Hello, everyone, everywhere.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Pastor Bob Thibodeau here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Welcome to the Faith Based Business podcast for today.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:We're so blessed you're joining us.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You know, all week we've been talking about using storytelling.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Actually the past two weeks using storytelling in your business or ministry.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And this week we've been focusing on the science behind the storytelling.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And that's what we'll continue to do in today's session.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And you know, today I want to talk about creating a signature story that defines your mission.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Your signature story is the cornerstone of your brand or ministry.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It's the one thing that everybody should remember is your signature story long after the presentation is over.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:If your brand is, let's just say, climate change, whether you're for it or against it, right now, it doesn't matter.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Okay.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I'm just using that as an example.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But if that is what you are all about, but you give a presentation on the 13 steps to winning at Domino's two weeks from now, what will your audience remember about you or about the points that you're making?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Nothing.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:They won't remember a word about it.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Other than that, you talk for more than an hour about dominoes or something.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Right.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But if you came in and gave a mesmerizing presentation to climate change, again, right now, it doesn't matter where you're out on the issue.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I'm not talking about that.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It's just an example.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But the audience will remember it.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:If you were for it or against it, they're going to remember that however you presented your case, they will remember whatever.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Whatever it was you said.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Okay.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Because it begins with a very clear message.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Your signature story is the cornerstone of your brand or ministry.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It encapsulates who you are and what you stand for.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And a strong opening will hook your audience, while a memorable closing will move them to action.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But without the action, you're just a storyteller.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:By aligning your story with your audience's values, you will help to ensure that it resonates deeply and that your story will be remembered.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You should go into some detail.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Not too long.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Okay.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Two or three minutes.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Showcasing the pivotal experiences that shaped your journey and your mission along the way.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Highlighting transformational moments that define your journey by aligning your story with your audience's values.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:When you do this, it ensures your story will be remembered.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That it resonates is memorable.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:For example, if I was to be speaking at a climate change summit, probably never happened.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But if I was and I was presenting facts that proved climate change was false, I'd run the risk of being kicked out of the auditorium, wouldn't I?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And the opposite was true.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It would be true if I was presenting climate change information to an anti climate change rally.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So don't, don't look at me in that tone of voice.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Don't shut me down when I'm preaching.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Good.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Praise God.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You know what I'm talking about.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You need to align your story with the audience you're in front of.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That's the whole point I'm trying to make.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Align your story with your presentation for your audience's values that they hold dear.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Over time, your signature story can evolve.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It'll often reflect personal and organizational growth while remaining true to your core mission.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Crafting this story establishes that lasting connection.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It empowers you to inspire and guide others effectively updating and refining your story to reflect your personal growth and your organization's growth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It is always welcomed and appreciated.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It also adds that element of credibility to your presentation.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You know, this week we studied the science behind storytelling.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I pray you got a lot out of this very important topic this week.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Now, if you'd like to learn more, I got good news for you.
