Whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.

And we're in our second message, generosity, the virtue that defeats greed and activates overflow.

And in this message we are confronting greed, and we fight it with the virtue of God.

Generosity.

Because greed is not just loving money.

Greed is trusting money.

And generosity is not just giving.

Generosity is proof that God is your source.

Greed closes the hand.

Generosity open opens heaven's pipeline.

You ever notice how greed talks?

It says, if I give, I'll have less.

If I help, I might struggle.

If I share, I'll fall behind.

And greed always speaks like God is broke.

And some people don't have a money problem.

They have a fear problem.

They're not stingy at heart because they're evil.

They're stingy because they're scared.

Whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.

If your world is always dry, check whether you've become a closed tap.

Greed is a false security system.

Greed tells you hold tight because you're alone.

But the kingdom says release because God is your father.

1 Timothy 6:17 says, do not put your hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God.

Wealth is uncertain, markets shift, jobs change, economies shake.

So if your peace depends on money, your peace will always be under attack.

Greed is when money becomes your pillow at night.

Generosity is when God becomes your pillow at night.

Greed is the worship of enough.

Generosity is the worship of God.

God.

Point 2.

Generosity activates God's multiplication principle.

2 Corinthians 9:6 says, Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly.

And who all?

Whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

Now let's be balanced, brothers and sisters.

This isn't a slot machine gospel.

Put money in and force God out.

No, this is a heart and kingdom principle.

God trusts resources to those who use resources to bless.

Verse 8 says, God is able to bless you abundantly so you can abound in every good work.

Meaning God's increase is often connected to assignment.

God doesn't multiply money for ego.

He multiplies seed for impact.

And Luke 6:38 says, Give and it will be given to you.

With the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

This is not just about money.

That's about the posture of your life.

Point 3.

Generosity destroys greed by retraining your heart.

Greed is a heart habit.

So generosity is a heart discipline.

When you give, you are telling your soul, money is not my master.

When you bless others, you are telling your fear, God is my supply.

When you refresh someone, you're declaring my life is not only about me.

1 Timothy 6:18 19 says to be rich in good deeds, generous, willing to share, laying up treasure for the coming age.

So generosity is prosperity with eternity attached.

A greedy person is always hungry.

A generous person is always full.

Here are some applicable lessons and we're going to make them rapid fire.

Let's make this very practical for us today.

1.

Start with a system.

Decide in advance what you will give.

Don't leave generosity to moons.

2.

Give where God is working.

Support the kingdom, the church, the poor, missions and righteous work.

3.

Practice private generosity.

Do something kind without posting it.

Starve private pride.

4.

Break scarcity speech.

Stop saying I'll never have enough.

Start saying God is my source.

5.

Be generous with more than just money.

Time, encouragement, referrals Help.

Seed is not only cash.

Generosity is not what you do when you're rich.

Generosity is how you become trustworthy for riches.

Here is a warning for us.

Greed will make you rich and still miserable because you never feel secure, only surrounded by stuff.

But here's the encouragement.

When you become generous, God can increase you without losing you because generosity keeps your heart soft while your hands are blessed.

God can bless a generous person heavily because generosity is a soft safety valve.

Here are some questions for reflection.

Where has fear made me stingy?

Money, Time, Love, Forgiveness.

Do I see my income as seed or as a trophy?

And if God has increased me by 50%, would generosity increase or would lifestyle inflate?

Let us pray.

Father, in the name of Jesus, deliver us from greed, fear and spirit of scarcity.

Forgive us for trusting money more than you.

Teach us Generosity.

Cheerful, wise, consistent giving.

Make us refreshers, helpers, builders and givers.

And as we sow into good works, bless us with biblical prosperity.

Not just increase, but impact.

Not just wealth, but worship.

Not just provision, but purpose.
