Hello everyone, everywhere.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Pastor Bob Thibodeau here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Welcome to the faith based business podcast today.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:We're so blessed that you joining us again today.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You know, we've been talking about, you know, mastering the art of faith based storytelling and, and we're going to continue down that line today, all in an effort to show you that sharing your faith, well, building or growing your ministry is one of the most important things that you can do.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Let me go ahead and share this screen here and we'll jump right into today's teaching.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Praise the Lord.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And you know, today I want to, to look at how to actually craft these stories so that you can connect with your intended audience basically on a deeper level.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Now first, you need to have a thorough understanding of what it is your audience really needs.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Understanding your audience is the key to effective storytelling.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You know what challenges they're facing, you know what questions or fears that do they have.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:When you know these things, you can tailor your story to address them directly.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I mean, this shows your audience that you see them, that you understand them, you understand their needs.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And this helps build trust and encourages them to engage with you and especially when they engage with your message.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So your most impactful stories will often be the ones that reflect your audience's struggles, their hopes, their desires.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Select stories that mirror these, these common experiences.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:When your listeners see themselves in your story, that's when they connect with your story on a deeper level and it helps them, helps them to feel understood and less alone going through their problems.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Authenticity, though, in storytelling isn't about presenting yourself as being perfect.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Okay, don't, don't try to strive for that aspect of it.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It's about showing your real human side.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That's what they'll connect with.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Share your own challenges with them.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Share your moments of doubt, share your personal breakthroughs.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:When you let your guard down, it allows your audience to do the same thing that creates a bond that, that really will take your message and make it more relatable to them.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It'll inspire them and it definitely becomes more memorable for them.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And craft your story with language that demonstrate your empathy.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Express understanding of, of the struggles and the emotions that many of your listeners might be facing right at that very moment.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Empathy will communicate that you care about their experience and it makes your audience basically feel safe, feel heard, which if you want to get right down to it, that's essential for genuine connections, right?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Not only should your audience emphasize with your story, they need to understand that you emphasize with the struggles and challenges they are facing that you understand what they're going through.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And a powerful story doesn't just recount an experience.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It shows growth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It demonstrates change.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And share how your faith helped you navigate through a difficult situation, highlighting how it transformed you, made you better.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Include examples of how your training combined with your faith, allowed you to overcome difficulties that that ultimately helped you achieve success.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:This shows your audience that growth is possible for them no matter what they're going through.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And it gives them hope that they will also be able to overcome their challenges, just as you did.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Now, usually the next question I'll receive is about using scripture in your presentations or in the workplace or things along, you know, that line, you know, and you know, people say, well, you know, you don't want to be preaching.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And that's true.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You don't want to be preaching.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Okay.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But the answer I usually give is, well, tell you what, we'll save that for next time.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Praise God.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Hallelujah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That's my hook.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Get you come back next time.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Glory to God.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Let's stop that share here now.
