So I guess now Samsung can judge both your screen time and your spending.

The United States, according to a headline I saw earlier, has 105.8 million people not in the labor force, an all time record high.

And I thought, man, that's rough.

But after doing some research, this is a very misleading headline.

Okay, the raw total of 105.8 million is indeed technically an all time high.

But that's a number that includes retirees, students, disabled folks in an overall population that continues to grow older on average.

When you look strictly at prime working age adults, labor force participation rates remain near historical highs around 85%.

So don't let the headlines fool you.
