Laurent:
Hi, my name is Laurent today I wanna talk with you about meditation
Laurent:
for a short while and mostly about the engaging with the practice of getting
Laurent:
present to what there is and nothing else.
Laurent:
Cuz that's what meditation is about for me it is the daily, most of the time a
Laurent:
daily practice where I'm learning to with what's here, what's now, and nothing else.
Laurent:
There are multiples techniques and multiple way, multiple ways I have
Laurent:
learned along the years to, um, develop one aspect or the other of, uh, my
Laurent:
meditation practice and enhancing capacity of my mind to concentrate and
Laurent:
to be with what's here in front of me.
Laurent:
But ultimately, what this is about is, um, a daily reconnection or
Laurent:
opportunity to simply be here without anything to do or anywhere to go.
Laurent:
It's a practice of allowing myself to not achieve, not accomplish,
Laurent:
not think, not deepen, but rest.
Laurent:
It's a practice of resting and relaxing and from there,
Laurent:
concentration, contemplation can manifest or can emerge, but at the
Laurent:
start it's a practice of allowing
Laurent:
The first line of my teacher is: Leave everything alone.
Laurent:
When I'm sitting and I'm learning to sit, I'm mostly learning to leave
Laurent:
everything alone, myself included.
Laurent:
Imagine what your life would be if you were learning to leave
Laurent:
yourself alone, things alone, people alone, as in let them be.
Laurent:
Let yourself be.
Laurent:
What's possible from here?
Laurent:
That's it for now.
Laurent:
Thank you for listening, and as always, let's stay in conversation.
