Speaker:

Yo, what's going on, everybody.

2

:

Welcome to the elemental Evon podcast.

3

:

This is your host as always

Evan Roberts on this podcast.

4

:

I break down health topics from a

simplified and holistic perspective.

5

:

So you can walk away with some tools

in your hand, in your pocket, ready

6

:

to go, ready to apply them to your

life and hopefully improve your

7

:

health for the better today's episode.

8

:

We're going to be talking a bit about

a gall bladder and liver cleanse that

9

:

I've personally done and is a pretty.

10

:

Um, popular, but maybe a little

bit of an extreme cleanse.

11

:

I'm going to kind of run through, uh,

some of the controversy on it, as well

12

:

as what my personal opinion is on it.

13

:

And as well, this is all kind of leading

up to more episodes that I will be

14

:

doing on the gallbladder and liver.

15

:

Uh, specifically pertaining to

digestion as well as just overall

16

:

gallbladder and liver health.

17

:

Uh, also just on that note, who knew

that the liver and gallbladder play a

18

:

pretty big role in our digestive health.

19

:

Personally not I, um, and I think I

could speak for many people, uh, in

20

:

terms of, you know, just not really

putting those two things together.

21

:

Uh, but they do, they definitely play

a role and they are tied together

22

:

as are most things in the body.

23

:

Right?

24

:

I mean, you do one thing to one part

of the body and it tends to affect

25

:

every other part of the body as well.

26

:

So, uh, this is no different.

27

:

Before we jump into today's episode.

28

:

Uh, of course, as always check out

the awesome sponsors that we have

29

:

in the description of today's show.

30

:

That way you can go ahead and check

out some of the awesome brands that

31

:

I work with, uh, as well as some of

just my favorite supplements to take

32

:

personally, uh, you know, in there is

one that I talk about a ton on this

33

:

show, and that is the energy bits.

34

:

Uh, spirulina and chlorella.

35

:

Uh, something I take all the time and

as well, when it comes to detoxifying.

36

:

Uh, the blood, which is a

big function of deliver.

37

:

Chlorophyll, which is found in chlorella

and in spirulina is really good at

38

:

detoxifying heavy metals from the blood.

39

:

Uh, so it's kind of going to help the

detoxification process and also help

40

:

out the liver a little bit there.

41

:

And it's also just got a ton

of other great things in it.

42

:

You're also gonna find Organifi in there.

43

:

They have some awesome products and as

well in future episodes, I will be sharing

44

:

some of my favorite herbs and supplements

to take for gallbladder and liver health.

45

:

Some of which I have

no, uh, personal tie to.

46

:

They're just awesome products

that I really love as well.

47

:

Uh, and yeah.

48

:

I've of course, I'm here to share,

uh, any of the knowledge that I have.

49

:

That's really the goal of this podcast.

50

:

Is just to provide you with all the

information and let you just kind of,

51

:

uh, go with which way you see best

for yourself, because that's what it's

52

:

all about is your personal experience.

53

:

And that's a lot of what this show

is, is literally literally me.

54

:

Just trying things out on myself and

then I'm doing some research on it and

55

:

coming back to all of you to share it.

56

:

So let's jump in to today's episode.

57

:

So the gallbladder liver cleanse so very

quickly, um, I'm not going to go deep

58

:

into this, but as I mentioned earlier,

the liver does among many other things.

59

:

Uh, it D sorry, not detoxifies,

although it does, but it

60

:

cleanses your blood, right.

61

:

Filters your blood.

62

:

And then on top of that, one of the

big things in terms of digestion

63

:

and as well in connection with

the gallbladder is the liver.

64

:

The liver produces bile.

65

:

Which biol is essentially a liquid

substance that is used to help, uh,

66

:

digest and, you know, aid in the

absorption of, you know, fats, uh,

67

:

and, uh, assimilate them into the body.

68

:

So.

69

:

Bile is very important for any time

you're eating a fatty type of food

70

:

or fat in general, any kind of oil.

71

:

Uh, it is going to provoke the

release of bile into the digestive

72

:

system to help break down those fats.

73

:

So liver creates the bile.

74

:

Gallbladder is the gallbladder

is what stores, the Bible.

75

:

And when you're consuming some kind

of fatty food or some kind of a fat.

76

:

Your gallbladder, we'll go ahead

and contract and release some

77

:

of that bile into your digestive

system to help break down that fat.

78

:

Well, as if you've listened to

this show, you definitely know.

79

:

Uh, one of the common issues

that people have with their

80

:

gallbladder is gall stones.

81

:

And.

82

:

This is a whole topic that please

stay tuned for in future episode,

83

:

because I will go much deeper in on

it, but gallstones can build up in both

84

:

the bile ducts and the gallbladder,

and they can inhibit the release

85

:

of bile to properly digest fat.

86

:

If they're blocking the, uh,

the release pathway of the bile.

87

:

So.

88

:

Gallstones are no fun.

89

:

We don't like them.

90

:

We don't want them.

91

:

Um, they can be made up of, I

believe, cholesterol and bilirubin.

92

:

Uh, those are common.

93

:

Things that make up these gallstones.

94

:

And as well, many people who suffer from,

you know, High amounts of gallstones.

95

:

Uh, they ended up just having

their gallbladder removed, which

96

:

comes with kind of a whole other

set of issues down the road.

97

:

Which we'll definitely get

into in a future episode.

98

:

So by keeping it simple here

for the gallbladder and liver

99

:

cleanse that I'm speaking about.

100

:

What the cleanse is, is it's trying

to help remove those gallstones

101

:

as well as to aid in the health of

your liver and your gallbladder.

102

:

So, Since BYO is released

to break down fat.

103

:

What we do for this.

104

:

Gallbladder slash liver cleanse.

105

:

Is you actually fast for a minimum

of, uh, about 12 to 24 hours.

106

:

And then all the way up to even three

days have 72 hours worth of time.

107

:

Uh, yes.

108

:

And yes, you can fast for

that long period of time.

109

:

Um, some people will do a apple juice

cleanse where they're drinking apple

110

:

juice because, uh, something about the

apple juice helps to supposedly break

111

:

down gallstones, but essentially you're

doing a fast, which in general, fast are.

112

:

T they tend to be good for your liver.

113

:

They tend to give it a

break and allow it to rest.

114

:

Although there are some people who

would say that fasting is actually bad

115

:

for your liver and your gallbladder,

because they say then it gives your

116

:

gallbladder and liver and opportunity to.

117

:

Uh, build up gallstones because you're

not having a frequent release of bile.

118

:

So.

119

:

There's kind of a back and forth

on it in my personal opinion.

120

:

Um, I think fastening is totally fine.

121

:

Um, eventually when you eat.

122

:

You're going to probably have

some fats and you will naturally

123

:

begin to release that bile again.

124

:

So I'm not too worried on all of that.

125

:

Um, of course I could be

wrong, but I don't know.

126

:

My general gut instinct here is that.

127

:

Doing a fast is going to do you much

more benefit than it is going to do harm.

128

:

Uh, Mainly, if you do not have any

kind of, you know, Eating disorders

129

:

or, you know, kind of a specific

relationship with your food.

130

:

Uh, fasting tends to be

really, really beneficial.

131

:

So anyways, back to the fast,

the fast is a anywhere from

132

:

like a one to three day fast.

133

:

And then on the very last day, if

at your going all three days or

134

:

after your 12 to 24 hour fast, You

will then consume a mixture of, I

135

:

think it's like a half cup to a.

136

:

A cup of high quality

olive oil and lemon juice.

137

:

Yeah, I know it sounds delicious.

138

:

It's absolutely not.

139

:

It.

140

:

It does not taste very good.

141

:

Um, and then once you consume that

you then, uh, typically you'll drink

142

:

it in increments and then you will.

143

:

Uh, in between drinking the olive

oil and lemon juice mixture.

144

:

You will go ahead and lay

on a heat pad on your liver.

145

:

To just kind of stimulate it.

146

:

And then you pretty much just go

to bed and wake up the next morning

147

:

and check out what is in the toilet.

148

:

Because a lot of the times you

will see some, uh, gallstones.

149

:

So.

150

:

That is the method or process

of the gallbladder slash liver

151

:

cleanse, which I've done.

152

:

The re times now I want to say.

153

:

And my stance.

154

:

Well, rather, I guess I should say

what the claim is against this.

155

:

So there are people who say that

when you do this cleanse, what

156

:

ends up happening is when you

drink such a large mixture of this.

157

:

Oil and lemon juice.

158

:

It actually forms these little

gallstone lookalikes in your

159

:

digestive tract, and then you end

up releasing them through stool,

160

:

but they're not actually gallstones.

161

:

Apparently is what some

people are claiming.

162

:

Personally, I have never

had my gallbladder scanned.

163

:

That I could see all of the

gallstones I have in it.

164

:

Before, and then after a cleanse.

165

:

So I truly can't.

166

:

You know, Full on say yes, I can prove

that this cleanse absolutely gets rid

167

:

of gallstones, but I will say this.

168

:

When I have done this cleanse,

I have definitely passed.

169

:

These stonelike looking things

that look like gallstones very,

170

:

very much like all stones.

171

:

And as well, I just don't see

how the olive oil and the lemon

172

:

juice would be able to create

these in, you know, less than.

173

:

Literally like eight

to 12 hours in my body.

174

:

Right?

175

:

Like, To me personally, what's happening

is you're not eating for a period of time.

176

:

Therefore you're filling up

your gallbladder, which is

177

:

basically a reserve with biol.

178

:

So you're allowing it

to fill all the way up.

179

:

And then you're releasing a ton of

olive oil, which is a fat into your

180

:

digestive system, which is going to

obviously require a large dumping

181

:

of bile into your digestive system

to break down those fats, which.

182

:

Helps to release the

gallstones essentially.

183

:

Right.

184

:

So that is what is supposed to happen.

185

:

And personally, what I

think is happening because.

186

:

Let me tell you, like, These,

these look like legit gallstones.

187

:

In no way, shape or form.

188

:

Do I think that they are just

randomly made up through the mixture

189

:

of the lemon juice and the olive

oil within my digestive system.

190

:

So anyways, I believe that they are

gallstones once again, I can't prove

191

:

this a hundred percent, but I do

believe that this cleanse does work.

192

:

However, to that point,

After doing this three times.

193

:

I will say it is a pretty

intense cleanse, right?

194

:

Like this is, you know, if you're

doing it all the way for three

195

:

days, it's a, three-day fast.

196

:

Then on top of that, you're drinking

this really, you know, not super.

197

:

Tasty lemon juice and olive

oil, olive oil mixture.

198

:

Um, you know, you can

experience some nausea.

199

:

It might make you want to throw up because

obviously it doesn't taste very good.

200

:

And then you've just

consumed all this oil.

201

:

Uh, so, you know, you

have to get past that.

202

:

And then the next day you could

potentially have, you know, some,

203

:

uh, loose stool or just going to the

restroom a lot, whatever it might be.

204

:

So, you know, it's a pretty extreme

cleanse for what a cleanse is worth.

205

:

Uh, and there are other ways

in which you can care for your

206

:

gallbladder and your liver.

207

:

Um, I'm definitely going to

get very deep into those in.

208

:

A future episode, but just for.

209

:

Today's sake of the episode, a

few things that we can touch on.

210

:

Um, that are going to benefit

your gallbladder and your liver.

211

:

And once again, they work together.

212

:

So a lot of the times what benefits

the liver or the gallbladder is

213

:

going to benefit both of them.

214

:

But when it comes to herbs, for example,

you know, things like, uh, milk thistle,

215

:

Uh, artichoke and as well, we have, I

think it's actually artichoke root, sorry.

216

:

Dandelion root.

217

:

Uh, I believe marshmallow

root is in there as well.

218

:

Uh, these are all herbs that are

going to be very good for your liver.

219

:

Uh, as well as your gallbladder.

220

:

Then we have glutathione, which is

also very beneficial for the liver.

221

:

Uh, we also are going to have some

foods like apples and beets and carrots.

222

:

These are all going to be things that

are good for your liver and gallbladder.

223

:

And then as well, fiber fiber

can be very good for the.

224

:

Binding to have these bile acids as

they're being released from your liver,

225

:

which I'm going to get more into that

in a future episode, but essentially

226

:

that's really gonna benefit people

with their, uh, digestive system.

227

:

So.

228

:

Those are just a few things

that you can do to help your

229

:

liver and your gallbladder.

230

:

If you don't want to go down this path

of doing a really extreme cleanse.

231

:

Uh, you can take it much more easy.

232

:

Not go down that route or you could

also use an herb called chunka P ed.

233

:

Which means like Stonebraker basically,

um, and you can buy it in a tea form.

234

:

I believe you can also buy it in

capsule form and yes, a chunk up yet.

235

:

But I think it's C H a N C a

and then space, P I E D R a.

236

:

So that's an herb that you can consume

and it's supposed to help actually

237

:

break down the stones, whether it's

gallstones or kidney stones as well.

238

:

Um, so that is something that you can

also use, of course, uh, you know,

239

:

consult with a medical professional,

like, you know, go through all the correct

240

:

routes before just attempting some of

these things, but in general consuming

241

:

something like, you know, tumeric and,

um, you know, maybe some dandelion

242

:

root, something along those lines.

243

:

They're generally pretty safe

things to consume, but I don't know.

244

:

Maybe you have had issues with

your gallbladder in the past.

245

:

Might be something you want to consult

with a doctor or medical professional.

246

:

And I am not a medical professional,

so, uh, definitely seek out the correct.

247

:

You know, guidance on those.

248

:

I'm just speaking from

my personal experience.

249

:

Um, but yeah, so those are a

few different things you can

250

:

do to help benefit your liver.

251

:

And your gallbladder is to simply,

you know, consume some of these herbs

252

:

or supplements and to eat foods like

apples, carrots, beets, and then as

253

:

well, stay hydrated, staying hydrated can

really help your liver and gallbladder.

254

:

Um, and then.

255

:

In my personal opinion, because

some people don't agree with

256

:

this, but I do believe fasting

has benefits for the liver.

257

:

Um, so.

258

:

In my opinion.

259

:

Doing some fascinating is

good for the liver as well.

260

:

Consuming liver has been shown to

also be beneficial for your livers,

261

:

uh, the health of your liver.

262

:

So there's many things we can do exercise,

all the, you know, losing weight, all

263

:

of these are beneficial for our liver.

264

:

Um, and it's as with most things, right.

265

:

It's like, Drink drink water,

sleep well, exercise, eat well.

266

:

Like these are all the things that are.

267

:

Benefit our bodies anyways, but, uh,

specifically you can just stick with

268

:

the ABC apples, beets and carrots.

269

:

Um, as some foods that you can consider.

270

:

Beneficial for your

gallbladder and your liver.

271

:

And then as well, the fiber,

which lately I've been eating,

272

:

uh, more chia seeds than normal.

273

:

I've been eating a pretty

good amount of chia seeds, and

274

:

that's kind of been one of my.

275

:

Uh, big sources of fiber beans

are another great source of fiber.

276

:

Um, I've done a whole episode talking

about different foods that you can

277

:

eat that have high levels of fiber.

278

:

But overall.

279

:

What I would say about this

liver slash gallbladder cleanse.

280

:

I personally think that

there's nothing wrong with it.

281

:

I do think that it does remove

gallstones from your gallbladder.

282

:

If you have them.

283

:

Um, but I do feel that it's

a pretty intense or extreme.

284

:

Uh, cleanse and I think that

there's other routes to go.

285

:

Before choosing to go down that route,

you could do a lot of different things,

286

:

you know, consume different herbs, change

your diet up, take different supplements.

287

:

And, um, you know, you can really

benefit your liver in that way.

288

:

Instead of having to go down this path of

a pretty extreme cleanse, which, like I

289

:

said, In my opinion definitely does remove

gallstones, but, um, I'm no professional

290

:

and I have not obviously gotten a

scan done before and after a cleanse.

291

:

So I can't truly honestly say it, but,

um, from what I've seen, exit my body.

292

:

I can tell you it's pretty convincing.

293

:

So anyways, y'all, um, that's pretty much

it for today's gallbladder liver cleanse.

294

:

Um, this is kind of a little taste into

the episodes we're going to get into

295

:

with, uh, liver and gallbladder health.

296

:

Uh, so you can expect to hear more of

this, but a little bit more with the

297

:

emphasis on digestion and in what ways,

um, You know, the liver and gallbladder

298

:

are connected with our digestive system.

299

:

Uh, and then we're also going to get into.

300

:

Some things like malabsorption of bile

acids and, you know, kind of down a path

301

:

that I've been going, especially someone

who has dealt with, uh, digestive issues.

302

:

So.

303

:

Please stay tuned for those.

304

:

I think it's going to be a really,

uh, some awesome episodes are covering

305

:

gallbladder and liver health and their

connection with the digestive system.

306

:

And yeah, so hopefully

this was beneficial.

307

:

If you have ever been.

308

:

You know, curious in doing a

liver or gallbladder cleanse.

309

:

Um, like I said, this one

is a little bit extreme.

310

:

I would recommend reading

up on a few others.

311

:

People have very specific diets that

are good for the liver and gallbladder.

312

:

Uh, one of the foods that I forgot

to mention as well was bitter greens.

313

:

Uh, so when you have some kind of

a leafy green that's bitter, that

314

:

typically is good for the liver

and gallbladder, it tends to, um,

315

:

incite the production of bile.

316

:

Uh, so it will, you know, create more

bile and help that kind of flow happen.

317

:

But, yeah, so I would recommend

looking into some of these other liver

318

:

cleanses that are a little bit more

gentle, or maybe even just looking

319

:

into what herbs or supplements that

you could take or foods that you could

320

:

eat, that would be more beneficial

for your liver and your gallbladder.

321

:

Anyhow, that is going to

do it for today's episode.

322

:

I hope you all enjoyed it.

323

:

Um, I think that the gallbladder

is truly an unsung Oregon.

324

:

Like hero kind of, uh, as well

as the liver, the liver is

325

:

definitely gotten more hype.

326

:

Especially here recently.

327

:

Um, in the last few years, I think liver

health has been more, uh, spoken about.

328

:

330

you didn't think about with digestive

331

:

health and all that, but, um, we're

definitely going to travel down this path.
