Shownotes

Every week it's my goal to share a story of someone's journey through their life and financial vineyard. We take you from their roots to the journey of their vines and the influences in the air that have helped craft their delicious lives. Like wine, life and finances have different palettes that should be celebrated and not judged.

We welcome you to this edition of Wine and Dime where we speak with Lisa Crilley Malice.

Lisa is a time strategist and lord knows we all need more time in our day! What we didn't talk about in the podcast and have in the show notes, is that Lisa is going to be releasing her own podcast called “The 25th Hour”, with the idea that we all need that extra hour every day, and how do we come up with it!

We hope you enjoy this show and just remember life is about events supported by your dollars and cents. So, sit back, grab your favorite beverage and find your “zone of genius”!

Lisa is the owner of Impactive Strategies, she is a time strategist, recognized for providing practical solutions to everyday productivity challenges. A certified coach, trainer, and facilitator, Lisa works with financial advisors and their teams who are working hard to succeed and still want to achieve more. She knows that “one size fits all” does not apply when it comes to getting the most out of your day with ease. Using her fifteen years in education, a master’s degree from Ursuline College, and multiple coaching certifications, Lisa supports clients with customized tools to achieve more while working less.

Lisa believes in two solid life lessons:

Life lesson 1 - Just because you are good at it doesn’t mean that is what you are meant to do.

Life lesson 2 - if it is easy for you, it isn’t easy for everyone.

Lisa’s Process

  • What do you really want to do - what is their zone of genius?
  • What is it that you don’t want?
  • Building your day around your strengths
  • Implementation of a habit - putting the structure in your day to create success
  • How to grow your business through the right delegation (six levels of delegation)
  • According to Robert B. Maddux (in Delegating for Results), you can delegate to an employee or volunteer using 6 different levels.
  •  Level I – Look into the situation, get all the facts and report back for instructions.
  • Level II – Identify the problem, determine several solutions and the pros and cons of each, recommend one for approval and wait for instructions.
  • Level III – Examine the matter, send word on what you intend to do, take no action until you get the go ahead.
  • Level IV – Decide on a strategy, send word of what it is, and take action unless you hear otherwise.
  • Level V – Take action on this matter and report back on what you did and how it turned out.
  • Level VI – Take action, no further communication is necessary. The assumption is that it’s been handled.

Hunt Country Vineyards

Vidal Blanc Ice Wine

Winner of the 2017 Jefferson Cup for Dessert Wines!

Best Ice Wine, 2018 New York Wine Classic

Harvested in the deep of winter and pressed from grapes frozen on the vine, this genuine ice wine is a genuinely rare treat. It is filled with flavors of rich honey, sweet apricot and exotic fruit flavors. Delicious with a range of desserts. Absolutely wonderful all on its own.

Hunt Country Vineyards is the oldest continuous producer of ice wine in the United States; we produced our first batch of ice wine in 1987. Crafted in the tradition of a German “eis wine”, the Vidal grapes are left on the vines deep into the winter. We wait for the fruit to freeze solid and then early one morning — before the temperature rises above 15° F in the vineyards — we pick the grapes by hand. The frozen grapes are then pressed for many hours to get a small quantity of intensely flavored juice which concentrates sweetness, flavors and acidity. The resulting wine is deep gold in color and filled with flavors of rich honey, sweet apricot and exotic fruit.
