, well, we always talk about God, but we don't really talk about Jesus.
David Spoon:Well, there's a problem there, because if Jesus is not the sweetest name that you know, since God gave him a name that is above every other name, if there's people just making reference, trying to sidestep it, it's like, is not acceptable and not.
David Spoon:Okay, sorry.
David Spoon:Christology does not change because people don't understand it.
David Spoon:It's very factual, as very matter of fact.
David Spoon:Jesus is Lord.
David Spoon:Bam.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right, your trivia question.
David Spoon:Sermon on the Mount.
David Spoon:Jesus said, even Solomon in all his glory, was not arrayed like one of these.
David Spoon:What was he talking about?
David Spoon:According to Matthew, chapter 6, verse 28 and 29, at least in the new King James Version, the lilies of the field, which is amazing because they grow and then they die, but they still retain a greater divine glory than even Solomon in everything he had.
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:God knows what he's doing.
David Spoon:All right, we'll take a break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the truth stationary in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
Unknown Speaker B:What is the David spoon experience?
David Spoon:Verse 24 in Mark 5, it says Jesus went with him.
David Spoon:Sometimes Jesus went there.
David Spoon:Sometimes Jesus just spoke the word.
David Spoon:Sometimes Jesus went there.
David Spoon:It happens in all different ways.
David Spoon:I did read this ridiculous thing from this one person who said Jesus healed every single person in the entire community and didn't charge anybody any money.
David Spoon:They were trying to make a political argument.
David Spoon:And the fact of the matter is he only healed one guy at the pool of Bethsaida, and that was actually a hospital.
David Spoon:Do you guys read this stuff?
David Spoon:This is where you pull back from those kind of things and you go, can we just keep it on track with the truth?
David Spoon:It's just easier if you just tell the truth and keep it the way it is and not try and make it fit some kind of narrative.
David Spoon:Here's this narrative issued by Scripture itself.
David Spoon:Jesus tells, Jairus, ignore what these people are saying.
David Spoon:Don't be afraid.
David Spoon:Take a stand.
David Spoon:Now I want you to.
David Spoon:I'm going to read verse 37.
David Spoon:You got to catch what Jesus does.
David Spoon:Amazing.
David Spoon:He did not let anyone follow him.
David Spoon:In except for Peter, James and John, the brother of James.
David Spoon:When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw the commotion with people crying and wailing loudly.
David Spoon:He went in and said to them, why is all this commotion?
David Spoon:Why all this wailing?
David Spoon:The child's not dead, but asleep.
David Spoon:But they laughed at him.
David Spoon:And he put them all out and took the child's father and mother and the disciples who were with him and went in where the child was.
David Spoon:He took her by the hand and said, talitha Qm.
David Spoon:Talitha Qm.
David Spoon:And that means little girl.
David Spoon:I say unto you, get up.
David Spoon:Immediately.
David Spoon:The girl stood up and began to walk around.
David Spoon:She was 12 years old.
David Spoon:Remember, the woman of the issue of the blood was 12 years of the issue of the blood.
David Spoon:At this they were completely astonished.
David Spoon:He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and he told them to give her something to eat.
David Spoon:Jesus was still ministering to this little girl, even though she was physically raised from the dead.
David Spoon:He wanted to make sure she was taken care of.
David Spoon:That's how Jesus is.
David Spoon:Okay, but what I want you to get is Jesus and the disciples and the parents.
David Spoon:So they're all there, right?
David Spoon:Cause you got the parents there as well, right?
David Spoon:And everybody's going, she's dead, she's dead, she's dead.
David Spoon:And they're making fun of Jesus.
David Spoon:What did Jesus do?
David Spoon:Kicked him out.
David Spoon:You know, for everybody that thinks that everything Jesus did was pull a flower out of his sleeve like a magician and just smiled and gave everybody an air high five.
David Spoon:That's not how it went, okay?
David Spoon:They laughed at Jesus and he put them all out.
David Spoon:He took the child's father and mother and disciples went with them.
David Spoon:What did he do?
David Spoon:He cleared the air.
David Spoon:Sometimes alleluia, sometimes.
David Spoon:Praise the Lord.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the truth station.
David Spoon:That's Kaaman 770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Get ready for your next trivia question.
David Spoon:Jesus likened the kingdom of heaven to a merchant who when he found one pearl of great price.
David Spoon:Did What?
David Spoon:Matthew, chapter 13, verses 45 and 46.
David Spoon:Jesus likened the kingdom of heaven to a merchant who when he found one pearl of great price, he went and did what?
David Spoon:What did he do?
David Spoon:Matthew, chapter 13, verses 45 through 46.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Excuse me.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: You can also text: David Spoon:That's 214-210, 8, 4, 8, 3.
David Spoon:Or you can send an email.
David Spoon:David.org wow.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Got all that stuff going on, making it very simple.
David Spoon:So this is important because this parable has a lot to do with how we should be perceiving things.
David Spoon:Jesus likened the kingdom of heaven to a merchant who, when he found one pearl of great price, did what?
David Spoon: Matthew: David Spoon:Okay, all right.
David Spoon:Before we get to the phone, before we do anything else, I want people to be aware.
David Spoon:It might be that the.
David Spoon:I'm just telling you right now.
David Spoon:It might be.
Unknown Speaker B:Oh, oh.
David Spoon:It might be that things are coming in on the phone.
David Spoon:I don't know.
David Spoon:Just keep texting and trying.
David Spoon:This is part of the 24 hours before we get everything working thing.
David Spoon:Don't you love that?
David Spoon:It'll be 24 hours, but it works right away.
David Spoon:But it doesn't work right away anyway.
David Spoon:All right, we do have some.
David Spoon:Everybody on the line ready to answer a trivia question.
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Caller:Hey, David, this is Al.
Caller:How are you doing?
David Spoon:I'm doing great, man.
David Spoon:How are you doing?
Caller:I'm doing well.
Caller:I figured since I couldn't text in, I might as well call you.
David Spoon:Well, that's good.
David Spoon:I appreciate that.
David Spoon:So I had to get a new phone yesterday, and you know what happens?
David Spoon:You get a new phone.
David Spoon:And we did get it coordinated, and it showed all of my texts, and I was like, okay, it works great.
David Spoon:And then I got in here, and in five minutes before the show, it stopped showing texts.
Caller:That's Satan for you.
David Spoon:It's not that I enjoy it, but I'm kind of used to it, and it makes me feel good that we must be doing something to irritate somebody somewhere.
Caller:Exactly.
Caller:You're exactly right.
David Spoon:That's classic.
David Spoon:All right, my brother, let me set it up for you, and then you can nail it out.
David Spoon:Here we go.
David Spoon:Jesus likened the kingdom of heaven to a merchant who, when he found one pearl of great price, went and did.
Caller:What Is this where he went and buried it and then bought the whole field?
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:Okay, so let me help you.
David Spoon:This is a really good one.
David Spoon:So he was a pearl hunter, and he found this pearl that was worth more than any other pearl.
David Spoon:And he was like, I gotta get that pearl.
David Spoon:So what would you do if you found something that was greater than anything else?
David Spoon:You would just have to get it.
David Spoon:What would you do to get it?
David Spoon:You'd almost do anything.
David Spoon:So he wanted to buy it.
David Spoon:What did he do to buy it?
David Spoon:What would he have to do?
Caller:Well, I am completely stumped then, because I am not sure.
David Spoon:Okay, and I'll walk you through it.
David Spoon:So if you had an opportunity to buy a Mercedes Benz for $15, brand new, real Mercedes, and you didn't have $15, but you had a watch, what would you do?
Caller:I would trade it or sell it.
David Spoon:Right, right there.
David Spoon:Right there.
David Spoon:You got it.
David Spoon:See, he did exactly in this parable.
David Spoon:What he did is he found a pearl of great price and he sold everything he had so he can buy it.
David Spoon:In other words, that pearl was worth more than anything else.
David Spoon:So he got rid of everything else just so he can get the value of that one pearl.
Caller:Well, I wonder where I got that about burying it and buying the field.
David Spoon:That I think you're talking about where he had that.
David Spoon:Are you talking about where he had that talent and then he buried it and didn't use it because he was afraid?
Caller:Well, no, I really thought it was something about where they.
Caller:He buried it in a field and they bought the whole field.
David Spoon:So you know what?
David Spoon:You're right.
David Spoon:You're right.
David Spoon:There is that part.
David Spoon:There's another part of that and there's another aspect of it, but in this particular one, it's, you know, it's accurate to say that.
David Spoon:I mean, what you're saying is right.
David Spoon:The big key is that he sold it all in order to get it.
David Spoon:In other words, he abandoned everything else he had in order to get that one thing.
David Spoon:And that's what the kingdom of God is like.
Caller:Hey, can I ask you a Bible question?
David Spoon:You can.
David Spoon:I don't know if I can answer you, but you can ask me.
Caller:So.
Caller:So I'm reading through Acts and it just dawned on me.
Caller:I'm at where James was killed.
Caller:You were talking about this the other day, where James was killed, but Peter was spared.
David Spoon:Yep, yep.
Caller:But later in the chapter, it talks about James being in doing things and being in like a meeting or something.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:That's Acts 15, and that's a different James.
David Spoon:In other words, the James that died in Acts chapter 12, that's the apostle.
David Spoon:The James in Acts chapter 15 who led the meeting, that's Jesus, brother.
David Spoon:And the James who wrote the Epistle, that's Jesus, brother.
David Spoon:So when you read James, that's not the apostle James of the original 12, that's the apostle that took charge.
David Spoon:He didn't take charge, but he was kind of in charge at about Acts 15 on.
David Spoon:And that Paul makes reference to so the original James unfortunately, didn't last.
David Spoon:And so that's your tough.
David Spoon:So that's Jesus, brother James, and that's who wrote that other letter.
David Spoon:Does that make sense?
Caller:Okay.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:I'm just making sure.
Caller:And I was reading it this morning, and I was just like, well, wait a minute.
Caller:I just heard where he died.
David Spoon:Where did he resurrect?
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:Excellent.
David Spoon:Excellent job, brother.
David Spoon:You doing all right?
David Spoon:You want us to pray for you?
Caller:You can always pray for me.
Caller:I will.
Caller:I will take prayer all the time.
Caller:You can continue to pray for my marriage and things like that.
Caller:And so if you would do that, I'd appreciate it.
David Spoon:Let me pray over you real quickly.
David Spoon:Can I do that?
David Spoon:Okay, let's do it.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now.
David Spoon:We thank you for our brother, and we just ask you to bless him and thank you for the fact that he pursues you and he desires more of you, and he really wants to get you and draw closer to you in his heart.
David Spoon:Is that panting, that deer, that pants over the brook of the water, he's exactly what's going on with him.
David Spoon:And, Lord, you fill people who pursue you that way.
David Spoon:You bless them, you give them that, you respond to that.
David Spoon:And he's got different things going on, different ministry opportunities, different challenges going on.
David Spoon:Lord, what we're praying for is that within the marriage, within the framework of his life, that he would see your hand evident and that he would be joyful and comforted and steadfast because you are with him and you will never forsake him and you love him and he can hold onto that as his great strength to keep moving forward.
David Spoon:Ask you to bless him from heaven in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen and amen.
Caller:Amen.
Caller:Thank you, sir.
David Spoon:You got it, brother.
Caller:Love you, brother.
David Spoon:God bless you, man.
Caller:You too.
David Spoon:Bye.
David Spoon:Bye.
David Spoon:All right, so everybody is kind of, if you're not aware by now, just keep sending texts so that some are coming in, some are not.
David Spoon:It's just that our phone, it takes 24 hours for them to do all that stuff.
David Spoon:Just love it.
David Spoon:Just so funny.
David Spoon:Anyway, excellent call, by the way, by our brother.
David Spoon:It was a great job.
David Spoon:Let me go right back into this and make sure you understand something about Jesus.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:I just want to make sure you get this.
David Spoon:Verse 17.
David Spoon:Listen to this.
David Spoon:This is a mind blower.
David Spoon:This is one of those things where you really have to think about this.
David Spoon:And this is a little bit.
David Spoon:I don't want to say it's past us, but it's a little past us, verse 17.
David Spoon:He is before talking to Jesus.
David Spoon:He is before all things.
David Spoon:And in him, all things hold together.
David Spoon:Listen to that.
David Spoon:He is before all things.
David Spoon:Now you just go back to John 1:1.
David Spoon:In the beginning was the Word.
David Spoon:The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:This is really.
David Spoon:I'm telling you what Paul's doing.
David Spoon:The church at Colossae is hammering.
David Spoon:I mean, he's hammering.
David Spoon:Look, Jesus is God.
David Spoon:I don't know if you guys heard about that tablet they just found.
David Spoon: if they validated or not, but: David Spoon:And one of the first things on there is, Jesus is God.
David Spoon:Right on the tablet.
David Spoon:And so it's really important to understand that this is a major function of the Christian faith.
David Spoon:It's not an issue of theology, it's an issue of truth.
David Spoon:And so he is before all things in the beginning.
David Spoon:God.
David Spoon:Well, wait, wait.
David Spoon:Jesus is in the beginning, before all things.
David Spoon:Exactly.
David Spoon:Now you're getting it.
David Spoon:Jesus, right?
David Spoon:You got it.
David Spoon:And in him, all things hold together.
David Spoon:So you have to understand, this is kind of important for us.
David Spoon:Well, let me say it this way.
David Spoon:It's superbly important for us to understand that Jesus is the glue that has allowed the universe to not explode.
David Spoon:I know they think, oh, it's this or all these other.
David Spoon:No, no, no, it's wrong.
David Spoon:Jesus is the glue that holds the universe together.
David Spoon:And without Jesus, there is not the connection, the eternal connection between those who exist in heaven and those who exist on earth.
David Spoon:It is in Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:It is in Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:And everything holds together through Jesus.
David Spoon:How beautiful is that, right?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right, we'll take our break, and then we'll come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right Here on KWAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.

Unknown Speaker B:Actually, it doesn't pay anything.
Unknown Speaker B:But the eternal benefits are.
Unknown Speaker B:Out of this world.
Unknown Speaker B:Be a representative.
Unknown Speaker B:Why not?
Unknown Speaker B:It couldn't hurt.
Unknown Speaker B:Well, we hope not.
Unknown Speaker B:Anyway, you don't need to be a professionally qualified minister.
Unknown Speaker B:You need to have a pulse.
Unknown Speaker B:By that, we mean you need to have a heart.
Unknown Speaker B:Just go to hemustincrease.org that's he must increase.org click on the three lines at the top right of the website and then click on the Ambassador's initiative link.
Unknown Speaker B:Fill out the form and we will reach out to you.
Unknown Speaker B:Sorry, no parking tickets will be paid for you as an ambassador.
Unknown Speaker B:Through this position, the Christian faith is being attacked.
Unknown Speaker B:Fifty years ago, people would disagree with Christianity.
Unknown Speaker B:But with a sense of respect, those days are over.
Unknown Speaker B:The rage, the flesh the enemy.
Unknown Speaker B:And the atmosphere of sin is growing, growing.
Unknown Speaker B:Jesus said in Matthew 24, the love of many will grow cold.
Unknown Speaker B:And if it's not the end now, it's certainly a lot closer than it was yesterday.
Unknown Speaker B:You may be from a Baptist background.
Unknown Speaker B:David Spoon has that.
Unknown Speaker B:You may have a Pentecostal background.
Unknown Speaker B:He has that too.
Unknown Speaker B:You may have a non denominational background.
Unknown Speaker B:Yep, he's got that as well.
Unknown Speaker B:You may be from the Church of Christ Presbyterian Methodist Church of God or some other denomination.
Unknown Speaker B:But if you're looking for a show that's Bible based, spirit led and a bit nutty, give David a listen for a while.
Unknown Speaker B:If you like it, great.
Unknown Speaker B:If not, no worries.
Unknown Speaker B:The David Spoon Experience.
Unknown Speaker B:What is the David Spoon Experience, by the way?
David Spoon:I found out just the other day.
David Spoon:I know you don't know this, but I found out that I am one of the most hated people in the United States of America and in the world.
David Spoon:Did you know that?
David Spoon:Because you're a middle aged white guy?
David Spoon:Let me help you out here, son.
David Spoon:Let me help you out.
David Spoon:Not only am I a middle aged white guy, by the way, thanks for the middle age line.
David Spoon:Thanks, pal.
David Spoon:I appreciate that.
David Spoon:I'm not that far behind.
David Spoon:Okay, well that's not the point.
David Spoon:The point is I'm also ready.
David Spoon:Ready.
David Spoon:I'm also Jewish, okay?
David Spoon:So I have a lot of people that don't like me right there.
David Spoon:I'm Christian, so I have a lot of people that don't like me right there.
David Spoon:I'm conservative.
David Spoon:I have a lot of people that don't like me right there.
David Spoon:I'm an American.
David Spoon:Got a lot of people that don't like me right there.
David Spoon:I mean, you see where we're going with this and, and I have a talk show.
David Spoon:So that's just.
David Spoon:You put all those together, I might be left.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:I love you, buddy.
David Spoon:I mean, come on.
David Spoon:You know, just because they love me doesn't mean that they're right.
David Spoon:And just because they hate me doesn't mean they're wrong.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's K double amen.
David Spoon:770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Getting ready for your next trivia question.
David Spoon:So we know that the emails are working and we know that the phone is working.
David Spoon:If you're texting, just keep texting because at some point throughout today they'll all come in.
David Spoon:That's part of the fun.
David Spoon:Anyway, here we go.
David Spoon:Here's your next trivia question.
David Spoon:In the parable of the talents.
David Spoon:We were just talking about this with al the parable of the talents.
David Spoon:What did the servant who received one talent do with it?
David Spoon:He did something with his talent.
David Spoon:What did he do?
David Spoon: Matthew: David Spoon:Your reference?
David Spoon:Matthew chapter 25, verse 18.
David Spoon:I'm still going to give you all the contact information you can send.
David Spoon:You can call, okay?
David Spoon:Because the phone won't hurt you see, we're not hurting people with the phone.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Davidma.org that's davidmussincrease.org so the trivia question.
David Spoon:Pretty, pretty interesting.
David Spoon:There was the parable of the talents and there was the servant who received one talent.
David Spoon:What did he do with it?
David Spoon:Matthew chapter 25, verse 18.
David Spoon:According to Matthew chapter 25, verse 18.
David Spoon:In the meantime, we'll send you up to the website.
David Spoon:There's so much stuff to tell you about the website.
David Spoon:You can win a million dollars.
David Spoon:Not in this lifetime and not on our website, but you could.
David Spoon:But we are telling you to check out the website.
David Spoon:There is some great stuff up there and we would like you to enjoy it.
David Spoon:Check it out@hemustincrease.org prayer request.
David Spoon:He must increase.org praise report.
David Spoon:He must increase.org looking to give to this ministry.
David Spoon:He must increase.org confused by what's happening right now.
David Spoon:He must increase.org he must increase.org you're still here.
David Spoon:It's over.
David Spoon:Go home.
David Spoon:All right, here we go.
David Spoon:Your trivia question.
David Spoon:Parable of the talents.
David Spoon:What did the servant who received one talent do with it?
David Spoon: Matthew: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Or send an email david must increase.org we have a couple of jokes to cover, and we haven't had a chance to do this one for a little while.
David Spoon:So let's get ready.
David Spoon:Are you ready?
David Spoon:You ready for this?
David Spoon:Okay, here you go.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:You ready for this one?
David Spoon:All right, here we go.
David Spoon:I'm ready now.
David Spoon:We're not going to get a lot of response out of this, except for you're going to like one, two of these.
David Spoon:You're going to like two of these.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Okay, here we go.
David Spoon:When did Moses sleep with five people in one bed?
David Spoon:When did Moses sleep with five people in one bed?
David Spoon:When he slept with his forefathers.
David Spoon:When he slept with his forefathers.
David Spoon:So it'd be four fathers in him.
David Spoon:Five people in one bed.
David Spoon:You still thinking about it?
David Spoon:All right, here's the next one.
David Spoon:Where in the Bible does it say that a father, the fathers should let their sons use automobiles?
David Spoon:Where in the Bible does it say that a father should let their sons use automobiles?
David Spoon:In Proverbs it says, he that spareth the rod hateth his son.
David Spoon:See the rock?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Here's your last one.
David Spoon:We've done this one before.
David Spoon:Where.
David Spoon:Where is Solomon's temple?
David Spoon:Do you remember this one?
David Spoon:Where is Solomon's temple?
David Spoon:On the side of his head.
David Spoon:They are not original, but it was funny.
David Spoon:Yeah, that was predictable when it was good.
David Spoon:I know.
David Spoon:That is a good one, right?
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:People are like, what is wrong with you guys?
David Spoon:I did fall on my head when I was younger and they did drop me on my head.
David Spoon:If you were wondering.
David Spoon:Parable of the talents.
David Spoon:What did the servants who received one talent do with it?
David Spoon: Matthew: David Spoon:If you think you know what he did with it.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:David must increase.org so watch this next portion.
David Spoon:This is so cool.
David Spoon:I love this, though.
David Spoon:I love Colossians because there's so much great depth in it.
David Spoon:There's great, great stuff in it.
David Spoon:Verse 18.
David Spoon:Listen to this and I want to make sure you hear it.
David Spoon:Verse 18.
David Spoon:Jesus, he is the head of the body, the church.
David Spoon:He is the beginning and firstborn from among the dead.
David Spoon:Stop.
David Spoon:Just stop.
David Spoon:Jesus is the firstborn among the dead.
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Because Jesus, when he died, he resurrected, never to die again.
David Spoon:Other people that had been resurrected died again.
David Spoon:Jesus did not.
David Spoon:So he's the firstborn of the resurrected, never to die again.
David Spoon:But listen, to this portion, verse 18, which is funny because of what we taught on in the first 30 minutes, which tells me there's a great connection.
David Spoon:Verse 18.
David Spoon:Jesus is the head of the body, the church.
David Spoon:Let me explain something to you.
David Spoon:I do not care about your denominational background.
David Spoon:I do not care about which group you aspire to or connect to.
David Spoon:I mean, I don't.
David Spoon:It's like when I say I don't care, it doesn't bother me.
David Spoon:It doesn't faze me.
David Spoon:I don't care.
David Spoon:Jesus is the head of the church.
David Spoon:I don't care what group you're in.
David Spoon:I don't care where you're standing in it.
David Spoon:Yes, there were 12 apostles.
David Spoon:Yes, there are 12 tribes.
David Spoon:Yes, it's all that's true.
David Spoon:And who are they praising but the Lamb who's taken the scroll.
David Spoon:In other words, Jesus is the cornerstone, period.
David Spoon:And people try to elevate themselves or others to a position where Jesus has.
David Spoon:They have like some kind of connection to Jesus level of position, not truth, period.
David Spoon:That does not mean that we're not great people.
David Spoon:There are phenomenal biblical people all the way through, but they are not Jesus.
David Spoon:They are great, they're wonderful, they're admirable.
David Spoon:You just appreciate them and their faith and what they've done.
David Spoon:They are not the Savior.
David Spoon:There is only one.
David Spoon:And let's make sure we understand why this is important.
David Spoon:Because Jesus, being born of the Holy Spirit and being born of Mary, is the only one that can represent divinity and humanity, since he's the only one born of divinity and humanity.
David Spoon:So the only one that can reconcile divinity and humanity is the only one that was born of divinity and humanity, of the Holy Spirit and of Mary.
David Spoon:And nobody else can mediate because nobody else is qualified.
David Spoon:That doesn't mean that priests didn't operate in the mediate position, which pointed to Jesus.
David Spoon:Because the Old Testament points forward, the New Testament points back, and they both point to the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.
David Spoon:It's just the truth.
David Spoon:And so Jesus is the head of the church.
David Spoon:He's the head of the body.
David Spoon:He is in charge.
David Spoon:And I love many, many, many ministers, leaders.
David Spoon:There are some phenomenal leaders in the church.
David Spoon:I mean, really just great pastors, great ministers all over the place.
David Spoon:And I'm not talking about one denomination in all of the denominations.
David Spoon:They're phenomenal.
David Spoon:But there's nobody that's the chief shepherd except for Jesus.
David Spoon:Nobody gets the title, nobody gets the place.
David Spoon:And the idea that a human being could take that place, borderline blasphemy.
David Spoon:For sure.
David Spoon:For sure.
David Spoon:But keep in mind, it's blasphemy, the Holy Spirit that can't be forgiven.
David Spoon:Blasphemy against the Son can be so just point of fact can't change that.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:In regards to the parable of the talents, what did the servant who receive one talent do with it?
David Spoon:He dug a hole in the ground and he hid it.
David Spoon:The parable is there so that we would be aware that what God has given unto us better not be buried.
David Spoon:We're supposed to use it.
David Spoon:Get it?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:We'll take our break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
Unknown Speaker B:The David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:There is this pursuit in people to find happiness.
David Spoon:And we've just been revving up and going through the one person who had the capacity, who had the resources to do whatever he wanted to do in order to find happiness.
David Spoon:We find out that, as Solomon, who writes the book of Ecclesiastes, tells us, he tells us all these different, different things that he tries.
David Spoon:What he's seeking to do is find what is something that drives men, what is something that drives women, what is something that drives children, people, humanity to just keep going when everything seems vain and everything seems meaningless or everything seems frustrating.
David Spoon:And so he goes through, because his resources are unlimited, if you'll keep that in mind.
David Spoon:He goes through a whole litany of things.
David Spoon:He goes through, searching in, through knowledge and wisdom.
David Spoon:Talks about that in 1, 12, 14, finds out that's not the answer.
David Spoon:He does it in partying and drinking wine.
David Spoon:I lived in Temecula.
David Spoon:It's wine country, part of wine country in California.
David Spoon:Solomon had more wine than these people could ever dream of.
David Spoon:He talks about that in Ecclesiastes 2:1:3.
David Spoon:He talks about building a house, personal accomplishments, doing a garden.
David Spoon:He had artistic works involved.
David Spoon:Everything you can imagine, Solomon was doing.
David Spoon:I mean, he was doing it all.
David Spoon:He was creating gardens.
David Spoon:He had amassed a ton of wealth.
David Spoon:He had high levels of entertainment.
David Spoon:He had male and female singers.
David Spoon:The guy had more sex than any person could ever even imagine.
David Spoon:And he had superiority and control.
David Spoon:And he gets to Ecclesiastes 2, and when he gets to Ecclesiastes 2, 10 and 11, he says, when I surveyed all that my hands had done and had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
David Spoon:Nothing was gained under the sun.
David Spoon:He could not reach the level of satisfaction that he was searching for.
David Spoon:That was his conclusion.
David Spoon:He poured resources, he did this, did a lot of stuff.
David Spoon:So he gives two hints, two declarations, I should say, not really hints to help us understand what is the answer to pursuing happiness.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:Here it is.
David Spoon:This is.
David Spoon:I'm telling you, this is the biblical answer.
David Spoon:There's no other.
David Spoon:Here it is.
David Spoon:Ecclesiastes 2, 24, 26a.
David Spoon:A person can do nothing better than to eat, drink and find satisfaction in their toil.
David Spoon:This too, I see, is from the hand of God.
David Spoon:For without him who can eat or find enjoyment, to the person who pleases God, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness.
David Spoon:The answer, Solomon said, is God has to give it.
David Spoon:Ecclesiastes 3, 12, 13.
David Spoon:I know there's nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live.
David Spoon:That each of them may eat and drink and find satisfaction in their toil.
David Spoon:This is a gift from God.
David Spoon:If Jesus.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's Kaaman 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Your last trivia question.
David Spoon:Here we go.
David Spoon:Jesus said to Peter, what could you not watch with me one hour?
David Spoon:What were the disciples doing when he said that to them?
David Spoon: Matthew: David Spoon:Jesus said to Peter, what could you, could you not watch?
David Spoon:Oh, my texts just started working.
David Spoon:I got that alright.
David Spoon:What could you not watch with me one hour?
David Spoon:What were the disciples doing when he said that?
David Spoon:Matthew chapter 26, verse 40.
David Spoon:The texts are pouring in.
David Spoon:You know, that's just the enemy that's blessed that it's working now.
David Spoon:That's all I'm going to say.
David Spoon:Ha ha.
David Spoon:See, can't stop us forever.
David Spoon:If you think you know.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:You can also, by the way, still text.
David Spoon:I think it's going to be working.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:David must increase org.
David Spoon:Let's do a little bit of history real quickly.
David Spoon:Let's go.
David Spoon:Let him look.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:So it's kind of an interesting way to do this history.
David Spoon:You ready for this one?
David Spoon:It is Alaskatalo.
David Spoon:Alaskatallo Day.
David Spoon:You're trying to figure out what is that, right?
David Spoon:Alaskatello Day.
David Spoon:That's what it's Alaskatello.
David Spoon:Alaskatello.
David Spoon:And that is an Alaskan humor.
David Spoon:It is named Alaska Tallow, a fictitious animal that is a cross between a moose and a walrus.
David Spoon:Hey, if you're in Alaska, you gotta come up with some stuff to do.
David Spoon:I mean, come on, you gotta give him a break.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:I mean, there's.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:I guess they just couldn't really think of much this day, so they just came up with that.
David Spoon:They came up with, technically, it's National Stuffing Day, as in for Thanksgiving.
David Spoon:Plus, for those that do not know, this is the big key day for pumpkin pie, just so you can know.
David Spoon:So.
David Spoon:And if you don't like pumpkin pie, the Lord forgives you.
David Spoon:I will be eating stuffing next Thursday.
David Spoon:Yeah, I mean, coming up.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:A week from tomorrow.
Unknown Speaker B:Yep.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:Getting it.
David Spoon:Oh, it's going to be fun.
David Spoon:It's the only day where it's reverse calories.
David Spoon: Last but not least,: David Spoon:On this day, the first hotel television is used.
David Spoon: idn't have TVs in hotels till: David Spoon:November 21st.
David Spoon:How about that?
David Spoon:If you.
David Spoon:I wonder what the reaction was of people that.
David Spoon:That I checked into the room and saw the tv.
David Spoon:Yeah, I mean, probably some people just looked at it like, okay, well, that's where I'll put my suitcase.
David Spoon:Well, I was going to say.
David Spoon:They might be saying, whoa, this is fancy.
David Spoon:I could have been.
David Spoon:All right, your trivia question.
David Spoon:And we're at the wind down, and now the texts are coming in.
David Spoon:Are you serious?
David Spoon:It's so funny.
David Spoon:Your trivia question.
David Spoon:Jesus said to Peter, what?
David Spoon:And I kind of think he probably didn't go, what?
David Spoon:Could you not watch with me one hour?
David Spoon:I think he went, what?
David Spoon:Couldn't you watch with me for an hour?
David Spoon: ing when he said that Matthew: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:But I'm glad we're ending on this.
David Spoon:This is, in fact Colossians 1:18, and it is the single most important verse in the entire book.
David Spoon:That's right, I said that.
David Spoon:Colossians 1:18, the single most important verse in this entire book.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:I'm going to read it from 17 and then just blow you away with the last thing.
David Spoon:He's before all things, and in him all things hold together.
David Spoon:He's the glue.
David Spoon:He's the head of the body, the church.
David Spoon:He's the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead.
David Spoon:So that in all things, he may have the preeminence.
David Spoon:What does that mean?
David Spoon:First place.
David Spoon:That's what it means, first place.
David Spoon:So that in everything, Jesus gets first place.
David Spoon:So that in everything, Jesus is first.
David Spoon:I just want to make sure you understand that when it says, so that in all things, that word, all things is exactly the same as it is for all things work together.
David Spoon:In everything there is, Jesus gets first place in your life, in your relationships, in your connections, in your finances, in everything you have.
David Spoon:If Jesus is not first, he's not your Lord.
David Spoon:Uh oh, you trying to tell me I got to run business, run relationships, run this, do this, do this, do this, do this, do this through Jesus.
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:Would you like me to say it again?
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:Jesus.
David Spoon:Jesus said, clearly, if you don't love me more than.
David Spoon:And then he just lists everybody.
David Spoon:It's like, yikes, right?
David Spoon:Yikes.
David Spoon:Jesus is first that in all things, he might have the preeminence.
David Spoon:In fact, if you think you're living or existing so you can pay your bills, you are so missing the purpose of life so that we can glorify Jesus Christ and reflect him more and more.
David Spoon:That is why you are alive.
David Spoon:And people need to recognize that.
David Spoon:And I'm not going to pull it back.
David Spoon:It's like, nope, nope.
David Spoon:And everything, everything there is, Jesus has first place.
David Spoon:That is why I just want to say this.
David Spoon:He is the image of the invisible God.
David Spoon:In him, all things were created.
David Spoon:Things in heaven and things on earth, visible and invisible.
David Spoon:Whether thrones, dominions, or rulers or authorities, all things were created through Him.
David Spoon:And for him, he is before all things, and in him, all things hold together.
David Spoon:He's the head of the body of the Church.
David Spoon:He's at the beginning, the firstborn from among the dead.
David Spoon:So that in all things, he might have the preeminence.
David Spoon:That's why.
David Spoon:Just think about it.
David Spoon:It's like, oh, that's a really large list of things he is.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:So that we can know his position.
David Spoon:Get it?
David Spoon:That's why that's so cool.
David Spoon:And if you're not there, and let me say this really honestly, if you're like, I'm still learning and processing.
David Spoon:Jesus isn't mad about that.
David Spoon:He's teaching us.
David Spoon:He's helping us.
David Spoon:He's, you know, as long as you're there going, I'm willing.
David Spoon:I humble myself.
David Spoon:Just guide me, direct me so I can really understand that.
David Spoon:How do I make you preeminent?
David Spoon:In everything in my life.
David Spoon:Just ask.
David Spoon:You want to bet he answers that prayer?
David Spoon:I bet you your eternity on it.
David Spoon:How about that?
David Spoon:Ooh.
David Spoon:Should I say that?
David Spoon:Yeah, that's all right.
David Spoon:Listen that in everything, Jesus has first place.
David Spoon:Stop thinking your job has first place.
David Spoon:Or any other person or any other thing, including ourselves.
David Spoon:Jesus is first.
David Spoon:Get that?
David Spoon:All right, let's go back to the trivia question.
David Spoon:Jesus said to Peter, what could you not watch with me for one hour?
David Spoon:What were the disciples doing when he said that?
David Spoon:And everybody who texted in, by the way, and I got all of them got this correct.
David Spoon:He was sleeping.
David Spoon:Sleeping.
David Spoon:He didn't even really have to pray for an hour.
David Spoon:He just had to watch for an hour.
David Spoon:Couldn't do it.
David Spoon:Sleeping.
David Spoon:Don't be sleeping.
David Spoon:Jesus, first place.
David Spoon:Everything okay.
David Spoon:All right, folks, you've been listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:22 and a half hour break, then we'll come back.
David Spoon:More insanity with spinati.
David Spoon:Talk to you then.
David Spoon:Thanks a lot for all the blessing that you give me.
David Spoon:Thanks a lot.
