Rachael is the Research Software Community Manager at The University of Manchester and Software Sustainability Institute and Founder of the Manchester chapter of Her + Data MCR.

A real champion for D&I in STEM subject, Rachael has been instrumental in the Manchester data scene for a number of years now.

An Astrophysicist by trade, we had a great chat about doing a PhD in that world and what the current role involves.
