If you’ve ever tried to coordinate a "perfect" day with a spouse, kids, or even just a travel partner, you know that the dream rarely matches the reality. This week in the French Alps, I was reminded (probably for the thousandth time) that as soon as you add another human being into your plans, life becomes an exercise in compromise.
