What is DCM? Canine dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). It's a primary disease of cardiac muscle that results in a decreased ability of the heart to generate pressure to pump blood through the vascular system.

What foods cause DCM in dogs? There has been a lot of buzz about the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) statements alerting pet owners about a possible link between dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), a type of heart disease, in dogs eating diets containing peas, lentils, potatoes and other legume seeds as main ingredients.

And we are here to put an end to this faulty, misleading research. Why? There are BIG questions around the reporting vets to the research, and how, ultimately, the research has turned into an opinion piece, funded by large pet food companies.
