Paul’s “Revelation of the Mystery”

“How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words; Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ.” (Eph. 3:3-4, KJV)

Warren Litzman continues to clarify Ephesians 3 verses 3-4 with Paul’s use of the phrase “revelation of the mystery.” What is revelation? And what is the mystery?

Paul received this revelation directly from Christ. In fact, this is the first time in history that God spoke to a human being about an essential part of His plan. That is revelation, a God-truth revealed. The heart of this revelation is that God, in grace, afforded to every human being what he planned before the world was created. 

So, what is the mystery of this revelation? Stated in over 146 verses in mostly Paul’s epistles, God’s truth, that no human being is complete without Christ IN them, is the great mystery. 

Yet, this revelation of the mystery has been in plain sight in the New Testament for over 2,000 years! No religion or denomination has gotten the message, and no great preachers have gotten the message! 

God is revealing this message TODAY more than ever is this dispensation of grace. 

Are we living what the scriptures say? 

Every believer must come to this same revelation, by the Holy Spirit, that was made known to Paul and has been passed on in every one of his epistles. The revelation of the mystery is that, by God’s grace, we are saved by Christ IN us. Christ does not give us salvation...He IS our salvation! 

Paul states this clearly in Galatians 2:20 (KJV):

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth IN me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
