00;00;32;11 - 00;00;52;00

Lauren Brollier Newton

What's up, what's up? Welcome to the Abundant Coach podcast. I'm so happy to have you back. Lauren Newton here, seven figure coach. And let me just tell you how passionate I am about helping coaches to create a business that really works for them, to not waste time spinning wheels, doing things that don't work. Looking back, feeling like a failure.

00;00;52;00 - 00;01;13;16

Lauren Brollier Newton

We're avoiding all that stuff here. And I'm super happy to bring you this episode today. We always start with a quote, so let me read. I have actually three quotes I couldn't choose this week. So I'm going to start with number one because I think it frames the whole thing. If everybody is doing it one way, there's a good chance you can find your niche by going exactly the opposite direction.

00;01;13;19 - 00;01;34;13

Lauren Brollier Newton

Sam Walton so I kind of have a controversial way of thinking about niche, or some people call it a niche. I think niche sounds more sexy. You can call it a niche if you want. Niche reminds me of itch. I don't know, it reminds me of like a belly button. I know that sounds super crazy, but I like to say niche.

00;01;34;13 - 00;01;52;13

Lauren Brollier Newton

But you say it however you want to say it. If you've never heard of niche or niche, it's basically who do you focus on selling to? Who do you focus on serving? Sometimes you hear it said, it's like, who's your avatar? It all goes in that category. So I don't want to say I have a super controversial, take on niche.

00;01;52;16 - 00;02;15;12

Lauren Brollier Newton

However, I see in the industry a lot people saying things like, you've got these down, you've got a niche down, you've got a niche down. And I don't I don't 100% disagree. However, here's the problem I see happening with that. First, you've got coaches who are brand new, who don't know who they want to serve and then get freaked out that they have the niche down, niche down, down.

00;02;15;12 - 00;02;30;23

Lauren Brollier Newton

It doesn't feel in alignment. And so then they never get started because they're all constricted about not having this niche. So that's number one. I see that so often we want to get rid of that. And I think you're going to feel so much better after today's episode. But the other thing I see is niche down these foundation.

00;02;31;00 - 00;02;47;28

Lauren Brollier Newton

You might need to do that if you're running Facebook ads and things like that right off the bat. But here's the deal. I don't want to just sell to 40 year old acupuncturists who have back problems or, you know, whatever the super specific, specific niche is. Divorced moms who have two and a half kids and live in a two bedroom house.

00;02;47;28 - 00;03;05;05

Lauren Brollier Newton

Like, it's getting so over niche now in our industry that it isn't really working for anybody. And so let me just begin by saying we're going to throw all that out the window here, and we're going to do something that's going to feel, I believe, much more in alignment to you. So as always, think about it this way.

00;03;05;07 - 00;03;25;20

Lauren Brollier Newton

If you're just thinking about becoming a coach, I hope that you are finding a lot of yourself in these episodes. You're enjoying the stories. You're getting the courage to make that move. Of course, we welcome you with open arms here at Brave Thinking Institute. If you ever wanted to get your certification. And then there's some of you who've been building a coaching business for a long time, and you're looking for the real, the practical, the strategies.

00;03;25;20 - 00;03;41;27

Lauren Brollier Newton

So we're going to cover all of that today. So going back to this idea of and I love Sam Walton's quote, like if everybody's doing that direction, if we got to niche down, we got a niche down. We got to know our audience. Then let's do it. Go the complete opposite. I'm a big fan of being a rebel, so I'm here for it.

00;03;42;00 - 00;04;04;15

Lauren Brollier Newton

So if you're not doing that, what do you do? Because we know from a marketing standpoint you can't necessarily speak to everyone because then you're speaking to no one. I get it 100%. But here's the deal. I built a seven figure coaching business, 2 million a year, annual super impactful help, tens of thousands of people and I really never had a niche like it wasn't.

00;04;04;15 - 00;04;29;06

Lauren Brollier Newton

And here's the thing. It wasn't that I didn't speak to a specific audience. I still found a way to speak to the audience I was speaking to. But I didn't just serve a certain group of people. Every time I thought about Niching down, so to speak, I felt super constricted inside because I'm like, I don't only want to serve moms, I don't only want to serve business people, I want to serve people who are ripe for this work, who want to change, who want to transform.

00;04;29;09 - 00;04;52;29

Lauren Brollier Newton

And the industry would tell you, oh, that's not going to work. This is not what I should prove them wrong, didn't I? So here at Brave Thinking Institute, we empower our coaches to actually, instead of thinking so much about who you serve, the niche, the each niche, think about the problems that you solve. Because a hell of a lot of people have those problems.

00;04;53;02 - 00;05;14;04

Lauren Brollier Newton

And so if it feels constrictive to you, to niche, to a certain type of person, then you want to start niching to the problem that you solve. Now, there might be a variety of problems you solve. And guess what? That's okay. You can speak to each of them individually. Even if you're an online coach running tons of Facebook ads, you can still speak to different problems that you solve.

00;05;14;07 - 00;05;33;05

Lauren Brollier Newton

And that's going to help you speak to a specific audience. So, for example, if you're a weight loss coach and your specialty is losing weight without starving, you know, the client's problem is they want to lose weight. They're overweight. That's the problem. They want to lose weight. They want to do it without some of the stuff they've had to do in the past.

00;05;33;08 - 00;05;51;25

Lauren Brollier Newton

That can be something that a lot of people have. It could be men, it could be women, it could be old people, young people. But it still has to be the person who wants to lose weight. So it's niche down enough that if I'm like, you know, a ballerina who weighs 92 pounds, oh yeah, I'm probably not going to click on that ad, but I'm not your audience anyway, right?

00;05;51;28 - 00;06;13;06

Lauren Brollier Newton

Not that I'm a ballerina who is 92 pounds. I will tell you that. That is what we would suggest, a problem that you solve, a problem that you solve. So when we train and certify our coaches, we are training and certifying them to be transformational coaches. What does that mean? And I want to define it so that you can see when I bring in the idea of how we teach people to niche, how that works.

00;06;13;08 - 00;06;35;16

Lauren Brollier Newton

So as transformational life coaches, we don't want to just help our clients feel better in one session or, you know, put a Band-Aid on the problem or whatever the deal is. We want to see our clients completely transform a result that they're not in love with, to the result that they are absolutely in love with. So as transformational coaches, we're taking people from, here's my current life, here's something I'm not satisfied with.

00;06;35;19 - 00;06;55;01

Lauren Brollier Newton

Here's the result. Now we do it through a program. All of our certified coaches are equipped to train selling coach a program called the Dream Builder Program. Anybody who has a dream and wants to see it to reality. Now you might be thinking that is super broad and it is. It is broad because it can help people in all different categories of life.

00;06;55;03 - 00;07;17;19

Lauren Brollier Newton

We empower our coaches to say one of these two things, the types of clients I serve tend to fall into two categories. One is people who have no idea what they want, but they can feel inside of them that there's more for them. There's absolutely more for them waiting to come out. They just don't know how to discover it, don't know what it is.

00;07;17;21 - 00;07;33;17

Lauren Brollier Newton

The second group of clients that we serve are those people who know exactly what they want. They have a goal, a dream, but they haven't been able to achieve it either because they've had to work super hard, hustle to get it. They don't know how to get it, but they have a dream and they want to get there.

00;07;33;20 - 00;07;54;29

Lauren Brollier Newton

Now look at what I've done there. Now, our coaches and myself, because I'm a dream builder coach, are empowered to go out and share that you you're talking to a moms group. You can just start by saying, I help moms who and then you share, don't know what they want, but know there's something more or do know exactly what they want, but can't figure out how to get it.

00;07;55;02 - 00;08;10;01

Lauren Brollier Newton

I can go in front of a group of business people and share that same message. I could go to a meditation group and share that same message. So it's not that I'm speaking to no one. When I say I never had a niche, I just didn't put myself in a box that there's only one type of person that I can help that didn't feel life giving to me.

00;08;10;01 - 00;08;33;17

Lauren Brollier Newton

I came to change the world. I didn't come to change one pocket. If only. If you look and act and have this personality in this job. So that has really worked for our coaches. I would bet that whatever type of coaching you do, there is absolutely, absolutely a way to make it general enough that you could take it in front of different audiences and it could work whether in person or online, and then you can test it and play with it and have fun with it.

00;08;33;19 - 00;08;54;01

Lauren Brollier Newton

So that is my belief about niche. I'm not going to serve one group of people, you know. Drop me a comment on this on this episode if you agree disagree. I would love to hear your thoughts on what niche has done for you and all of that. Okay, let me give you my second quote for today Adele. The singer Adele says, I don't really need to stand out.

00;08;54;02 - 00;09;17;03

Lauren Brollier Newton

There's room for everyone. Although I haven't built a niche yet. I'm just writing love songs. Oh, I get like chills with that quote. I believe that coaching actually is a love letter, and that's why I loved how Adele connected niche with. I don't really have a niche, I'm just writing love songs is that I truly believe, truly believe.

00;09;17;06 - 00;09;39;21

Lauren Brollier Newton

If you're passionate about the type of coaching you do and really, really helping people that you're writing a love song every time you go to a networking event, every time you publish a Facebook ad, if that's what you're doing, or a YouTuber a real or you go however you're building your business, speaking engagements, workshops, however you're building. What if you wrote love songs?

00;09;39;24 - 00;09;57;23

Lauren Brollier Newton

And I don't mean that in the literal sense. Like you're going to go on stage and sing a song. I mean, what if you loved the work you were doing so much, you don't care who you're talking to? I'll share this with you. I live in rural Wyoming, so I live in Cody, Wyoming. It's a small town of 10,000 people, to the east of my town.

00;09;57;23 - 00;10;17;25

Lauren Brollier Newton

The next town is 45 minutes away. There's nothing in between except antelope. We always like to say Wyoming. We're very proud that we have more antelope than people, because there's about a million antelope in Wyoming, and there's 500,000 people, so I'm very proud of that. So in between Cody and Powell, the next town over there is antelope, officially known as pronghorn.

00;10;17;25 - 00;10;39;05

Lauren Brollier Newton

If you live in Wyoming, you wouldn't call me until it become prominent. Okay, so that's what's to the east of me. To the west of me is Yellowstone National Park. So nobody lives in Yellowstone National Park except park rangers. I go, I was going to give a workshop here about the transformational coaching that I do. And it would be easy to think, oh, you're never getting enough people because you live in this rural town and nobody's interested in growth.

00;10;39;06 - 00;11;01;19

Lauren Brollier Newton

Nobody has money and blah, blah, blah, and all these other technical, like, just tough love level. Those are excuses, that people use to not get started, not purposely, not because they're bad people. But the truth is there's there's a willingness for growth everywhere you go because everybody's a spiritual being, having a human experience. Totally off topic. We'll make another episode about that.

00;11;01;22 - 00;11;21;10

Lauren Brollier Newton

But I decided to have a workshop here, and I go to our local radio station, and I get interviewed by the morning show host and, like on this episode where they do local events or whatever. So it would be easy to go in with all these fears about people in Wyoming don't care about transformation, and there's no money here, and it's a small town and blah, blah, blah.

00;11;21;14 - 00;11;42;10

Lauren Brollier Newton

But what I know, and maybe this is what you know about your level of coaching or what you want to get to know as you become a coach, is that every single human being living thing on this planet wants more every living thing wants more, whether they admit it to themselves or not. All of us, even plants, even trees, even animals.

00;11;42;10 - 00;12;12;02

Lauren Brollier Newton

We want more life today than we had yesterday, and every single one of us is experiencing that want for more now. Some people stifle that want for more and they're like, I'm fine, it's good, whatever. But every spiritual being actually is having that experience and either is going to admit that to themselves or not. So when I go into a place where I don't think my type of coaching will be like, let's say you're a meditation coach and you're going into a big fortune 500 company, it would be easy to think, oh, these are business people.

00;12;12;02 - 00;12;28;10

Lauren Brollier Newton

They're busy. They don't care about meditation. It's we can make up stories about anything. Mine could be about the small town. So I'm walking in this radio station. This is a cowboy town. This is a rancher town. Here I come, like all woowoo and spiritual. And it would be. It would be easy to think like, oh, that's not going to resonate with people.

00;12;28;10 - 00;12;48;23

Lauren Brollier Newton

It would be just easy to like, get yourself pulled into that. And so I bring how I and we at Bray thinking Institute teach niche. I'm not going to speak particularly to a certain group of personality people. I'm going to speak to the problems I'm solving. You know, there's more for you and you don't know what it is, or you know exactly what you want and you're just having trouble getting it.

00;12;48;25 - 00;13;07;10

Lauren Brollier Newton

I walk into the radio station, there's this younger man sitting there and he's talking about some fair that's he's he's about to go on the same show and talk about some fair that's happening in Powell. He asked me what I do. I say I'm a transformational coach. I help people who have no idea what they want and want to figure out what it is, and people who know exactly what they want to have trouble, how to get it.

00;13;07;12 - 00;13;24;13

Lauren Brollier Newton

He's like, oh my God, I totally get that young kid here for to the radio station to, you know, talk about some fair that's happening in Powell. So that happens then I go in and get interviewed by the first morning host. He doesn't look like a particularly woo guy. Doesn't look like a guy who'd be interested in transformation.

00;13;24;16 - 00;13;41;05

Lauren Brollier Newton

I know that stereotyping. But you know you do it too. You're sitting there going like, oh, this person's going to be interested because this guy, I say my spiel and then when we get off air, he's like, dude, I totally resonate with that. And then the morning show host, who even more would not seem like the person who would be interested in this workshop.

00;13;41;10 - 00;13;58;25

Lauren Brollier Newton

I give my little spiel. He's like, dude, you're speaking my language. I know there's more for me. I don't know how to get it or what it is. Three unsuspecting people who you would never think, oh man. By the way, I definitely tend to attract more female clients, but all men totally raising their hand to my message because I spoke to the problem that I solve.

00;13;58;28 - 00;14;16;13

Lauren Brollier Newton

Now, if I would have gone in there with some, you know, niche that I just caused myself to make because someone told me I should, you know, I help 30 year old women do whatever. I would have missed helping those people. I would have missed helping everybody that heard me on the radio. So this is me.

00;14;16;17 - 00;14;37;23

Lauren Brollier Newton

My personal opinion about niche. It doesn't have to be so niched, so complicated, so narrow that you can't be yourself with the type of coaching that you do. Let me go back to the Adele quote. What does this have to do about playing your love song? I'm passionate about this. I don't know if you can tell. Passionate about helping people, passionate about helping you become an abundant coach.

00;14;37;26 - 00;15;01;04

Lauren Brollier Newton

So I'm going to play you a love song every single time I get on to record this podcast. It is a love song for me to you, because I care. And that no level of strategy, no level of niche can replace that level of passion that you help people to see that you have. Play your love song. Be so passionate about what you do.

00;15;01;04 - 00;15;24;07

Lauren Brollier Newton

Even if people aren't interested or don't find themselves in this category, they're like, damn, I truly respect what they're doing because they're super passionate about it. And like, I'm just happy to be a part of it because I'm happy to be a part of it. You know? It's like when I, own my own business. Before I came over here to Brave Thinking Institute, to be the director of Coach certification and coach coaches and run this podcast and all the fun stuff I get to do.

00;15;24;10 - 00;15;50;13

Lauren Brollier Newton

I had a very successful coaching business, seven figures, lots of clients. There are many of those clients who are not coaches who listen to this podcast because we love each other, because I played them a love song for years and years, helping them get what they want. And they come here because they want to continue to hear that love song, that passion, that resonance, that community, that camaraderie.

00;15;50;16 - 00;16;10;15

Lauren Brollier Newton

So playing your song huge, huge, huge. So I never really had a super heavy niche. Now at Brief Thinking Institute, beyond those two categories, which I've been beating the drum on for the last 15 minutes, we can how we help our clients because our Dream Builder program and our other programs, they can help someone with help. They can help someone with relationships.

00;16;10;15 - 00;16;29;03

Lauren Brollier Newton

They can help someone with business because it's transformational coaching principles that are based on universal law. That doesn't change. So like think of the law of gravity. It doesn't change. It doesn't change if you're black, white, Christian, Muslim, young or old, the law of gravity works for everybody. I'm not like, oh, I hope I don't float off into space today.

00;16;29;04 - 00;16;50;21

Lauren Brollier Newton

Law of gravity works. Love electricity works. Whether you're in Shanghai or Los Angeles, whatever the color of your skin is, whatever your creed, affiliation, gender, it works. And that's how actually human results all work the same way. They don't work differently for people who live in Asia compared to people who live in Antarctica. Human results occur in a very particular way.

00;16;50;23 - 00;17;12;15

Lauren Brollier Newton

So in our programs when we're teaching, how does a human create expanded, freer, fuller results? We do that through the Dream Better program and other programs, but we can apply those human result laws. Sometimes we call it spiritual on principle. That doesn't always resonate with people, but just think laws of the universe to health, to business, to love, etc..

00;17;12;18 - 00;17;37;13

Lauren Brollier Newton

So then if a coach wants to niche down even more because they're passionate about it and because they resonate with it, not because someone told them they should, then what we do there is we help them to apply those same two things to health, or to love, or to business or to whatever they're coaching. So you some might recommendation to you is take a look at what is the problem you solve minus the personality.

00;17;37;14 - 00;17;54;01

Lauren Brollier Newton

What are some of the problems you solve. And you don't have to settle on just 1 or 2. You can test different ones with different audiences and different, engagements that you go to and all that kind of thing. But you can find a way now if you are not a coach yet and you're like, so what is it?

00;17;54;01 - 00;18;14;09

Lauren Brollier Newton

What's in this? For me? What resonated with you out of what I said when I talked about being a transformational coach and helping people solve these two problems? It's something light up inside of you. There you go. Now you know the type of certification you want to go after. Maybe when I talked about health coaching that lifts you up now, you know, a certain sort of certification you want to go after.

00;18;14;11 - 00;18;49;20

Lauren Brollier Newton

So this is really, really good for all of us. And no matter how long we've been coaching to really, settle ourselves in around to this. So third quote, third quote, Neil deGrasse Tyson I think the greatest of people in society carved niches that represented the unique expression of their combinations of talents. And if everyone had the luxury of expressing the unique combinations of talents in this world, our society would be transformed overnight.

00;18;49;23 - 00;19;18;16

Lauren Brollier Newton

I totally agree with Neil. In fact, Neil, if you're listening, I would love for you to come on this podcast. Because I actually think Neil deGrasse Tyson is a great coach, even though he's that is not what he would call himself. With that said, when you're building your coaching business, you are expressing your unique gifts and talents, and oftentimes that can't fit into a box that somebody tells you you should fit in, you should niche, you should go on TikTok, you should do this.

00;19;18;16 - 00;19;36;13

Lauren Brollier Newton

You should do that. Here's the deal. You're super unique. You got to build your coaching business in a way that resonates with you. There are certain things, and we'll talk about this in many podcast episodes that every successful coach is going to do to a certain extent, but there's many pathways to those building blocks of a coaching business.

00;19;36;16 - 00;19;57;06

Lauren Brollier Newton

So with niche, your niche is your unique gifts and talents. I personally, I'm a brief thinking institute coach. I'm trained and certified in their programs and all of that. How do I make it my own? You see that I express myself in a certain way. You see that when I talk to my niche, there's a certain passion that comes out.

00;19;57;09 - 00;20;20;02

Lauren Brollier Newton

It's about putting your unique thumbprint on it. So I really want to caution you against the shoulds. Don't should all over yourself here, think about this. Can you niche down super narrow if that brings you life? If you love that, if you come alive. When you think of that, can you start with no niche at all and just get in front of everyone that'll listen?

00;20;20;05 - 00;20;48;13

Lauren Brollier Newton

Yes, you can, yes you can. Sometimes, there's a lot of different quotes. Marianne Williamson has one. Other people have one about the the fear that we actually have is of freedom. You're free. You're free to build this business how you would love to build it. And so my suggestion is don't wait for someone to tell you exactly what to do, but let it resonate with your spirit and let that guide you.

00;20;48;15 - 00;21;17;00

One thing I love about the way that we coach and teach at Brave Thinking Institute is we give you the building blocks of a successful business. We also encourage you to make things your own because business would suck if you can't put your own soul blueprint into it. So put your own soul blueprint into this niche. I've given you a lot to consider, but I hope the main takeaway that you have is it really isn't about a type of person that you serve, or getting super niche down right away.

00;21;17;02 - 00;21;41;01

Lauren Brollier Newton

It's really about the problem that you solve and bring your own gifts and talents and passion and all the things to it. I am always going to do a segment at this podcast called coached, where I'm either going to answer a question that someone has sent in, that they want some coaching around the topic, or I'm going to play you a little clip of some coaching that I've done that went well, that didn't go well or whatever it is.

00;21;41;01 - 00;22;05;13

Lauren Brollier Newton

So in this section of coached, I'm going to give you two questions that came in around niche. So the first question that came in around which this person knows knows the model well. So, Lauren, I hear what you're saying about having two general problems you solve and going in front of the group and, speaking to, you know, maybe the audience that you have, plus those two problems.

00;22;05;15 - 00;22;21;03

Lauren Brollier Newton

But what if I'm just speaking to someone on a 1 to 1 level? Does it still work that way? If I'm just speaking to an individual, I run into someone in the elevator, so to speak. All right, so here's the deal. First of all, I've never had someone in an elevator ask me what I do. So the elevator speech thing always makes me laugh.

00;22;21;03 - 00;22;42;29

Lauren Brollier Newton

Although I do have to tell you, I've had a lot of Uber drivers. Ask me what I do, so maybe maybe it's the Uber speech that we're thinking of. But here's the thing. What I just said is so not formal that you could bring it to an individual. So, for example, I could say the same thing I said on the radio to the kid that was sitting in the waiting room waiting at the radio station, which is I serve.

00;22;42;29 - 00;23;02;15

Lauren Brollier Newton

I'm a transformational coach. I serve two types of people. People who know there's more for them, don't know what it is. People know exactly what they want. Have trouble getting it. You could do this with any kind of coaching. Let's say you're a loving relationship coach. I'm a loving relationship coach. I help people who are in relationships deepen and expand the relationship.

00;23;02;15 - 00;23;26;22

Lauren Brollier Newton

They're in, and people who are looking for relationships find the one that's going to light their heart on fire. Boom. At like 90% of people are going to raise their hand to that. It's so brilliant. So you can say this on an individual level. It's not just a business level. My recommendation to you and I can tell a little bit from your question is that there's like a little bit of fear of saying the wrong thing, just whatever your niche is going to be in terms of the problems you solve.

00;23;26;24 - 00;23;42;16

Lauren Brollier Newton

Get it in your bones. Say it a million times in the shower, say it a million times in the car. People will often think, oh, Lauren, you're such a good speaker and all this. I will tell you, how did that happen? I talk to myself all the time. Like I will tell my husband I'm about to talk to myself.

00;23;42;16 - 00;24;02;26

Lauren Brollier Newton

Just ignore me because I'm practicing things. I'm running things. I'm seeing how it feels in my body as I share it. I don't just stand up at a networking meeting or even on this podcast and just talk and be excellent at it. I'm constantly running ideas, talking about it, working it out. I've literally been speaking into a shampoo bottles since I was five years old.

00;24;02;28 - 00;24;22;14

Lauren Brollier Newton

That doesn't mean that you have what I mean by your shampoo bottles. It's like a microphone, you know what I mean? Okay, so you don't have to have that background to be a great speaker or to get up and to talk about your niche with an individual or a business. But what I will say is you want to practice a lot before you get to the place where you're going to feel any nervousness or pressure.

00;24;22;16 - 00;24;46;22

Lauren Brollier Newton

The second question that came in about Mitch, the question was, I am more focused on building my business online, and I feel like if I don't have a super specific niche, I'm not going to stand out online. So how does that work? All right, I agree that when you're online, you've got to be more particular. I still believe, like those two problems I laid out for our transformational coaches.

00;24;46;29 - 00;25;08;03

Lauren Brollier Newton

I believe that works online too. The thing that I would share with you is, first of all, don't let that front stop you from getting started. So, like, I mentioned at the beginning of this episode, sometimes it's a self-sabotage to say, well, I got to know my niche first before I get started. I think the examples I've given work really, really well online.

00;25;08;05 - 00;25;28;20

Lauren Brollier Newton

I would say that I wouldn't get necessarily more specific on the personal, although of course you could. I would get more specific on the problem. So same deal here. I'm still going to focus on the problem that I solve. I'm just going to get more specific about the problem. So like let's say I'm gonna post a, a TikTok video.

00;25;28;23 - 00;25;55;18

Lauren Brollier Newton

Let's just say I want to post a TikTok video. I might put the headline like women, like, let's say I'm a loving relationship coach. Women tired of the first date awkwardness. So women are still super general. Okay. Tired of the first date. Awkwardness is a problem that I am solving, and that's going to get clicks. It's way more powerful than saying 40 plus women who are thinking about dating.

00;25;55;20 - 00;26;15;14

Lauren Brollier Newton

Might I get to click on that? Yeah, there's there's still a problem in there or whatever, but it's way more enticing actually to hear the specific problem. It's like and the other thing that I would say to avoid online, this doesn't really have to do with me, but it's coming to my mind. So I'm going to share it with you, is stay away from the jargon that we use as coaches.

00;26;15;16 - 00;26;39;13

Lauren Brollier Newton

I as a transformational coach, I'm not going to post a video or an ad online that says, want to transform your life. It's too vague. It's it seems a little spammy nowadays. Everybody's heard it. It's all maybe ten years ago on Facebook. It worked. Now it's not going to way too vague. And you know what? I don't really know if I want to transform my life because right now I'm stressed and that seems freaking hard.

00;26;39;16 - 00;26;58;02

Lauren Brollier Newton

I would way more suggest speaking to the problem, speaking directly to the problem. I know there's more for me. I have no idea what it is. How do we find this out? That is what I would be speaking to because I want to transform my life to the person who's stressed in this and that. Like, sure, that would be lovely, but I'm not clicking on that.

00;26;58;05 - 00;27;16;23

Lauren Brollier Newton

I'm out of time because I'm stressed. So that's what I would say about online speak to the problem that you solve. Speak to the realness of it that's really going on. Stay away from jargony general coaching stuff that you hear that you know, like like I want to overcome limiting beliefs, okay, some people are going to click on that.

00;27;16;25 - 00;27;35;14

Lauren Brollier Newton

But like that's not speaking to me. Like that's just it's not it's not sexy enough. It's not enticing enough. So we'll do for sure another episode on social media and things like that. But my answer to the question about does this niche thing that you're teaching work online as well? Yes, it does get more specific about the problem.

00;27;35;16 - 00;27;54;14
