Dr.Cecilia is a product of Self-Led Discipline and Leadership and what it looks like when applied again and again in life. She is a pediatric dentist today and she will share what it looks like from her vantage point to see parents and families that put leadership into their core values and how she used it throughout her own life growing up as a high-level competitive gymnast.

Bio
I’m a native of North Carolina, born and raised. Growing up I was highly competitive in gymnastics and went on to compete in the collegiate level at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After graduating, I moved to Wilmington, NC, and started working in a dental office. I was a dental assistant for three years before going to dental school at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. During school, I served as the class president and also had the opportunity to travel to provide dental care to underserved populations. After graduating in 2013, I completed a one-year residency program in Honolulu, Hawaii, and during that time, I found a passion for pediatrics. After Hawaii, I moved to Las Vegas for pediatric residency at UNLV and served as the chief resident from 2015-2016. In 2016, after finishing residency, I returned back to southeastern North Carolina to join the amazing doctors at Coastal Cosmetic Family Dentistry as we opened up the first full-time pediatric dental office in Brunswick County, Coastal Pediatric Dentistry. Even though I finished all my official education in 2016, I’m still constantly striving to develop my knowledge in pediatric dentistry. I completed my board certification in pediatric dentistry in 2019 and continue to dive into continuing education courses every year to help me help parents raise their children to be the best version of themselves. Outside the dental community, I’m an active member of the Junior League of Wilmington, a nonprofit organization that empowers women to create positive changes in the community.
